It’s an amazing place for all the breakfast lovers. I love their filter coffee. The service is very quick. Their pineapple sheera is to die for. From dosa’s to upma’s all their dishes are worth trying if you love South Indian food. Perfect place to chill with your friends and family.

If you are looking for good south indian dishes you will love it here... A very good and decent ambience with very fast service and good food... A very comfortable space to with kids along... They also serve some of the non-south indian dishes such as sandwiches which are very tasty and yummy... Located just near matunga circle... must try this place out... You will love it here...Khotto Idli and sandwich is a must try here... Lovely place ♥️

Great South Indian restaurant in Matunga, Mumbai. It is actually the oldest South Indian restaurant in Mumbai and the quality is a testimony of that The food is exceptional over here. All dosa types were amazing and so was the Gadbad Idli. Their ‘Thali’ was stomach filling and tasty. Peri Peri Fried Idli was a hit! The desserts are quite amazing- especially the Pineapple Sheera Prices are very reasonable too! Snacks are also available in the store Go to this place for the best South Indian food in Mumbai!

good place for dosa, but don't go for idlee podi, filter coffee or i would say kapi is decent. Uttappa is ok ok Mysore dosa is good. Sambhar is ok ok coconut chutney is not so good. Opposite to famous cafe Madras if you don't get place at cafe Madras then come here at cafe Mysore, taste is different but more or less it's the way it is, or you can go to anand bhavan which is next to this place. Overall decent experience here but not so good. It's like trial and error.

Very authentic southern Indian restaurant! I’ve been there for the first time but it’s one of the fav restaurants of my Indian friends. Highly recommended. Coffe is also great. Extremely fair pricing and a typical Indian flair. A must see for foreigners! I’ve you want to brunch there make sure to come before 1pm- otherwise it will be very crowded. We came at 12:30 which was perfect- we easily got a seat. You can’t make any reservation!

It’s one of the finest south Indian restaurant in mumbai. Really good food and good taste. It’s so old and the authenticity is still maintained. Really nice vibe. It’s crowded so you need to wait for a while. We tried dosa, uttapam, neer dosa, veg thali all were really good. The sweet was delicious too. Do visit and enjoy the food.

The classic South Indian old restaurant of king circle matunga. One of the ram Nayak og. More famous because of Mukesh Ambani favourite hangout during his engineering days. Cofffe and jackfruit idli is must. Affordable. Mainly is the authentic chutney. I feel Rama Shray, cafe madras and cafe Mysore are the kingpins of South Indian authentic food in Mumbai. Always eat in these three places.

Excellent authentic south indian food joint. Best time to visit is early morning to avoid rush this place is such a popular people keep on coming one after other the place divided in two upper floor n lower be sited upper flower so u can have peaceful meal or food which ever you order staff is polite efficient keep place neat n clean also they are good to recommended dishes to visitors. Throughly enjoyed eating. As they are one of the pioneers of southern food in Mumbai. How much write is less for them. Have any meal with filter cafe is like heaven.Best part is time changes but this place stick to basic so they are successful. Good luck !!!😍

This place might have been good back in the days but right now, it has lost its taste and the service is bad. You’ll have the worst of your time just to tell the waiters what to get you. I did not even get the spoon for which i had to call them so many times. Taste sucks bad. The basic chutney tastes as if it’s gone bad. And we had to ask them multiple times for everything, even for water they took so much time. 1/10

Cafe Mysore is a small cafe located near king circle, it's one of the oldest cafes. Sitting is available here with around 8 to 10 tables. Ambience is not attractive, but decent. Food here tastes so delicious. Even though after so many years food quality is top notch. South Indian cuisine is a must try here. Serving time is very low & rates are affordable.

Since cafe Madras is always crowded,we tried another South Indian cafe in the vicinity. The taste is upto the mark but the seating is very uncomfortable and dingy. It might be better for take away.

This has been my favourite restaurant especially for breakfast. Well South Indian food like idli and dosa is an all day food. You can have it anytime of the day. The dishes I recommend to have here is their Mysore Dosa and toast tomato omllette which is a sandwich filled with tomato omllette and salad. They also do have some of their speciality dishes which you can also try.

Currently the restuarant is shut and has not been opened since the start of the pandemic last March. However their namkeens shop selling items over the counter is still operational and can be accessed from a different entrance somewhere behind the main entrance.

No fuss eatery serving the best of South Indian breakfast items! Idli, dosa, rasam wada - just go with any of these and you won't be disappointed! Among the many stars of Matungas culinary galaxy, Cafe Mysore has its own charm. Do visit for a quick bite!

One of the finest restaurants to have some decent south Indian food. We have ordered Mysore masala dosa, khotto idli and filter coffee. Mysore masala was very amazing in taste and khotto idli was good too which I tried it for the very first time which is idli cooked in a jackfruit leaf. The sambar was very okay okay in taste. Last but not the least never forget to have their filter coffee, it was too amazing and strong as required.

It is one of the oldest cafes in Matunga, near by king circle, Matunga. Walkable distance from Matunga railway station. Their pineapple sheera is scrumptious and totally mouth watering. Fried idly was too crunchy also, mysore dosa is normal one. They have special snacks available in their cafe like Banana chips and other items as well. Only demerits was they charge extra Rs-10 for cold drinks stating refrigeration charge. Overall, pineapple sheera was best to have.

  • 5/5 Ashish S. 1 year ago on Google
Best place to have Khotto Idli. In fact one of the only places in mumbai to have superb Khotto Idli. Been a fan of this restaurant since 30 years. Love the French fries which are freshly made.

  • 1/5 Kavita K. 9 months ago on Google
The cafe is just running on its old fame but there is absolutely nothing fascinating about the place or food. We had orderedkhotto idli i.e. idli in jackfruit leaves which made absolutely no sense as it wasn't fragnant at all. Onion Uthappa was such a huge disappointment & Poori bhaji was another disgrace. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. There are stalls that serve so much better food at low price

One of the best South Indian food joints I have ever been. I live in Hyderabad but whenever I go to Mumbai, I try having lip smacking food at this place. Food is mildly spicy and its excellent for those who like moderate spice in their food. The seating area is congested but the food is superb. Highly recommended.

This place serves very tasty South Indian food. They have huge variety of dosas, medu Vada, uttapam, Puri bhaji etc. We have tried their Mysore masala dosa, cheese masala dosa, dilkhush dosa( their speciality), pineapple sheera. They are well known for their Dil Khush dosa, pineapple sheera and coffee. This place is a bit crowded during breakfast hours and we generally have to share tables. Overall a very good and satisfying experience. Must definitely try.

One of my favourite South Indian restaurant in Matunga. The prices of this place are on a slightly higher side compared to nearby outlets. My favourite dishes here are Vada sambar, bisibale rice and Dilkhush dosa. The entrance is not accessible ♿❌ And no washroom inside 🚻❌ They have an AC dining area. They also sell delicious wafers and other dry snacks items.

Visited many times, latest Feb 2020. Having spent my childhood in this locality, I've been coming here for like, decades. The food has almost always been good. This place along with the nearby Anand Bhavan are the best 'Udupi' restaurants in the Kings Circle area, IMO. Lately though my visits are getting more and more infrequent - Rava Masala for Rs 120 ? Sorry, I'll pass. I wanted to rate it four stars but the sambar this time was tooooooo pungent. Attaching pics of Idli-Vada Sambar and Rava Masala Dosa.

Best mysore sada dosa with epic sambar like no other. Come here only for this and filter kaapi. 'Almost' authentic south Indian stuff. Khoto Idli and Pineapple Sheera are nice too. Its here since decades. Apparantly it's Mukesh Ambani's favourite restaurant, assuming the cook must be going to his place :P Visiting here since atleast 25 years, hope it re-opens soon since covid lockdown is long over. This restaurant neither gives take away nor is available on zomato, swiggy. So only option is dine-in and it hasn't started yet when almost everyone else have re-opened.
