Disgusting attitude of servers and service. Food was ok. They levied huge service charge on top of expensive menu and argued with us when we told to remove it!!!! Absolutely do not eat from here ever, especially if you want to have a happy occasion. We went for lunch on my birthday. The waiter was weird from the start. There were only 2 tables. one of them was us and it was a very small seating area. the waiter just wouldn't listen to the whole thing we were saying and would walk away on us when we were trying to ask him smth about the food. and he kept not coming when we called to ask again. my friend wanted to ask essentially if they were giving birthday freebie bc this is a nice restaurant and asked "it's her birthday, so would you have something small? like cake or the like" and the waiter said "we dont have cake but we have other dessert". walked away before we could ask what other dessert. we assume he's put in the order and it's probably complimentary because he didnt even say what. but he was rude so i was like ill double check. turns out the waiter didnt even tell us what he ordered, IF he even put up an order for anything, and when i aksed he said they were charging for it. This was very unexpected and felt odd but I brushed it off. My last straw was when i asked him to put the rice on my plate and the rice in the bowl into a package to go. he straight up went like "do it yourself" (aap kijiye) to put the rice in the bowl ??? and they kept waiting for our next thing as if they wanted us to leave and gave us cleaning wet napkins before we had even finished eating properly. The worst part was when the BILL arrived. i get the bill and on top of the cgst and sgst there's service charge of 85 bucks. its not a huge deal but i hated the service + ur alr making a profit on ur food bc uk fine dining small portions etc + service charge is voluntary in india bc servers salaries are added into the food bill and service gst so i dont want to pay it! politely asked them to remove the charge. he said no. i said the law says its voluntary. he said talk to the manager. manager is like "it says here on the menu we levy 7% charge" i was like ok ive been to many restaurants and you can SAY you have service charge but its not mandatory. its literally by law OPTIONAL. all restaurants ive been have without complaining removed service charge bc its mfn. its extra profit india doesnt have a tip system. obviously i eventually gave in esp because he said "theres a new law that if its printed in the menu you have to pay it in full". i gave in,but later googled and there is no new law. in fact I can sue tamak under consumer protection act. Horrible experience ruined my birthday, it felt like they were just being rude and cruel because we were teenage girls.

When you are from north and shift to bombay then all you miss is your food here in Mumbai but not anymore! So last night I tried ordering with Tamak restaurant located in Santacruz. Best part about them is they deliver all over Mumbai. What a taste! I never had such good chaat and dal makhani in Mumbai before! I ordered Veg dishes, so here are my recommendations 1. Stuffed Cheese Kulcha 2. Dal Makhani 3. Papdi chaat 4. Grilled broccoli ( love it) 5. And not to miss their banta bottles with masala They offer veg, non veg & Jain food too! Sounds like a package place indeed! You must try if you are looking for a delightful meal.

Ordered food from Zomato and one of our items was incredibly stale and giving a foul odour! Upon calling the restaurant, was greeted with an unwelcoming person whose mission was to deny all wrong doing and give no resolution for the food which ultimately resulted in no outcome! To the restaurant owners, you need to get a 101 class on customer service. We were regulars at this place via delivery but not anymore since they don’t take accountability for the quality of their food!

Authentic Punjabi cousine, very hospitable service, great table ware. Really enjoyed the chaats and chutneys. They have interesting selection of drinks. We ordered two types of chaats and jalapeno curd kebab and Pani puri as well as Delhi papdi chaat and bunta cola. The dishes were very well balanced, just the right flavour and very less oil. Perfect place to enjoy a cosy north Indian dinner.

Sublime. The food, presentation and portion sizes are a strong 10/10. Visit tamak if you want a break from the common dishes offered at the local Joe. The dishes are unique, the taste is on point and the presentation is aesthetically pleasing. The soya chap was my pick from the starters while the paneer tikka and sweet potato tikki were lip smacking. Subz basil makhani is stunning paired with wide variety of breads. The service is a bit slow which is off putting but I would revisit this place without a doubt.

Tamak is very small restaurant with nearly 6 tables but serves some delicious North Indian Food that shouldn't be missed. Coming straight to the food I tried.. We started off with two mocktails.. kalakhatta goti soda and phalsa soda. Both were a little tangy. Decent. We started off with Mushrooms truffle oil naan bombs which were delicious and flavorful. Stuffed well.. must try if you love Mushrooms. Dahi ke kebab.. a little unusual way to serving here.. creamy gooey hung curd stuffed between bread and deep fried. Crunchy gooey combination and quite delicious. Tandoori Soya chaap.. well marinated and cooked to perfection..super soft chaap. Slightly underseasoned but delicious nonetheless. Lotus chips.. decent.. could have been better. Slightly burnt. Little underseasoned. Chole and aloo stuffed Kulcha... One of the best I've had. The chole were perfectly cooked .. melt in the mouth..well balanced.. kulcha were delicious too. Favourite dish of the evening. Dal Makhani with onion naan.. yet another fantastic combination. Loved it. The onion naan was outstanding. The Dal was creamy and delicious. Gajar halwa... Freshly made.. not too sweet..just so delicious. Loved it. Jamun Kulfi with black salt.. the best Jamun Kulfi ever. Loved it. It was pure Jamun pulp. Truly delicious. Overall a delicious meal it was. Definitely visit and try them or order it home. 1teaspoonlove recommends Food-4/5 Ambiance-3.25/5 Service-4/5 Vfm-4/5 Return index-4/5

The food was simply excellent. The galouti kebabs were some of the best I've had after the Lukcnows Tunde kebabs. Smoked Laal mass had very well cooked and perfectly spiced Mutton. I'd also recommend the Jalebi Rabdi for dessert. The service was good as well.

Delicious food in a tucked away quiet spot. You wouldn't know it is there from the street! We turned up without booking and were given a lime Soda while we waited. Would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants in all the aspects.Their main motto is customer satisfaction.I could able to sense it. Procs: Quality of food and ingredients are best. They prepare after you order but doesnot take so much time for preparation. Good ambience. Excellent service. A dish is sufficient for 2 ppl. Good spread of varieties. Cons: No parking Only six tables so highly recommend to make a reservation.

Amazing Indian food. 1) Mushroom galouti 2) Paneer Ranjit masala 3) Dal makhani. All of the above were delicious! For desert we tried jamun stick, which was pure jamun pulp with black salt sprinkled on the top. We loved that too!! Also got great service from our server!

Amazing Indian restaurant. Simple menu to choose from. Very well balanced in taste and presentation. Cozy place. Chef's own place so the sincerity in foods is more. Value for money.

Tasty food. We tried Soya chaps(5/5), Kaju veg kababs(3/5), Pizza Kulcha (4/5), Paneer Labadar (5/5) and Jilebi rabadi (2.5/5). The drinks are ok. The sitting is very limited. Reservation is recommended. There are only 5 tables (if I am not wrong). We didn't reserve, but luckily got one table. The service is quite good. Nice experience overall.

Every-time we have visited here, consistently the food is superb, the staff is well behaved and the ambience feels just appropriate. Nothing could beat the Ker Saangri Sabji and multigrain Roti along with amazing desserts specially the Paan ice cream

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a North Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience that left a lasting impression. The menu boasted a wide array of traditional North Indian dishes, and I was spoiled for choice. From aromatic curries to sizzling tandoori delights, the culinary offerings were a testament to the rich and diverse heritage of North Indian cuisine.

Had gone for dine out with family the staff is too rude doesn't care and lacks even basic etiquettes, wants to just complete and force you to leave with Promoters not interested as well to come onto a call to address concerns. Pathetic, don't waste your money and waste your good day going here. Big no no.

Ordered chicken biryani with special dietary requirements. Very happy to say that the quality & quantity was excellent. Excellent service including prompt delivery. Thanks Ramakanth. Have had dinner there also a few days ago & very happy to say that it was one of the best meals I ate in the last few days of being in Mumbai. Special shout out to Krishna too.

This place has good punjabi style food. Presentation was too good staff is so polite. We ordered Biriyani it was good but found little dry. Quantity is too good.

Expensive. Cramped. And the shortened operational hours really force you to just hurry up. The food is acceptable. By Mumbai standards, it is actually good. Ordered a chicken dish (some dhaba-related name) and paneer gravy. Although the curry was good, the chicken wasn't cooked properly. No such complaints for the paneet dish. All-in-all, a three star experience.

The best Punjabi food in Town by a long shot. Try anything there! I tried a couple of things and each was better than the next. I started with a Shikanji ( sugar-free) absolutely lip smacking! Why on and ate the tandoori mushrooms and and a few kulchas. The Stuffed mushroom n cheese kulcha with a faint trace of truffles is their signature dish and totally lives up to it. For those that can't have cheese n mushrooms your can try the chola stuffed kulcha with the tamrind sauce,,super!! I didn't eat the non vegetarian fare that day but will try it n post soon. The butter chicken i am told us the Delhi style butter chicken so that will be my next try. All the spices are sourced from Delhi. This place is a totally hidden gem... The seating is limited so book ahead and go early.

This is really awesome place if you are looking for North Indian food in Mumbai. I found authentic Delhi taste here. Ambience was also quite nice. The chef himself was interacting with customers and he was also a very warm person. Will definitely go again! I had Dilli chat platter which I loved <3

Good north Indian food. Avoid the mutton dishes and biryani. Rotis are very good. Gotti soda is excellent and the deserts were outstanding. Namely Shahi Tukda, Jalebi with rabdi and baked gulab jamuns.
