I always purchased cakes from there but this time it was new satff and service very very poor and slow service. The lady was chit-chating on the phone and all the staffs were busy in talking. I was getting late for my son's b'day party cake, and she took almost 40 minutes to just write a name. Really Pathetic service, was not even ready to give a bottle of water! Looks very cheap. Did not feel like I was in taj

Absolutely stunning chocolates! They've a large selection of little chocolate bites, which are priced a bit steeply but are worth every penny. The craftsmanship is evident. Try out the sea salt caramel praline and blue mountain coffee and cardamom praline. Croissants are delicious and must be tried when they're freshly baked Try and call up to find out the specials available before visiting

Location: ground floor, THE TAJ I enjoy this place and it never disappoints..love the cakes here ... chocolate brownie used to b a favourite. They don make em anymore it seems. The chocolate truffle and Belgian chocolate with caramelized nuts r current favourites.. they have macroons breads puffs gateux(layered cakes) n general gourmet stuff to offer.. If it's Taj u don't care about the prices, although it's not very expensive either way.. Worth trying .

Cakes are definitely amazing . Every spoon is delightful . I tried the chocolate strawberry. The chocolate and cake everything just melts . No dryness or spongy feeling . Worth the price . Heard the raisin bread is pretty but you will have a place an order in advance Bought some truffles as well. Consumed later at home .

A very good experience at La Patisserie by Taj Mahal Palace Colaba . We had the Red Velvet , the Chocolate Truffle pastry and Sugar Free Hazelnut eclair which were outstanding but the Red Velvet experience is something that would bring me back in the future. Special thanks to Sameer and Margaret for being courteous and helpful.

Macaroons a bit on the costlier side but the quality is pretty good. Cakes are amazing too.

I ordered cake yesterday night for my son’s birthday, when we went for pick up it was unprofessionally packed, since it was a 3kg cake they informed we don’t have big box. My husband denied the pick up and ask them for drop off. When the cake arrived it was damaged and tasted stale. We are very disappointed with your service.

Edit to my review: After posting this, Mr. Shekhawat from @tajmahalmumbai contacted me and sincerely apologised for the experience we had, which, he said, was not intentional. I am very happy that @tajmahalmumbai takes customer satisfaction very seriously and is cognizant of the fact that a customer was not satisfied with their service. This shows how serious they are about customer satisfaction and I am convinced that such issues would not be repeated. Thank you Mr. Shekhawat and @tajmahalmumbai. ========≈================================ Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's 17th and she had specifically requested a particular cake. Called them and changed the date of pick-up to the previous night. The change was confirmed with me by a return call from them. Despite re-confirming, I was shocked to know that there was no cake on the day I requested. There was some confusion at their end and this left me red-faced in front of my daughter and guests. Thankfully they had another cake on display and gave that to me. But I was still questioned, by the birthday girl, as to what happened to the cake she wanted! Very lax and mediocre service from the cake shop at a five-star hotel. I was very disappointed. I am sure they take customer satisfaction seriously and this will not be repeated with anyone else.

The cakes are out of the world!!! Coming from the Taj it has to be! I've had the Chocolate Truffle and Pineapple cakes on two different occasions and both were fantastic. I'm not a fan of black forest so that pastry was an ok one for me. Had baklava for the 1st time from here and its basically a sweetened form of khari with dry fruits and nuts stuffed in them. Definitely trying more of their stuff. Please start online delivery.
