Value for money place. The breakfast is decent and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Only thing is that a few rooms are too compact specially the washroom but that’s manageable. Their location is the major point of value. Walkable distance from Gateway of India & Taj. Nice places to eat around. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place for family/couples and business travelers.

The customer service was good, the staff was nice and helpful to us. However the conditions of the room was extremely disappointing. Nearly everything in the room needed replacing or repair. There is definitely mold growing on the walls and bathroom. The AC has build up of dirt and grime. I don’t believe the room has been deep cleaned since the place was first built. The sheets and towel seemed clean. Even though the location is very good, I do not recommend staying here until the hotel considers renovations. One star for the polite staff and location.

I stayed in this hotel for three days, and I must say that this is the most budget friendly and decent hotel you could find in Colaba. Some key attractions are very near by- Colaba Causeway(perfect shopping destination) - ~20 meters Gateway of India - ~300 meters Taj Hotel - ~200 meters CST and Charchgate - ~ 2 KM Also, there are plenty of pubs, which are situated near by. Notable ones are- Colaba social Kalaghoda Dive Review of some key parameters for choosing this hotel- Rooms - Good Breakfast - Good Hospitality - Great Value for Money - Excellent Location - Excellent Commute Facilities - Excellent Overall, you won't regret staying in this hotel.

Had a lovely stay with the family at Apollo Hotel 42 years ago in 1979. The staff at reception, room service and the Security Guard always standing outside between the entrance and the bar were always friendly and caring. I enjoyed my thumbs up’s at the bar every time. It’s walking distance from many interesting places as well. Just outside you’d find a huge outdoor kabab stalls which convert into lightly roasted fresh peanut butter stall but the daytime. Opposite that is Baghdadi Restaurant. Great food for great prices. May those who passed away rest in peace and may those retired grand parents live long and happy :)

The Room i was in 308 was very bad. Don't know about other Rooms. My Room was very Small , I was told I'll have a King Sized Bed but the Bed was so small my legs were 1/4 outside the Bed. Though the staff was very very Professional. Won't Recommend anyone to this Room. Sorry had to leave it now I'm in Hilton Airport International. The best room slightly high room rent but worth it.

I stayed there as a bachelor on 13 july 22, and here are my following honest observation Pros - 1. Location is superb, walking distance to gateway, Colaba causeway, cafe Mondegar and Leopold cafe and many more. 2. Value for money, cost is average 3. Good customer service 4. Neat and clean rooms 5. Decent buffet breakfast, good hospitality in their kitchen. Cons- 1. Rooms are small in size 2. Construction work was going on in 4th floor and they gave me a room on this floor and i could hear the sound all day except night. 3. Very poor room sound isolation, you can hear what people speak in the side rooms of same floor, to my bad luck there was a big arabic family staying on the same floor and they had couple of rooms booked, whole night they kept their doors open and were talking loudly, children playing and running, it went on till around 0300 am, so could not sleep, i thought to complain at reception but later thought its not hotel’s fault and nor they will ask their Arabian guest to keep quiet for me, so i let it since it was just a night for me. Apart from this hotel is a excellent place to stay if you want to explore the Colaba and this part of south mumbai.

I did not get enough time to post my stay at Suncity Appollo at Colaba, Mumbai. So I am here today the year end day 31 Dec 2022.....Very bad experience during my 7 days stay till 03 December 2022. These are my findings: 1. AC stopped working at midnight on the second day of my stay at room no.308. Then I shifted to room no.310. 2. Both the rooms have dampness on the walls 3. Stinky and old bathrooms. Cockroaches were found crawling around 4. Broken washbasins 5. Taps and flush tank leaking 6. Shower regulator is not functional as a result shower and the tap opens at the same time with less force. Kept a bucket and mug in the bath tub for taking bath in both the rooms 308 & 310. 7. Complimentary breakfast with tasteless monotonous food 8. Telephone was not working properly 9. Late night laundry delivery after repeated requests at the reception. 10. Room service starts only after 7.30 AM 11. Pathetic house keeping service 12. Hospitality of receptionists were not upto the mark, especially the lady receptionist. 11. The most horrible thing is doors of Rooms 308 and 310 could be opened with any room key. Please do not stay this hotel at any cost which is unsecured and uncomfortable and serves tasteless food. I cannot say even one good thing about the hotel during my one week stay. Please do not stay this hotel at any cost which is unsecured and uncomfortable and serves tasteless food. I cannot say even one good thing about the hotel during my one week stay.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at in my entire life. The hotel is absolutely pathetic, service is horrendous. The room were we first assigned to looked like there was a murder committed in it- room 105,(stains on the walls, bathroom was dilapidated-black stains on the roof and the tiles, shower door looks like it’s from the 1st century). After complaining we moved to another room. The new room doesn’t have a DND system, while we were inside the room a cleaning staff randomly opened the door, wanting to take the menu card and give it to another room, he wasn’t aware we were in the room. I had asked the receptionist to inform house keeping to clean the room at 10:30am, at 3pm when I returned to the hotel the room had not been serviced. The receptionist is like a bull at the front desk. She doesn’t have a smile on her face. The service is absolutely disgusting. The hotel is only located in a good place, that’s the only reason I gave it a star.

It was a wonderful and cosy stay at Suncity Apollo hotel. The room was big enough and the bathroom was spick n span. I really liked the excellent service during breakfast. I would give this hotel a 5-star rating at an affordable price. I would stay at this hotel at every visit

This hotel DONT look like the pictures AT ALL. The air condition was not working and raining all the night. The bathroom was completely dirty and old! The Toilet was broken. We didn’t had warm water for our whole stay. The curtains from the room were full with blood. After we complained about all of this things the stuff didn’t care about all of this. In the end we had to Pay the full price (90€ per night) for this joke. We advise anyone to not visit this hotel.

This seemed to be a good hotel, and I reserved a room by paying the requested amount. They received the amount, but did not confirm the reservation. Upon calling them, they said that the reservation cannot be confirmed. They agreed to refund the amount, but they are not refunding it - I have been calling them repeatedly (it's been 1 month now). @Suncity Apollo Hotel, if you are reading this, please check with Kunal - he knows this issue quite well.

The room was nice but dirty. The bed sheets and towels didn't look clean. Don't think I'll stay here again. But the location is as prime as it gets so for a 1-night stay, it was fine. The front desk guy was amazing!

My room was upgraded to deluxe. The staff is super friendly. My stay was really peaceful. But a great shout out to Micheal in aroma resturant. This guy really has a pleaseant personality, I say this because i had a tyring day and he talks you out of it, really good service and very professional Its the same with simran from front office.

Don’t use it if you’re with family Rating on the behaviour and response of the staff. They seemed to have a problem with couple staying or maybe they were under the impression that young people don’t have money…I don’t know. One of the staff even had the audacity of telling us to take small room because “we are young couple and need it it for one night”. We needed the room for three days bdw. I will advice them to be better when it comes to hospitality…one can make out that this just a shady hotel used for godforsaken business by the behaviour of the staff. P.S. We chose not to stay there after looking at the rooms and overall environment in general.

Full marks for the location. It's right at the start of Colaba market, next to Regal cinema, 3-4mins walk from Gateway. If you want to soak in South Mumbai streets, this hotel is just right. The rooms are also well maintained. The hospitality during the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The breakfast also tasted well and the items were exactly what you need for a fulfilling breakfast.

Location is great. Away from the hooting of mumbai. Service not sooo good. You have to remind them 2-3 times just to get your room cleaned.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The best part about this place is location, it’s 5 minutes walkable distance from Gateway Of India, Hotel Taj. The delux room was spacious enough considering the prime locality. Mr. Hussain at front desk was very helpful in making sure we had the best stay. Really loved the service of the staff, they were always willing to make sure the stay was good. Certainly recommend stay here!! It’s Mumbai prime location to have all the major places close by including the Colaba market.

Very close to Gateway of India, a decent hotel. Rooms are good, but the one alloted to us had smoking smell. The manager quickly changed the room which was well ventilated Breakfast was really good ... Omlette, Idli and Vada were the highlights.... However the dining area is small, this can be improved by the mgmt Location Location Location!!!! Close to all major tourist spots and famous restaurants like Bade Miya, Leopold cafe All in all a good value for money, but it can do better with some facelift to some of the rooms and expanding the dining area

Room : A bit older side, but everything was super clean, bed was very comfortable, sleep quality was fantastic. Hotel provided an upgraded suite room that was very spacious and AC worked perfectly. They had sufficient tea/coffee and provided extra RO water. Bathroom was decent, toiletries provided. Shower area a bit less, but big bath tub available with shower separately. Location: Great location Service: This is over and beyond expectations. Staff was super helpful . They offered help for everything, with a smile. Food: Breakfast buffet was good with fresh veg items like Dosa , eggs, vadas etc and non veg items like sausages.

    1. The hotel is only good due to the location. 2. The rooms are quite old and shabby. The furniture is old and the blankets are torn. 3. The breakfast room is quite small but the food is above average. The variety is also pretty good for breakfast. 4. The inhouse food service is good and reasonable. 5. Finally if you want to just stay near the gateway then go for it. But if you are thinking of getting a luxurious stay then pls refrain since there are almost no facilities in the room and everything is old.

Location is the only advantage. Rooms were clean but require renovation. Bathroom does not have enough space. Restaurant menu is average and many items in the menu may not be available all the time.

The lady Receptionist is very arrogant and so much miscommunication between the cashier and the lady. But the overall staff and services are good. I recommend this hotel as it's near to taj and the gateway to India.

  • 1/5 Diana D. 1 year ago on Google
As per Indian Series Act, 1887, one is allowed to use any restaurants washroom or drink water. However if you enter this pathetic hotel, they state their washroom is under renovation. A female who sits at the reception is so senseless that if a lady who is pregnant walks in, sticks up to her pride as if she owns the hotel to herself. These hotels should be sealed inorder to learn a lesson.

Dirty Rooms, pathetic view we cancelled our 3 days booking and shifted to other hotel. But one point i would like to mention here is the staffs. Front office staffs helped me to get my cancellation done. They are professional and showed very good attitude

Late check in and was provided almost 45 Mins late, rooms are not in good shape, and not properly cleaned. Found a bedbug! and was scared of it. Parking is paid at INR 500 per day, which should be mentioned somewhare. Was charged for extra bed but actually no space in room for extra bed. Food was really goood that's why 2 Stars and location is awesome!

Run down rooms and horrible toilets. We got deceived by the pic of the front façade and glass door while booking this hotel . We checked in on June 20th with intention to stay for 2N, but after seeing the room and toilets we checked out the following day. Room were dirty and run down. Furniture, walls, paint work and wood work are all worn out. Toilets are very small, narrow and dirty. Washbasin was a few inches off the hook. It's not possible to move inside the shower cabin. It's literally like an upright coffin. The commode is placed in-between two narrow walls and when u sir, both your legs will touch either of the walls. The toilet seat was half detached. Overall it was a horror story. We chose this hotel based on location. The location is very good, you pay 6k per night only for location , but i suggest pls avoid this for now and go for better hotels around. The following day we found building material being unloaded into the hotel. This hotel need some serious redo. Especially the toilets. I guess, if the rooms and toilets are completely redesigned and renovated, then this place for its location will be a seller. Until then pls avoid.

When I called at the morning the lady overthere at the reception she is very rude also she don't know how much sqft room they have in hotel what knowledge she have also she said in attitude muja nhi pata jo book kiya he vo mil jayega we are customer and you treat me like this if I think raised the issue in social platforms its costly for you and your hotel don't show attitude to the customer

Dirty room, unfriendly staff, wifi did not work! Avoid staying here and go for Gordon House instead. Not worth 3500 per night at all. The breakfast is not good at all!

The hotel was very clean and accessible. Staffs were extremely polite. You can order anything at anytime, they will deliver it without any problem. Rooms were also good
