🔶GUGHAN🔶 Searching for a great South Indian Restaurant in the Town? Then Gughan is the place that you should visit.Gughan is a South Indian Style Restaurant which serves some Finger Licking South-Indian Style delicacies. The outlet is located just beside Marine Lines Station. And it is just 5 mins walking from the station. The outlet is pretty much visible from a distance because of its Shinny name and a Unique South-Indian Style oor way.I would suggest to take the help of the Google Maps if you are not able to find the Restaurant in the First place.Google Maps will guide you at the exact location. 🔸Talking About the Outlet ➡️ Gughan is an Authentic,Ethenic South Indian Style Restaurant which is based in Marine Lines,Mumbai. The place has really Good Vibes and the interiors also take you to a tour of South-India.Gughan is one of its kind Restaurant and you won't find others outlets like Gughan. They have all kind of South-Indian Delicacies. Few of the main Ingredients that are used in almost all the South-Indian Food are brought from Tamil Nadu according to the staff working at the outlet. And the restaurant uses pure food ingredients and they never use chemical ingredients or food colouring in there Food.I really loved the authenticity of the outlet which made me fall in love with there food. The outlet has a Wooden Doorway to enter the restaurant which has engraving which give you a feel of visiting South-India.Interior of the outlet is also well designed for the customer to feel that they are sitting in a restaurant which is in Southern-India.The Food is of the purest form and has authentic South-Indian Taste. The also have Meals available in which you can have unlimited food.It includes Parotha,Rice,Rasam,Payasum etc which is served ti the customer on authentic Banana Leaf. The outlet is usually packed, but you can book the table in advance before visiting the outlet. The staff working at the outlet is professional in there work and suggest you the best dish available as per your taste.Thali,Rasam,Payasum,Idli, Pineapple Shera, Filtered Coffee are some of the commonly ordered dishes by the customers. 🔸 Speaker About the Food ➡️ ◾1)Rasam Vada-I had never tried rasam vada before, but i liked it.The rasam was a bit sour and spicy at the same time. But it was a great combo with soft vada.Rasam Vada was greatin taste and it was an explosion of flavours. ◾2)Ghee Milagapodi Onion Dosa-Dosa are one of my go to dish when it comes to south-indian food. This dosa specially was awesome in taste. It had alot of ghee along with onions and some masla. ◾3)Onion Tomato Oothapam-Made with a mixture of lentils and rice.It had chopped tomatoes and onions on top which was served along with Rasam and coconut chutney. ◾4)Ghee Milagapodi Idli-Idli are usually served with chutney and sambar. But this idli was different because it was fried in Ghee,Curry leaves and had alot of masala on it.The taste was a bit spicy and had rasam along with coconut chutney to subtle the taste. ◾5)Sweet Lassi-I ordered the lassi just to cool the things down.It was as usual sweet and thick in taste. But lassi was too heavy to digest. ◾6)Tamil Nadu Degree Filter Kaafi-This beverage was mandatory to order.Tamil Nadu's famous Filter Coffee. The coffee was also a bit bitter because it didn't had sugar in it,but they give you extra sugar if you need it. Overall Conclusion,Gughan is a Great and Authentic South-Indian Restaurant to have a Lunch or Dinner with your Family. ⚠️RATINGS⚠️ FOOD-4/5 AMBIENCE-4/5 CLEANLINESS-4/5 SERVICE-3/5 PRICE-4/5

Gughan Supreme South just keeps ig with its simplicity. Where you get a good comprehensive food from Tamil Nandu- Madurai Style Food! Can say one of Comfort food with a balance of spice, ghee and everything that can make it great. This place has a high potential to be one of those unique restaurants that helps us to give the authentic food from other state with that finesse presentation of serving on Banana Leaf. Highlight: Coconut Chutney- That's freshly grinded comes with every dish. You go crazy about this one.. Sambar: That's so sober in taste, just like homemade comfort food. The Supreme Thali is exceptionally well versatile in terms of the spread that you get to eat in just 350/- To experience it well they serve you Parotha, Appum dosai and Rice. Other than that: Crispy Masala Dosai Pongal Veg Korma with Parotha Mangalpodi Idlis Pineapple Sheera Were absolute mesmerizing & Mouth Melting. The prices of the menu appeared perfect for the quality, Hygiene & quantity of the Food! What a beautiful place to experience everything under one roof. Worth visiting! I recommend this place!!

So today we bring you a sweet little place that serves amazing south indian food. We visited gughan near Marine lines and we absolutely loved it. We started with a really good, tasty and tangy thakali milagu rasam - it's a tomato soup but with authentic tamil spices especially pepper that cleanses your palate and makes you ready for the meal. In starter we had savoury panyaram or as they called it KARRA which it's small balls of deliciousness and gives a great start to your dinner. In main course we had medu vada, tomato onion uttapam, onion and gunpowder dosa and ghee milapapodi idli and every single dish was absolutely to the point. Made in ghee and with spices specially from andra and tamil nadu gave every dish a perfect south indian feel. The best part is most of it was no fry no cheese and yet super delicious. We ended fabulous meal with pinapple sheera and payasam which is south indian style kheer. And all of it was delicious with no artificial flavourings. And of course south indian meal has to end with a good strong filter coffee It's a great place to have a light and quiet dinner or breakfast. Everything from the staff to the ambience gives you peaceful and happy vibes.

Loved the ambience here. Feels typical South Indian vibes because of wall artefacts n kollams The staff is rude n has laid back attitude The food portions r huge n so is their thali We started with Milagi Idli podi The Idli was soft and the podi tasted good. It was drizzled with good amount of aromatic ghee. Then, we ordered paniyaram The savoury ones were good but sweet ones were out of shape n uncooked from centre The Rassam Vada waS good So was the filter coffee n almond milk The thali was huge one Then we ordered kesari. It was very soft n again made with aromatic ghee. Loved it. To sum up, the experience was spoilt bcoz of uncooked sweet paniyaram n attitude of the staff. Rest, if I ignore these things, loved this place.

This place is one of the best place which serves authentic South Indian food. The taste of food is no doubt exceptionally good and overall i enjoyed eating the food. The place is at walkable distance from Marine Drive station. The place as nice typical village home setup. We had Ghee Milagapodi Idli First of all the idlis are so soft,i never had a idli this good and Milagapodi spices make this dish an absolute amazing flavour experience. Chilli Garlic Cheese Dosa: The dosa was also amazing. Crispy on edges and soft in the middle with lits of cheese. It was tasty. Supreme South Indian Thali: This thali was so BIG. The variety was amazing. This is a must try. Also this thali cannot be shared, it is to be eaten by one person only. In the end ewe had some Filter Kaapi. The authentic Filter Kaapi was one of the best coffee i ever had. I very much loved this place and shall visit here again.

Gughan ! Experience the real taste of South 😬 Their food is made with all natural ingredients which are sourced from Tamil Nadu giving the most authentic taste of South :) Their menu is giving you variety of dishes from South with all their special chutney and masala :) Being a South mumbaikar I wasn’t aware of this place , I’m glad I visited here and experienced their spectacular range of menu. It’s a family dine in restaurant giving you a very fine ambience to enjoy your meal. Dev had been extremely sweet and friendly, he actually gave us few more things to try on his own will. We really appreciated the staff there :D Must Try ! Their Combos and Thallis are must must try , you can experience all the famous cuisines from south under a plate. Served in Banyan Tree Leaf , typical traditional way of South making u feel you are in South Itself The Upma, Dosa, Idli, South Khichdi,Sheera with their chutneys and many sides. Included in the Combo. I had Rava Dosa , it was crispy and really delicious. Milgapodi Idli had its own unique identity, I must say you should at least try their one Milgapudi chutney Dish, it’s simply wow. The Mysore Dosa was also Ultimate! They have really cool Mint Chutney which went really well with all dishes. Towards the end the South Indian Kheer made it a heavenly end for us ;) Their menu is so vast that u feel like trying it all ! Certainly coming back again to try their whole set of Menu I missed today :D Thanks a lot Team Gughan , you guys are amazing :D

If you love South Indian food then you must visit Gughan.. this restaurant serves pure South Indian delicacies in a very presentable and hygienic way..!! The ambience is good but service a little slow..! Talking about the food, they have hundreds of Dosa options that you'll actually get confused which one to have as all sound mouthwatering!! Apart from dosas they also serve starters, lassi, coffee, biryani and more!! We had Lassi which was thick and sweet!! Also tried the medu wada which was really crispy and tasty! Talking about the Dosa.. was very excited to try out the Paper cheese Roast.. it was huge, crispy, cheesy and just made our day! Another Dosa we tried was Ghee Milagapodi Onion Dosa.. didn't know how this would be but to be honest I really liked it.. it was unique in taste and also their speciality !! Had fresh lime soda which is a must, highly refreshing..!! Tried the Kothu Paratha which is a combination of two mashed parathas with gravy.. found it okay not bad! We had the Sheera which was good... And finally the filer Kaapi which was great! Overall if you'll want to experience a South Indian Dining then this place is a must go!!

Located at the most famous location in Mumbai, this restaurant is a pretty little place with a typical South Indian vibe. Pretty by the walls, this restaurant has total South Indian flavours in everything that it offers. I had Rasam wada, which was lovely, Idli podi which had ghee in every bite, onion uttappam with all that amazing taste and ghee podi dosa which was long enough to fill your tummy with a yummy taste! Their filter coffee was the best (as always) and sooji sheera was rich in ghee. Lovely place to be, when you want to satiate your South Indian cravings.

GHUGAN is situated in——— MARINE LINES, MUMBAI. Its a South Indian Theme Restaurant which is a treat for all the south cuisine lovers! The Interiors are fabulous as they replicate authentic south feels. Starting from the entrance, the typical wooden high doors with golden knobs then the wooden brown chairs to the temple bells and wall art painted man faces, everything about the decor was mind boggling. Yes, coming to the food it was typical south Indian food with a lot of dishes on their menu. We had so many options to choose for but we went for the famous ones. We ordered: •RASAM VADAI, It was hot orange Rasam with small pocket size Medu Vada’s. The Medu Vadas soaked the rasam and really complimented each other. The Rasam was flavourful and rich in taste. •GHEE MILAGAPODI IDLI It was rice steam idli tossed in ghee and spices. It had those south ingredients which couldnt be found in Bombay at least. The Idli was soft and rich is spices. •GHEE MILAGAPODI ONION DOSAI It was Crispy Dosa which was prepared with onion and spices filling inside. I never had such an amazing dosa as it was their specialty, it kept their name with that dish. •ONION UTHAPPA Thick dosa is basically called uthappa, so this was one giant one. Onion uthappa was perfectly cooked and flavourful. It was crispy yet soft and tasted amazing with hot Sambhar. •GUGHAN SUPREME THALI It was one Bahubali thali it seemed! They served this amazing food on a banana leaf with all their love. There were so many bowls of food that i was almost full looking at them. We had Mix Veg bhaji, Garlic bhaji, Rasam, Sambhar, Chutney, Palak Dal, Dal, Raita, Curd, Buttermilk, Boiled Rice, Veg biryani, Papad, Paratha, Uthappa, Pickle. It was really tiring to eat it all but yet it was so tasty. Everything tasted so authentic. •BUTTERMILK They served it before the food came as a refresher and it was an amazing refreshment. Creamy and cool, with coriander and chillies sprinkled. •FILTER KAAPI We ordered it to try on their specially coffee which they call KAAPI. I loved it as it was strong and i could literally smell the coffee beans which is a sign of originality. •GHEE SHEERA ( SOOJI KA HALWA) Yes, it was my dessert and it was so yum. It was made in pure ghee with so much of love. It was a perfect ending to mu south food journey! Staff and service is well versed with the menu and smooth with their work. Overall Amazing place to go and hog on south Indian food. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner, it will fulfil you with the best. Thankyou so much for the best south Indian food.
