Average Food | Good Ambience | Worth a VISIT Punjab Grill has 7 outlets across Mumbai. The one we went was present inside Phoenix Palladium Mall which is the biggest mall in Mumbai. So, its obviously worth a visit, not only for the dining experience but also for the shopping experience. Now coming to the Punjab Grill Restaurant experience. I've booked the table for 7 using Dineout (All thanks to Dineout Passport ☺). One can simply WALK-IN and book their tables. We've ordered the following: For Non-Vegetarians- Tandoor Roti, Multigrain Roti, Garlic Naan, Chicken Dum Biryani, Dhaniya Mirchi ka Kukkad. For Vegetarians- Tandoor Roti, Paneer Tikka Multani, Butter Paneer Punjab Grill 1965, toddy, and few other mocktail drinks... The starters and Roti/Naan items were good. The Dum Biryani was well cooked but my taste palates are a bit biased towards biryani from Andhra Pradesh/Telangana ☺. The main course curries including Dhaniya Mirchi ka Kukkad and Butter Paneer Punjab Grill 1965 were NOT as spiced as expected. The Paneer one has more tomatoes in them giving it a tangy, sweet and sour flavour. If you like spicy foods then let them know this beforehand. I usually never eat the gravy/sauce of the curry in any restaurant but here I ate because I liked the way they have used minimum spices in their preparation. Apart from the food and drinks, the ambience and the staff behaviour was outstanding. Actually we went there to celebrate one of our friend's birthday and the staff arranged the cake turn table and the in house DJ played a couple of Happy Birthday Songs (NOT the regular one ☺☺). As mentioned before, I've used Dineout for reservation and the payment was done through the same. Using Dineout Passport we could bring down the equation from 2200 for 2 to 1500 for 2. Thanks for reading this far. Bon Appétit So in short it was a complete package for us. This is NOT a paid/promotional review. PC: Shreeya

Simply over priced for below average food and 0 service. Me and my friends had the very unfortunate experience of dining in this restaurant that ruined our entire evening. 1. We ordered a galouti kebab which tasted like solidified batter. 2. The bhuna ghost was simply tasteless in onion tomato gravy. 3. The chicken biriyani had no flavour. The rice was dry and it felt like they just mixed some chicken tikka with biriyani rice (and named it dum biriyani) 4. The service was literally non existant. We had to wait for 10 minutes before some one removed the empty starter plate from the table. 5. The cutlery used for starters were not even removed and left there for the next course (cost control for this price ?) 6. No one cared even to refill the empty water glasses. 7. No one even showed up for a quality check. And all this happened in a 30% occupied restaurant with servers simply standing around. I wouldn't complain about a normal restaurant for this kind of service, but for a the amount of money they charge this is simply unacceptable. Without any doubt it was INR 4k + well wasted. Never going back there again. Local bars in the vicinity will give you better food and service for sure...

I would highly recommend Punjab grill at palladium Phoenix to all those who love to enjoy hearty & authentic meals. I visited PG for dinner mid of Nov 22 for dinner & we absolutely loved the starters, main course & even the dessert. That time we had the Dahi kebab which were really amazing, melt in mouth & delicious. Slight flavour of elaichi & hari mirch with a crisp golden coating. Next was the nadru ke galouti, superbly wow. Couldn't imagine the lotus stem in this form. As the name says galouti, it was extremely soft in texture & a beautiful balance of flavors. We also had the dhaga burn mutton seekh kebab. Omg this is a must have here. Soft mutton mince ( non smelly), very good seasoning, perfect balance of garam masala, & finely chopped pieces of bell peppers gave it a nice crunch in between. For the mains we had malai kofta which was rich & creamy. Portion size is more than enough for 4 adults. Rotis & nans were stupendous. Again a huge portion. One nan / roti is enuf for two. The kulfi falooda was decent. Special thanks to manager Gajanan who was courteous & gave us fabulous suggestions with regards to what had to be ordered & also informed us about the portion size . The second visit was yesterday, That is the first week of Jan. The food and service was equally good yesterday . We again had the mutton kheema dhaga burn kebab, the dahi kebab & nadru galouti. Again this time it was stellar. My favorite starters at PG. What we had this time were the chicken tangdi kebabs which were brilliant. Flavourful marination on the tender chicken & chargrilled to super perfection. We also had the aloo pyaaz kulcha which was fantabulous. Pls do not miss this. It is served with small portions of rich dal makhani, white butter , sweet & tangy tomato chutney. Yumm. We also had the butter chicken which was decent as well. Personally for my choice & taste it could have been better. Rotis & laccha paratha was wow. Service is excellent. The servers are knowledgeable & courteous. Appreciate the personal attention of the manager, Mr Nitin M who was supervising whether the lunch was going well . He also gave us the paan shots in the end. It was good to chit chat with him & have a deeper understanding about the kind of preparations at PG. Will surely be a regular patron here. Thanks.

Food was good but too expensive. Stuffed cream kulcha was nice. Butter gralic prawns wasn’t that great. Chicken lababdaar was good in taste as well as quantity. Ambience was nice.

Hello We when for the second time. I generally won’t write a review but this time the thing happened which make me to write a review on it.Punjab grill is a famous restaurant brand so We visit on 16 november 2023 with my family for lunch. We order 2 type of kebab and biryani we specifically mentioned the biryani should be less spicy after that they gave us very spicy biryani still it was ok. The taste was not so good. After that me and my husband go sick with stomach ache and vomitting. I don’t want to blame anyone but they should improve there food quality. After taking very high charger they should at least give fresh food. Thank you Very unhappy guest 😕

Went to this on my mom's Birthday and was expecting a exquisite experience for fine dining and boy was I dissapointed from the moment I entered. The Ac was apparently not working properly. They blamed it to the mall ac as it's centrally cooled. Point noted. The server had a bit of attitude to start with once we asked him to serve dal khichdi to me made for a small 1.5 year old child. He said I will charge you for the whole khichdi..for the first time I am seeing a hotel charging 600-650 odd bucks to serve dal khichdi for a small child !!! Considering we had bill of 5100 rs really considered this to be a cheap on the part of this chain of restaurant.. Coming to the food. The panner started we ordered was excellent and filling. The panner was succulent and soft very filling. Ordered raan- e sikandari which was a dish costing 1500 inr...the mutton was undercooked , not well marinated and looked as though bought out in a hurry...heavily dissapointed. For main course orders a kulcha , butter chicken and some rumali roti...just the regular food taste , nothing wow. We had to tell them to give us spoons , forks and also the napkins. Water refiiling also had to be instructed. There was no one to serve us food for a refill or for another serving . We did that ourselves. Called for a finger bowl and the water in the finger bowl was cold ...gave my feedback to the waiter but he didn't bother to get a hot water one. The restaurant has won many awards in the past but that is now a thing of the past ... Please do not waste your hard earned money in going here...lots of much better places to have food in palladium mall... Ambience 2.5/ 5 Food - 2/5 Service - 0/5 VFM- 2/5 Overall- 2/5..

I went to this place with a lot of expectations of having good authentic North Indian Food but it wasn't that good, also the price range was too high for this taste.

It's a big NO if want feel good hospitality, they waiters won't attend you on time and behave rude and judgmental. Had to wait half hour for a paper napkin and a glass of water. They charge service charge which I usually pay but in thier case I really didn't like the service and didn't find it worth to pay it. Coming to food it's also average and doesn't hold upto the mark for such a brand. Very few options for each category and it's highly overpriced for what they provide. All I want to say to the management is they really need to work on thier waiters and food quality. Almost the ambience is good but the service made the allover experience bad. I regret visiting Punjab Grill and will suggest everyone reading to find better alternative nearby. What we tried - Veg biryani ( Avoid) - Panner Curry ( Okay Okay ) - Cheese naam ( Which they mentioned as masala papad in bill again didn't accepted it from them) - Strawberry soda ( Should try) - Kesari Lassi ( Good)

Food is great there.... a little expensive but worth it with the quality... They also offered free paan shots and thus hospitality is great.. No delay in orders and the ambience is also welcoming... You can enjoy it there with your friends and family...

My experience at the Punjab Grill, Lower Parel Phoenix Mall was not up to the mark. I would rate it 2.5 stars maximum. Firstly the waiting time was very high even when there were empty tables inside, no one cleaned those table so that we could go and have lunch. Waited for 20 mins just for the to clean the tables. Food taste was not good- Biryani was overcooked, rajma were over boiled only sweets were good, but service was very slow. It took almost 30-40 minutes for food to arrive. The bill included mandatory Service Charge of 10%, which you will have to ask them to reduce from your official bill and even GST is charged over and above all the bill including on the Service Charge. Food is not cheap here, it is costly. If you are trying to apply any coupon (Dineout or Zomato Pro), then they won't even remove the service charge and make it Mandatory as it is mentioned in their terms and conditions. Not a good experience here. Can definitely improve on the service, food and customer experience.
