One of the must-visit food joints in Mumbai which is very famous for delicious yet very affordable non-veg food which is always crowded especially on weekends. Got the opportunity to visit this place after such a long time for the lunch and we have ordered mutton daal gosh and chicken tikka biryani in mains and caramel custard and phirni for the dessert. The mutton daal gosh was very okay okay in a taste and somehow bland for me, I wanted to have kheema pao but unfortunately, it was not available. The chicken tikka biryani was amazing in a taste with a good amount of chicken pieces. Never miss caramel custard and phirni at this place as they are too delicious. The good part of this place is that the food is good plus the rates are very nominal with a good amount of food.

One of the oldest and historical places near gateway of India and little behind the Taj Mahal Hotel. It is infront of the now famous Leopold cafe. Tried various egg dishes here and learnt about the Gujarati history from the members running this place. Would recommend egg pav.

Indian restaurant with an array of non-vegetarian dishes. 108+ years old iconic restaurant in Colaba and you can’t miss it. It’s a heaven place for non vegetarian as they serve one of the best mutton and chicken dishes. Though I opted for Quintessential Irani cafe chai and bun-maska and omelette. Prices are affordable and turn time is quick. Parking may be a challenge so ensure you park somewhere near by and walk only cash 💰 payment. So if you are around Colaba then this is a must visit to relinquish some good food

Amazing cafe with super affordable delicious food. 108 year old icon of Mumbai. Opposite the infamous Leopold cafe... Quintessential Irani cafe..must have burgers chai and bun-maska caramel pudding apart from the other sumptuous things in the menu. We ordered Mutton Biryani, Bheja Bhurji, with Roti & finally ended the lunch with yummy desserts like Firni, Caramel Custard and Mawa cake which was really yummy. I would really love to visit place again and again as the food is really reasonable. far better than bagdadi and some others if you are in Colaba n hungry must give it try. They accept only cash payments though.

All time famous kheema pav with egg omelette must try dish in this vintage restaurant. pani-kum chai is the best.

This cafe is legendary. You can call it vintage too. An old classic for irani food. The authenticity of this restaurant lies in the simplicity of the ambience and the quality of food. The best recipes to try are their classic masalas - chicken & mutton. My personal favourite is gurda keema. Fried chicken is juicy and crispy. Mutton chap is a fantasy to eat. And in the end to top it all off, the orange caramel custard. Dint find this anywhere else. Must try.

In the heart of colaba, the best kheema pav you can have is at Olympia. Serving excellent breakfast since years. Along with kheema pav, I ordered bhurji pav, bun maska and chai... It was a treat. Best part- good value for money. Do go and try Olympia. My rating 5/5.

A typical Irani style restaurant with a very rustic setting serving bun muska, kheema pav, burji etc. Service is very fast and prices are reasonable. Bang opposite the Leopold cafe in Colaba.

One place that is truly the hidden gems of Mumbai is Olympia Coffee House. Located close to Gateway of India, I was not aware of this cafe until taking a stroll nearby. We visited for morning breakfast, and they have a small menu best for non-vegetarian and eggetarian lovers. We ordered their Mutton Kheema Pav with their special tea and it was one of the best breakfast of all time. They also offer a wide range of other food options that will just add to your taste buds.

Located in the heart of Colaba. This restaurant is 100 years old. Had the kheema here and definitely recommend it. The Turkish chai with bun maska is yummy. The chicken cutlet with maska pav was nice too. Also has the scrambled egg which was fine. Finally the caramel custard has too much fat in it and less sugar coating. The service is super quick. The place was full when I visited.

I had very high expectations for this restaurant. As I heard a lot about this place while I was in Mumbai. But frankly speaking I will rate 6/10 overall , considering the food taste. Yes it has the vintage feel , less crowded and so many dish options. Ambience and Hygiene was good. If you are looking for a safe side restaurant so that your meal doesn't turn out as a waste ofcourse you can give it a try 😁 I ordered a chicken biriyani which was way more different from the traditional biriyani and the mutton dish was okay.

Taste is good, service is good, I do not like to complain about prices because every buisness has their own model BUT. 100 RS for a kheema where the quantity is THIS small is waste of money. Not expected of a place with this much heritage. I have used small lemons for scale to get the correct feel of the amount. I hope they improve on this aspect.

One of the best non veg dishes... It's exactly opposite to famous Leopald Cafe... They have family section on upper floor. Their typical seating gives vintage feeling... You will love their food and quick service... It's typical muslim restaurant but you will love their veg dishes also.. They give onion with some chatni it's yumm... And everything is at very reasonable price.. Don't forget to have caramal custerd.. enjoy your food...

Old, familiar place.....so nothing specific to report. Other than of course the falooda, which I ordered the first time ever and.....it was served in a bowl!! Guess I'll just stick to the Kheema pav and Pani kam chai 🤷 Also high time they started accepting modes of payment other than cash - it's 2022

Had a pleasant and tasteful breakfast over here. We had Kheema-Pav and chai. Kheema pav was very good and was affordable after ordering more pav and chai was just perfect. Took off all the tiredness and we were ready for our Journey. They only accept cash around here. We didn't had cash they were generous enough to find out a way to Gpay them.

Absolutely a yummy place for foodies!! No matter what you order they were all delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous towards the guests. We tried most of the curries with pavs and rotis, really mouthwatering……omlets, keema, silver chicken, mutton keema pav are must try items. Also please try irani chai & sulaimani that are awesome treat for after meal.

Was really looking forward to trying the food here. I was born in Mumbai and my parents always raved about this place. Don't get me wrong, the taste of the food was amazing BUT I was really disappointed in the serving size. If it wasn't for chapati, I would have left my dinning experience still hungry. They don't compromise on the quality, that's for sure but I wish the portion sizes were as big as they used to be.

  • 4/5 Toranj D. 4 years ago on Google
Honest food, honest prices, BEST KHEEMA in Mumbai (only for breakfast). Do drop in by 10am if you want it though as it gets sold out by 10.30 -11.00 ish. Have a Sunny Side Up with the kheema for an even more decadent (and greasy) experience. Mop it all up with laadi paav or steaming hot chapatis or if you are like me, a chapati with half a portion of the paav. 40 years of eating the same and I have still not made up my mind if i prefer the chapati over the "Laadi paav"..... Finish the spicy kheema with their equally famous sweet milky tea....

One look at the menu and you are bound to go cray-cray. Their mutton kheema pav (₹50) and mutton roast has been an all-time favorite since times immemorial and are must-haves for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, try their Mutton Boti Kebabs, Chicken/Mutton Masala Fry and the Bheja Fry; this trio will blow your mind away. Chicken liver masala fry, tandoori chicken and mutton biryani are among their fastest selling dishes. For dessert, you have to try the evergreen Caramel custard, which is light as a feather. We cannot stress enough on that!

Hype for no reason. Even their special items are not special. Most of the items are bland. We even found hair in kheema masala . Although they did replace the order but our mood was already spoiled. They don't have tandoor no randoori itmes thats another negative. Those days are gone when they use to serve good food. Won't recommend now. 2 stars only for tandoori tikke that we order that was tasty. But again it was written 8 pcs but we received only 6 pcs .

Old world charm Fortunately this restaurant starts quite early in the morning. I visit this eatery whenever I am in Colaba and love the food they serve. People swear by their biryani. Had breakfast over here !! Ate mutton keema pav (Goat's mince meat with bread). It was not spicy but mild but still very delicious. But it was so good that u go for a 2nd serving. But tbh I would say, that 1 portion is not enough for filling your tummy. The staff are polite & the food was served without much delay. Will definitely visit this place again & again to try their diverse menu. 😇

Had heard a lot about this place but my experience was quite average overall. The place is decent and has upstair seating too. Had the kheema and egg curry with pav and it was just ok. The pav was not that fresh. Portion size is ok but pricing not justified. Service was quick. Ambiance - 3/5 Service - 3.5/5 Food Quality/ Presentation - 3/5 Taste - 3/5 Portion Size - 3.5/5 Value for money - 3.5/5

Good old place, nice food, we had bheja masala which we didn’t like, chicken Biryani was good, chapati and paratha we didn’t like, chicken tandoori was good, phirni, caramel custard and falooda were good. But nimbu paani was the best I’ve ever had. They prefer cash payments so better carry cash. Menu prices are pretty reasonable, must try.
