Excellent south indian food Service is polite, and there are plenty of staff in circulation. Their dosa, idli, vada and sambhar are so fresh and hot and yummy. Sambhar is a little on the sweet note. A new dish I tried this time was the mini vada pav, pic attached. 10 pieces were served as bite sized portions held together with a tooth-pick. Super yummy and a must try!

What an amazing restaurant serving tasty and delicious finger licking food. Brilliant gujrati thali. Jus enjoyed every thing about this place. Aside the food, the service and the staff was impeccable. You tend to eat more when someone serves genuinely and with a smile. Would be coming here again with kids soon and highly recommended for all the food lovers.

One of my favourite restaurant for Sunday breakfast. Restaurant starts at 10:30 and you can see people already waiting for it to open. They serve delicious south Indian food and street food. My favourite food items are aloo wada, sada dosa n tomato Omelet.

Hungry for snacks and South Indian food visit Status. I just love their moong dal khichdi with ghee on top. The idlis are nice and soft, medu wadas pipping hot and crisp. On week days it is difficult to getting car parking over there so usually we go on Sundays. Since it is an office area at lunch time it is packed and you may have to wait for your table this place is always packed, and its easy to see why. The food is very very good, the service is quick, and the prices mid-range considering the area it is situated in, and the ambience.

A wonderful place to have a group dinning. Make sure you be there before 7.15 on weekends otherwise you will end up waiting in a long que. Waiting would be of approx. 50 people on weekends. Though they have large space for dinning as well as waiting area. service is superfast. food is undoubtedly delicious and one of the pleasent thing is waiter/order taker here won't misguided you to order for costlier dishes infact they will help you to make a nice selection based on our interest. Must go place once in a month!

Veg kurma and reshmi paratha, reshmi paratha is good to eat, and amazing things was which I like their serve chutney, sweet chutney, aachar, chunda, onions, lemons together so if u want spicy more you go with spicy chutneys and aachar and if u feel so spicy then you go with chunda and sweet chutney.

Old school fine dine place in today's time. Fast service. Good food. Staff is quick and you can make out they know what they are doing. Place is cozy and buzzing with crowd. A great place to come with your family for a dinner. Menu is pretty much straight forward and simple

Status Nariman Point is a vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Mumbai's business district. It is a popular,  is known for its delicious South Indian cuisine. recently visited Status for Sunday breakfast, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the piping hot steam idli, rava dosa, and filter coffee. The idli was soft and fluffy, the dosa was crispy and flavorful, and the coffee was strong and aromatic. The service at Status was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made sure that my food was cooked to perfection.  It is a small, clean open restaurant Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Status Nariman Point. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great South Indian meal in Mumbai.

Being a Wednesday evening,it was super crowded. Please have a reservation whenever you intend to go. The starters are good. The cheese corn balls are definitely a try. The chilli garlic sauce is very tasty ,you can combine with the cheese corn ball.Gravies in the Main course are not that great. The cheese garlic naan is a must try.THey have a spesso cafe which is good. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Washrooms are a big problem. There are just two which are common and dirty .

The food and service is classy, we wanted to have pav bhaji , however the waiter clearly warned us it won't be the usual pav which we expect, these are mini Pav in which they serve the bhaji, they are like mini burgers lol. We ordered cheese dosa and puri bhaji, food was good the Tea and Water melon juice were expensive, paid ₹120 for Tea and ₹230 for watermelon that's a little high.

The dine in experience was good 👍. The main restaurant was full when we reached the restaurant, so the manager arranged setting at the banquet hall that they converted into the dine in when the main area got full or no function held in the hall. Overall, it was a nice experience. The ambiance is good, and the service is great. Order takes minimum time as compared with other restaurants. Hope next time I'll get a chance to enjoy food in main dine in area.

This was my second visit to Status but since I visited on Sunday evening there was waiting of 45 minute to one hour but things were in organised manner. I tired 1) Mini Pav bhaji - would recommend to try Mini Vada pav instead 2) Cheese Garlic Naan - must try 3) Panner Tikka Masala- okay okay 4) Papad Churi - Good to try 5) Mango Cheesecake- Must try item when in Nariman Point & looking for yummy vegetarian food then one should visit this restaurant.

So, we travelled all the way from Malad to Sobo to have dinner at Status, the very famous eating joint at the Southern end of the city. 17 hungry souls including adults and kids reached this very crowded place for a scrumptious and much wanted meal. We started off with 4 different varieties of starters. Go pay attention to the assorted chutneys and sliced onions and 'Chundo' kept on the table. Try the Chundo, you'll love it. 1. Mini Pav Bhaji: Bite sized pav stuff with bhaji were yummy in the tummy. 2. Papad Lifafa: The server convinced us to go for this instead of Masala Papad. It's good, but I'll stick to the latter. 3. Paneer Kurkure: Paneer coated with a crunchy batter. Good stuff. 4. Mini Samosa: Bite sized samosa stuffed with masala and cashews. Tasty. I think we should have stopped at this. But we decided to order main course. And it led to Status losing 2 stars on this review. The sabzis were very very average and so were the assorted breads/ rotis. I've had better mains at half the price from a local eatery in my area. We ordered 2 Cokes but they only serve cans which were not at all chilled. There's a table at the end with mukhwas on it. Please don't risk it. You don't know where all those hands have been. It is worth a visit and if they improve their mains, they get the additional ⭐. We went on a weekday and it was packed. Kindly go with enough time. I've heard it gets mad rush on weekends.

Ordered this idli chilly from this place. It is fulfilling for a single person with a good appetite. The packaging was spill proof and was served with mint chutney. But expected that the idli be coated with batter, fried and then tossed in the sauce to give it an excellent flavour. But nevertheless it was good in taste and thumbs up for the quantity quotient.

Highly recommend this place if you’re around in the area , don’t miss the Gujarati Thali and the Theplas .I was looked after by Madhav a guy from Orissa , he’s well versed with Indian Cuisine, very friendly and takes good care of his customers . The floor manager Hegde and the Manager at the entrance manage their staff very well which definitely makes a difference!

Wonderful restaurant and tasty dishes.. there is always a huge crowd at this place with a wonderful range of multiple cuisines ..And it's a treat to jain food lovers too!! The staff were very friendly and quick in serving our dishes. We tried their south Indian dishes too and they were too good . We had their Jain pav bhaji sliders, corn cheese balls, rava idlis , dosa , with mint, tamarind chutney and idli podi. Tomato soup was too sweet for our liking and they were kind enough to not charge us as we didn't like it. We had their one of their signature red velvet cake which was top notch!! People who go to Mumbai must really dine at this place atleast once !

Absolutely love this restaurant. Been going there for years and food had remained the same. They are known for their south indian food and surely don't disappoint. Love the dosas, chutney and the sambhar. Their tradition of giving the entire container of Sambhar is also very unique and nice. Tried Punjabi today and was kinda disappointed in the Veg Makhanwala but the Garlic naan and the Roomali roti were absolutely delicious. Also tried Hara bhara kabab and the paneer lifaffa and they were decent.

Good food. Mini pav bhaji is a hit and ofcourse other dishes. There is no issue of wearing mask once inside. Even waiters don't wear. There is no table blocked for social distancing. All tables are active. Waiters breath down your throats while giving recommendations. Also we had a lady with full blown cold sitting in adjoining table not even 1 metre away from me. She did not have a mask. Even at 8.45pm the place was full. It was a frightening 1 hour spent inside and was relieved when I got out of there. If you want to go mask less and not worry facing a crowd of eaters and waiters then the food experience is just fantastic.Dosa size is now smaller than 9 inch pizza size.

Status is a pure veg joint, situated at Nariman Point in South mumbai. It is always crowded and if you reach post 8.30 you may also have to wait a while. The food was amazing. We ordered the Jain Paneer Tikka starter and it came quickly. The paneer was soft and the taste was good as well. Followed it with Jain Veg Kadhai and regular Matar Kabab Vegetable. Taste could have been better but can't complain. Quality and portion are pretty decent. We ended our dinner with Blue Berry Cheese Cake Pastry and some Chocolate dessert I have forgotten the name of but u can use my picture for reference at the restaurant. The blue berry cheese cake was so yummmmm and fresh and the base was so crumbly and tasty I will give a 7 on 5 for this one. The chocolate dessert was yumm too but a 4 out of 5 will have to do. The restaurant is clean, staff is well trained and courteous. Cost wise its a little above average. All in all a 4 star for the restaurant. Note: sorry no food pics cz spending time with family was the motto. But I got to click some of the dessert.

Well this is a popular restaurant among locals since a long time . Status restaurant is known for their South Indian food, Gujarati Thali and North Indian food. We had been here for breakfast in the morning. We had Idli vada sambhar, Mysore Dosa and Sada Dosa and tea here . The food served here is fresh and delicious. Well, for breakfast they have a self service food stall here. You can take your food and stand and have your food on the tables put up there. The place is kept clean. Also, the best part is they provide unlimited Sambhar along with the South Indian food.

I visited this place recently for a family function. I had gujrati thali, food taste was really good. Different varieties of vegetables, roti, puries, thepla. Etc. The Only thing I didn't like manager's behavior towards end when we were done with our lunch. It was a family function of 30-35 people so they were greeting each other and he was asking everyone to leave immediately. Even when I entered, he was not so welcoming person. Apart from that it was a nice experience.

After so long at this restaurant I felt everything like an old school restaurant. So, we were travelling by car and we got roadside parking here with proper parking stop. Further, once we entered the restaurant it gave me a proper restaurant vibe like all the staff were clean shaved, with proper neat and clean dress. It was a really good experience. The service was really fast. I suggest you ask the staff in advance to bring your order slowly as back on back they will bring on all the orders. The ambience was pretty normal with no music, nothing. It was a total family restaurant you can go to here, have food, and enjoy your family time. All the seats are with proper back support and spongy. The following were the items that we tried : 1. Idli Chilly: So it's basically idli made in Chinese style, just like Manchurian but instead of Manchurian you will have idli pieces. 2. Podi idli : I really loved this as it contains a proper masala of podi and mini idli and a mixture of kadi patta, and sarso etc. 3. Rawa dosa : A crunchy dosa served along with sambhar and dry nariyal chutney. 4. Schezwan cheese balls : Cheese ball dipped in Schezwan gravy.

Its one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in city. Largely known for its Gujarati Thali, there are more than enough options for alacarte... from appetizers to chat to mocktails to desserts....all options are covered in menu. The food is very tasty and service is very fast. The waiters are polite and try to accommodate all your requests. The ambience is good but the place becomes very noisy sometimes when full. The parking is available in BMC paid parking slots on roadside.

A perfect 100% pure veg family restaurant located at Nariman point. Amazing staff, great hospitality, hygiene, quick service and great food quality and taste. Paneer is soft, starters are value pack, garlic naan is perfectly cooked the way it should be, chhas was good, roomali roti, reshami roti and rava idli is amazing. Coming to dessert, Gulab jamun was the softest ever had and great to it's taste.

Superb experience. It was my first time trying their thali and it was just fantastic. The taste, the variety, the quality all was really good and more over it's unlimited (except for the sweet). Very filling and you will feel tummy happy as it doesn't bloat you to the throat. You will feel full and satisfied once you finish ( provided you know when to stop). Over all an awesome experience for us. Even the service staff was very polite and helpful at all times.

Awesome veg food. Very good option for veg eaters. Try out Veg thali, and their sambar

  • 3/5 Richa M. 3 months ago on Google New
My review is purely based on south indian dishes. Have had food here, at least 10-12 times to try all the dishes and to compare if they could have been different. They do make amazing dosas for sure, you order masala, mysore, plain or any other dosa. Reason, they are literally dipped in ghee. But taste is too good. A South Indian cook or food lover will know the difference. Idly pretty average. Upma, again dipped in oil n ghee. Mendu vadas, really good! What never changed in all these visits, is Sambar and chutney. It hurts to see such dry coconut chutney. Least you can do is add some water if nothing. Its really weird. There are very basic ingredients in a coconut chutney and that has not been included here. Sambar has too much sugar in it. I am yet to find an authentic Samabar in south bombay. Its feels like some other dish all together. May be they have made the changes according to what suits the public but definitely not close to South Indian.

  • 4/5 Amitesh D. 2 months ago on Google New
Overall, very good food and excellent service. Has the Thali and a masala dosa on the table, and the thali experience was amazing. Food was fresh, and the service staff was impeccable. Knocking a star down, only because of the fact that there was a long waiting queue - which became very crowded and chaotic. Please take a certain number of reservations or have a virtual queue system so that people can understand estimated waiting times before deciding to eat.

I have been to status hotel in mahim with my friends for lunch before lockdown Ordered 3 dishesh over there 1) screw driver 2)chicken lollypop 3) Spicy sea food soup 4)vanilla ice cream with slices of mangoes 1️⃣screw driver juice? - That was the combination of orange juice and vodka ? the pros of this drink was  it was more of an orange tangy flavoured. They served with cup of peanuts with it ??yaayy??   2️⃣chicken lollypop? There were 6 pieces in a plate the entire plate was beautifully garnished chiken lollypop & full of spicy Gravy. It was garnish with the spring onion and along with there was a dressing of carrot and coriander in dish, which was totaly great dish presentation & eye catching also . The lollypop was little spicey chiken was good in quality wise 3️⃣ Spicy Sea food soup ? It was tasty & filling. Perfect soup nothing need to do do any corrections. 4️⃣ Vanilla ice cream with mango slice dessert we order. I love to taste dessert wherever i go so decided to try this i juz luved it ice cream was vanilla flavour and creamy good thick texture and this dessert  was topped with waffle we loved it taste wise it was yummyyy and mouth watering ❤???? ➡️Ambience - There are 2 section download side & upward side. Full of air conditioning & very well seating area. They are big Fish tank with beautiful fishes inside in it ? The restaurant is very full of peace & lovely place to spend time with Family & friends ➡️Staff- The staff is very genuine & helpful attitude. Even they help us what to order. Status has two locations where you can eat. One is outside and one inside. If it's a family lunch or dinner, choose the indoors. On a holiday, you might want to come a little early because you will have to wait to get a table. This is a popular restaurant amongst locals and the offices in the vicinity. The menu differs between inside and outside. There's limited variety and lesser sitting area on the outside. Though service is great regardless of the location. If you're coming here for the first time, try south Indian cuisine. It's very delicious plus fresh and reasonably cost. I found the quantity very fulfilling. Plus full marks on the taste. In Mumbai I'm still unsure of getting great north Indian food. The hunt is still on! But meanwhile, this place serves great food and is totally recommended.

One of the most classy restaurant cluster in south of the town near Nariman Point and Mantralaya. The food is really great. Must try Gujarati Thali. The outside seating option is also good for quick meals and fast food. Must try reshmi paratha and korma from outside canteen. Great service. Spesso is also good for foreign food like status is mostly for Indian food.

One of moms favourite restaurant. Ordered a combo of Veg Korma & Reshmi parathas. Korma was oily & Reshmi parathas rubbery & had to return it. They just have to be extra careful with takeaways & deliveries.

When we called them and asked them if a particular dish is available they said yes in call but once we went there for takeaway they offered us a completely different menu. We had to walk away disappointed. Please be transparent to your customers if they ask for a specific thing and you don't have it.
