😐 I went with a friend to try their Parsi special New Year menu, which was a tad overpriced. Service was painfully slow, despite the restaurant not being overly crowded. The food, when it finally arrived, was decent. With green Race Course views, the location is peaceful and the restaurant acoustics... Amazing location that looks out on the Mahalaxmi race course. One of the few restaurants with an old world charm where water is served without you having to ask for it and you are waited on by courteous waiters. Fantastic food to top this, I’d have given more stars had that been an option.

Reservation is needed. The photos do not do the delicious dinner we had here justice! Everything was great, and they have a good wine selection if you want to pair a drink with the food. The service is excellent, and the overall vibe is fantastic! The outdoor decor is lovely, and we shot some lovely photos here.

Great place to come for a nice sit down meal. The ambiance is great whether you come for lunch or dinner. And the view outside or the racecourse is so beautiful. It's an upmarket restaurant so the prices are on the higher side.

The place is all you can ask for in terms of ambience and aesthetic slow fine dine experience. Especially in the rains. It overlooks the Mahalaxmi race course giving you a lush view from the outdoor picana sitting. Food is slightly average for the place, enjoyable nonetheless. Family or friends or dates.. this place is a great fit for the lot with a multi using Menu, vast bar selections and ambience.

Gallops has been one of our family’s favourite restaurants since decades! We recently experienced their monsoon cabanas and had the most extraordinary experience. The cabanas are functional every year in the rainy season. This is a unique dining experience unlike any other in the city. Beautifully decorated with fairy lights, flowers and an elegant table set up the cabanas at gallops offer a spectacular ambiance amidst the starry nigh. The service here was exceptional. The staff is so warm and friendly and you get a butler too. Coming to the food, we ordered our old classics and some new additions too. For starters I’d recommend : Malai Broccoli, Palak Patta Chaat, Naram Dil Kebab and stuffed potato skins. For mains we ordered some melt in your mouth veg Kofta curry, stuffed Aloo dum in a silky red gravy, veggie bean enchiladas and some rotis. We paired our food with their well balanced cocktails. The pink gin was my favourite! Don’t miss trying their hazelnut praline or rasmalai for desserts. It’s one of the most beautiful and exceptional dining experiences in Mumbai. Follow @thecrazyindianfoodie on Instagram and Facebook for the detailed video on this.

What a beautiful ambience! This restaurant is situated in the premises of the Mahalakshmi Race Course. It provides for a lovely view while you're dining, and if you're lucky you might also get a chance to see the horses in action. The food is delicious and the portion size if good. We had the French onion soup and the truffled mushroom soup which were really good and the kebabs were amazing. We had a great time and would love to visit again soon.

Gallops is an institution of fine food since many years. With its picturesque landscape, it has been in Instagrammable restaurant since before Instagram ! and it is a well sought after wedding destination or atleast a sangeet function location. There are beautiful chandeliers hanging on the trees outside and the internal colonial look just transposes you to an era bygone. Food is decent . They are known for the "Melba" toast for breakfast- lunch- or dinner and the dahi kabab is also very famous. The lehsooni palak was delicious too. Service is excellent. Location : it is well situated within the race course of Mumbai r w i t c. Overall : must visit in the winter months of Mumbai (from October to February) and sit outside for a lovely meal and sunset.

Birthdays are beautiful days to spend at a lively location. This occasion is worthy of celebration in a grand way. Gallops Restaurant Inside Mahalaxmi Race Course is One of the favourite place of Parsis of Mumbai. Gallops Restaurant is one of the most popular restaurant for more than 3 decades. Gallops Restaurant indoor seating area has 136 covers. The lawn area - Gallops Al Fresco is an open air comfortable seating with Air- coolers. Huge Parking area is available. Cold coffee with icecream Mutton Dori kebabs - the Purani Dilli speciality starter dish. Moist tender mutton kebabs, well marinated and tied with thin threads, just melts in mouth. Gosht Yakhni pulav - Traditional celebration dish with mutton and basmati rice. The sweet aroma of aromatic spices in the rice and tender mutton pieces are heavenly. Served in beautiful clay pot. Everything here is just so perfect.

One of the most iconic places in Mahalaxmi Race Course which has old heritage vibes. This place serves fine indian and continental cuisine with best view of race course for the last 35 years. They also service good cocktails to have with brunches.

Mahalaxmi Race course one of the prime location which is still having the vintage look of mumbai. Gallop is situated inside the racecourse. Ideal place to get in is through gate no 2 or 3. Perfect place for a date night with your loved ones Parking - huge open space for parking Booking- you need to book the place else there is a no no as this is full Ambiance- having preserved the historical charm with a view of the racecourse and horses 🐎 around. I didn’t see the horse as we visited at night Covid precautions- they have enough safety measure and protocols 🍱 Food- It has a variety of Indian, continental and vegan food with Mocktail and 🍹 Drinks. We order Dahi and Khoye ke kebab with Fondue and Paneer Tikka masala with Chur chur πŸ«“ Nan and Bleed blue to drink. Flavours and Aroma were perfect with right portion and authentic in taste. Though I felt the cost is little overpriced. Service is a little slow. Staffs are well trained. One time visit for the view and ambience

An exquisite restaurant that caters to the niche that enjoys Indian cuisine. It has probably one of the best ambience that a restaurant could have. However the air-conditioning could have been better as we were sweating for a while. The service was a tad slow and could be improved. The quality of food was excellent. We ordered the sheek kabab, lasooni prawns and the nali nihari and they were all excellent. However the portions of butter naan were a bit small. Overall if you like a good ambience and quality of food and do not mind the slight premium over other similar restaurant then this is the place for you.

Visited Gallops on 13 May 22 to attend a reception. First and the most important one is that there is plenty of parking available. Reception was organised in a lawn, there was an adjacent hall with DJ and a small back lawn for dinner. Food was exceptionally good. Starters like Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Spring rolls, cheese corn patties were absolutely delicious. Mutton Nihari, Grilled Fish and Chicken Salli in main course were the best, I have ever eaten. Mutton Nihari was melt in the mouth. In desserts, a unique item was presented, it was litchi jalebi. Seedless litchi were dipped in jalebi batter and fried. An absolute winner. Other items in desserts were Pinacolada Souffle, Brandy Snaps and ice cream. Vegetarian section was equally good, special mention for Kurkure Bhindi is required, crisp and tasty.

Birthdays are beautiful days πŸŽ‚ Celebration days πŸ₯‚ This occasion is worthy of celebration in a grand way. Life is becoming sweeter and happier after many twists and turns. I celebrate happiness and peace everyday now. I count my happiness quotients on my birthdays. Some people are like gifts, who make sure to make life easy and peaceful. The celebration never ends πŸ₯‚ We have planned in advance and celebrated our birthdays in the same place this year At Gallops Restaurant Inside Mahalaxmi Race Course. One of the favourite place of Parsis of Mumbai. Our birthdays fall in April & July. Ordered and loved the same dishes. Gallops Restaurant is one of the most popular restaurant for more than 3 decades. It is always my favourite place since it has opened in 1986. Gallops Restaurant indoor seating area has 136 covers. The lawn area - Gallops Al Fresco is an open air comfortable seating with Air- coolers. Parking area available. Jalebi cheese cake - our Birthday dessert cakes, super yummy. The best memories are the ones to make together. Good times and good friends πŸ₯‚ The best part of the memories are in making them. Special thanks to Senior Manager Mr Gangadharan and Ms Zoya for cordial behaviour and support.

Right at the Mahalaxmi racecourse, providing you with some beautiful views. The restaurant is decorated with greenery and has a nice outdoor seating where you can watch the racecourse very comfortably. I came here on Christmas and tried a few things from their festive menu: 1. Festive fondue: this was very underwhelming. The fondue was very bΓ©chamel-sauce-like and lumpy. Although it tasted decent, that texture didn’t work. It came served with some steamed broccoli, potatoes and croutons. They could have given more of those considering the portion of the fondue. We asked for extra croutons, which weren’t as crunchy as what was served to us the first time… 2. Spiced hot chocolate: I asked for less sweet, and they did a great job accommodating that for me. A bit tooo strong though - a better balance could’ve been achieved. 3. 3 mushroom risotto - this was quite good - would highly recommend.

Visited this restaurant which is located inside the premises of Mahalaxmi race course. The ambience is beautiful and classic, the staff are polite and eager to serve. They have a decent fare of Continental and Indian varieties. We tried the Lamb steak and the Ham steak, I preferred the Pepper Lamb steak over the Ham. Both dishes were prepared paying attention to detail and that came through in the taste. The place is a little expensive as far as the food goes and a pint of beer costs any where between 350 to 500 rupees.

It has to be one of the best places to have a relaxed dining experience in Mumbai. Nestled within the Mahalaxmi race course it has a great vibe and overlooks the race course. The food is exemplary and the vibe is relaxed letting you focus on the dining experience. The staff is polite and that makes the place even more welcoming. We went there on christmas eve and the place was done up with the theme. The food quality leaves you with a desire to have more but the menu spread will make sure you visit the place multiple times to enjoy the range. If you are on that side of town then don't miss it. If you are on the other side ( like we are) make a plan and go.....it's worth the travel hassle.

Went with family for lunch on a Saturday, the ambience is lovely along with covid protocols. We ordered from their wide variety of menu for both drinks and food. The quantity is amazing, good portions for all the dishes. We ordered the following dishes - Starters: Doori kebab - chicken keema kebab tied with a string, very well done and delicious. A must try a long with the sauce, delicious green pesto sauce. Mains: Mutton ghost dum biryani - aromatic rice cooked with tender lamb over slow fire along with spices. Very yummy filled with flavour. Desserts: Caramel Custard - ate a perfect caramel custard after a long time, it was the right amount of sweet. Tiramisu - heavenly tiramisu with coffee.. Best way to end one's meal. Loved every bite of it. Had a few cocktails as well and was disappointed as I had expected this restaurant to serve its cocktails at top notch. Blue lagoon - it was ok, like any another restaurant. The Passion ate gin - tried for the first time and it was good, lemon was slightly over powering. Whiskey sour - the worst whiskey sour I have ever tasted, all I could taste was the lemon in the drink, no bourbon taste at all. Even the bar tender told me he didnt add bourbon but some other whiskey, no egg white either. Only because of the sub-par drinks, especially whiskey sour I have rated this place a 4 if not I would have given it a 5 star. Please work on your classic cocktail and the rest is good.

Located at the Mumbai race course, Gallops is a beautiful little space with ample greenery around and a cozy old school vibe. We’ve tried their Navroze special lunch menu and it was delicious! But their regular food menu has equally good dishes and a variety of Indian and continental options. The Baked Alaska dessert is one of their best desserts! The service was prompt and courteous. If you want to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening away from the city noise, this is a great place to visit.

I went to gallops to celebrate my birthday. I was surprised at the poor quality of the food. I ordered fondue the potatoes were rotten. Mushrooms were spoilt we had to return the dish we ordered. I requested the staff to put my cake in refrigerator it was dumped inside the kitchen the cake had fully melted. My parents and my entire family got food poisoning after eating there. My entire birthday was ruined. A very disappointing dinning experience.

STUNNING AMBIENCE - 2 words which perfectly sum up the venue. We wet here for a wedding but have been here before as well. Best atmosphere with good view in the evening.. food is very good...at reasonable rates.. but service is so so slow... One of those place with which you can't go wrong. Traditional, classic. Food you can depend on. The ambience has been maintained over the years. Old world charm. No music, but the neighbouring table made up for it. A little confusing about eggless desserts, but sorted out by the chef.

If you are not local to the region, take the car inside from gate #2 and then ask the security where the restaurant is. Else will waste a good amount of time finding the restaurant. The staff is very friendly Especially the manager has a good sense of humour. Outside dining is for larger groups only.. We ordered Baby Potatoes and Mushroom Chilli. AMAZING 😍 the spice was juts phenomenal. 100% try this. For the main course we ordered Fetuchini Gervsese. It was good but not phenomenal. And we certainly eneded it all with Tiramisu.

The restaurant, located inside the Mahalaxmi race course, gives an amazing view of the entire place. While you can enjoy the mouth watering food inside, you can enjoy the lush green view of the race course. I would recommend it for a lunch outing, rather than dinner, since the view is breathtaking in the day. Gorge on their kebabs or continental surprises, as all come as perfect for the taste buds. It's ideal for a romantic date in the heart of the city.

Classy Ambience, The Race Course Turf, The Mumbai skyline and the colonial cottage of a Restaurant. Amazing Combination. The service is a tad slow , to give patrons time to savour each other's company. Cream de la Creme Gentry. Mushroom Soup is something I can go once more for. Food is good.. avoid the Paneer masala.. too tomatoish..

It is an open set up and a place for limited guests only. It is useful for a guest of 50 and not 100 and a cramped space. Inside the hall the ambience is lit and damn cold. Outside is good during winters as it is pleasant and breezy. The staff is polite, proactive and good to talk. Food is superb. The lychee jalebi was something unique. Overall a nice place for a celebration for limited guests.
