The location is great, train station, Gate of India and Marine Drive all in walkable distance. The current metro construction makes getting around a bit more difficult though. Surrounding streets are lined with monumental colonial buildings. While the interior of the room (adjacent building) looked totally 5 stars, the cleaning and maintenance staff does not take care of it well. Luckily the reception staff makes totally up for it, they definitely give you a proper 5 star service. Generally all staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Noise wise it is relatively quiet, I was just annoyed a bit by bell noises and some people talking on the phone next building, but that was not early morning. The airport is around 40 minutes away at late night/morning, but at day time I would definitely plan more time. Prices to the airport start at 600 rupees, from was almost double.

Great place to stay - staff are very polite and friendly to the end of your stay. Great location but the most noticeable is the amazing hospitality and customer service at its finest. Very clean and tidy, air conditioning works properly and they had a great tour guide that took us a around too. Breakfast was great too! Will definitely be back if I find myself in Mumbai again.

Hotel was neat. The Staff is very welcoming and warm hearted. The breakfast was good. It is hardly 1km from CST and Marine Drive. Perfect location for the price. The rooms are not that spacious but the interior is done well to give it a nice cozy yet modern feeling.

Having stayed in dozens of hotels in different countries, I never expected to have the best experience and stay to date in Mumbai, in Residency hotel. The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre and you can reach most places by foot. The Club rooms are just spectacular, very spacious, modern, clean, with all amenities and if something is missing, reception can take care of it. Breakfast is served in a lovely room, there is a good selection of diverse foods and drinks and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, it was a pleasure eating there, and as an added bonus one of the staff members would make one of the best cappuccinos on demand! The highlight for us were the reception staff who went above and beyond to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Special thanks to Roshany, the best reception manager we have ever seen, and who can easily teach others around the world how to do the job so good. We were two women from Germany on a first time visit to India and overall had a great experience, highly recommended to anyone going to Mumbai.

The hotel is reasonably well fitted out, a little old in places. But it’s all made up for by the amazing staff. Helpful, efficient, friendly and carrying out their work with a smile and great sense of humour. Breakfast was good compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at. Eggs and omelettes to order and a great Indian selection. Don’t miss out on the coffee art on your cappuccino (see photo). The metro construction is a bit of a pain but it’s not the fault of the hotel and they apologised and moved us to a better quieter room.

This is one of the best hotels for stay in the Fort area of south Mumbai. You won’t find better accommodation at this price. People are so nice, staffs with executive behaviour and food so good. You’ll get a true 3-Star experience. While it is still a bit costly for people on low budget, yet surely recommended for medium budget travellers. I regret I don’t have any photos to post at this moment. Will surely update if I get some. Thank you for reading. Have a good day!

We had a really nice and pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful all the time. They also helped us to organize a tour with a private guide for a reasonable price. Our room was big, comfy and clean. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and also really liked the good location of the hotel. We highly recommend to stay here when you come to Mumbai.πŸ§‘πŸ€πŸ’š

Very comfortable hotel in Fort, in a busy neighborhood with lots of good places to eat. Rooms are clean; a good breakfast with lots of choices is included. The staff, including Rajesh and Gopal in the lobby, are very helpful and welcoming. A great choice in South Mumbai.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Residency Hotel Port in Mumbai, and I must say it was an excellent experience. The rooms were not only comfortable but also impeccably clean, and the attention to hygiene was truly commendable. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with their prompt and friendly assistance making my stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food offered at the hotel. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the culinary offerings were consistently outstanding, catering to a variety of tastes.

We LOVED our 4 night stay here. Great location for easy walking to main sites. The room was so clean, comfortable beds, Great decorative order and THE Best shower in India. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional (not pushy). I would stay here again and recommend to my family and friends travelling to Mumbai, even those who could afford to stay at Taj Palace as location is better and breakfast service amazing.

Best hotel in South Mumbai with super clean rooms and excellent breakfast! Rooms were in medium size with clean bathroom and small wardrobe. The best thing about this hotel was their hospitality! Courteous service and staff let us stay in lounge room, after long tiring day. Will not rethink to book this hotel whenever visiting mumbai!!

A fine hotel in every sense. The staff are amazing, breakfast options are good, rooms are neat and clean. Room are a bit small, but that is the norm in this very expensive locality. Walking distance from a host of historic sights and sounds of this fantastic city. A repeat mention of the staff of this hotel, very helpful and respectful. I had a fine stay.

Planned to stay for 3 days, stayed for 10 instead. Excellent staff, they are always friendly, understanding and very helpful. I hoped the rooms would be a little bigger for the price, but I guess that's just Mumbai. Rooms were clean, and we didn't hear a lot of street noise at night, so that's nice. The food quality was very good too.

Amazing little hotel in the heart of downtown Mumbai. Residency is located in the Fort, near the Flora Fountain. Location is very good as two translations are nearby, so are the GPO and the Marine Drive, great for sunset watching. You can walk to the Colaba Causeway from the hotel, and will find many interesting shops, restaurants etc, on your way. Enjoy! Great staff, friendly, helpful and absolutely gracious. The rooms are clean, a little small. But everything is there, the bathroom complete with trimmings, shower, nice towels, etc. The beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows. Downstairs are two lounges for you to relax or enjoy an extra cup of tea. Breakfast is superb: cooked hot, Indian or Continental, the service is absolutely great and the coffee is great! Thank you Residency, keep going! Mariana Amar

I regularly stay at this hotel due its close and easy proximity to the Bombay High Court. The rooms are good enough. Clean, convenient and functional. The best part about this hotel is its staff who are extremely polite, well behaved, very welcoming and always eager to help. The breakfast spread is good. I would recommend this hotel in Fort area in Mumbai.

Great position I must say. Close to the main Fort area. Rooms are good, a bit expensive for what you get, but a good deal considering being Mumbai. Service was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also good, having both Indian and western options

Very small rooms which can make you feel claustrophobic. May be that is all what is feasible in a business area like Fort, Mumbai. The hotel staff is very caring and courteous. The breakfast is very good. Location is good for those who have business in the Fort area. Not value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. Firstly the staff are incredibly friendly and both men at the concierge were great. One helped us order our Uber to the airport and kept calling the driver for us to check on their location, and he came to our rescue when my girlfriend went to get water from a nearby shop on her own and was crowded by 4 men. He came out of the hotel to clear them away and brought her back safely. The room is nice, good aircon, clean and modern. Breakfast is a good choice and location is brilliant to walk around, with Fort area being full of different restaurants.

Amazing experience at the hotel! The staff was very kind and did everything they could to help me. My bedroom was a true haven of peace in this hectic city. Amazing internet connection (I also came here to work) and full breakfast included in the price. The location is very central and is at a walking distance from major places here in Mumbai. My bedroom was located in one separated building from the main one so I wasn't annoyed with the metro's construction site.

We strongly recommend this hotel! Overall, our stay was excellent. πŸ“ Location is perfect: in Fort neighbourhood, close (walkable distance) to many major landmarks (Gate of India, CST train station, Marine Drive, the main museum, etc). πŸ›οΈ Our room was very clean and pleasant room, we could have a comfortable sleep. Even though there was a small issue with the curtain, it was resolved swiftly thanks to the efficiency of the hotel staff. πŸ’ The staff is professional, polite, and helpful. Even more than expected, which is incredible! 🍳πŸ₯žπŸ› The breakfast offers a pretty wide range of food: from Indian (Southern and Northern) to Occidental, everyone's taste will be satisfied. They even have an expression machine, so you'll be able to taste coffee from a barista. We loved this hotel!

The staff is incredible. Rajesh made us feel welcome since the minute we walked in. The location is extremely close to all the main sights. You are a stone-throw away from the Gateway to India and the train station. The room, the bathroom, and even the breakfast was incredible. I highly recommend it.

This hotel has a great location to go and explore the Fort and Southern area of Mumbai. We were able to walk everywhere very easily and felt right in the heart of where everything is happening. Also the breakfast buffet is great with enough choices and changing warm meals. Overall our room was okay, the room we initially booked got super hot at night because the AC stopped working so we were moved to the opposite room. This room was fine but I think for the price you pay there are some small upkeep things that should be fixed. The desk drawers were stuck down with celetape and in our previous room the handle for the shower kept coming off when we put the shower on. Other than that the stay was lovely.

Great staff and location! Rooms however, are quite small and dated. For instance the AC face fell off one night and the laminate doors in the bathroom are peeling from poor airflow and high humidity. The front desk is most helpful and able to exchange USD to rupees without fee. They offer great restaurant recommendations as well and will even walk with you to suggested locations. Again, staff was amazing overall. Only major issue I had was when they recommended a nearby tailor they trusted that charged 3x local prices because I was a tourist after confirming with my local friend.

Very good hotel in the middle of Fort, a buzzing area walking distance from Colaba, where all the main museum and touristic attractions are. Stunning and impeccable service, everyone is very kind, attentive to detail and always with a smile on their face. Good breakfast and spacious double bedroom. Highly recommended!

We are currently staying in this hotel and we are overwhelmed by how wonderful we are finding it. It is not a super fancy hotel but it has the most 5 star staff. It feels like you are staying in a 5 star hotel. The helpfulness, friendliness and incredible service provided by those who work in reception, in the restaurant, and housekeeping makes one feel so valued as a customer. The room is very clean and has all that you need including a small fridge, safe, kettle and complementary coffee and tea. The bathrooms are small but come with quality shampoo, wash gel, conditioner and hand soap. The breakfasts are outstanding and so varied to satisfy most tastes. We are loving it and wish we can stay longer. I would not hesitate to recommend and want to thank the staff for making a last couple of days in India so memorable.

The residency Ford is an excellent hotel with a very friendly staff. The staff gave us good advice and helped us with good price in booking our tours. The location is on a very good spot but on the time we were there the subway was under construction in front of the hotel.

Pay a bit more to get a larger room is worth the money for comfort. The staff is amazing and helpful. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Enjoy the evening with masala chai on the house. The service is fantastic, you just feel pampered.

The location was great and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Upon check in, we were upgraded to the "Indigo Suite." The room was slightly outdated and the sheets / curtains were stained in some places. The bed itself was comfortable and the AC worked well.

Travelling around northern India most hotels were unclean and the staff rude. This hotel was completely different. The comfiest bed ever!! Great AC, great shower temperature (although it was hard to pull to get the main shower instead of the handheld one). The staff are kind, including the cleaners, and are extremely attentive (maybe a bit too attentive if you’re British lol). On our first night a staff member walked us to a recommended restaurant. The included breakfast is amazing - waffles, eggs, masala dosa. Some nights it could be a little loud from the streets outside so maybe more window glazing is needed. Very happy with this stay overall.

I had a really pleasant stay at the Residency Hotel Fort where I spent my last days of a long trip in India. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed with a cold drink and a snack. The staff were extremely friendly and helped with every question and request I had. The room was clean and cosy with blackout curtains and air conditioning.

I’m pushed to write this review based on how the staff was so so KIND to my family. Each individual who works for this hotel is polite, helpful and what not. Not because they want tip, but they are genuinely helpful. They had awesome breakfast selections, though it had a self serving system still their staff choose to serve to every table individually. Located 10mins from colaba causeway, gateway of india, churchgate , everything is ideal about this hotel. Thank you.

Small room for delux category. Service is great. Morning breakfast is delicious. They offer free drinking water and breakfast. Staff is polite and helpful. If you want to spend most of the time in room then select big one. Delux room can occupy max two people only.

We did not have a good start in this hotel. After a long trip, we arrived in the evening/night looking to rest. Instead of that, we were given an old room very close to the ongoing metro construction that was happening in the night. After struggling for more than an hour with no possibility to sleep, we asked for a change. First call and answer was: hotel is full. Really? In a Wednesday night with no public holidays nor anything? Obviously was not true. Second call and answer was: you want a quiet room? We have, but then you need to pay more. Excuse me, I did not book a hotel with all night noise included, or at least I did not see that in the features in Booking.com!? After some discussion, we finally were changed to another nicer and more quiet room, which would have been our start in this hotel instead of all this mess. Breakfast was ok and in general the personnel there is nice, except the receptionist that night that was not very helpful at the beginning. Think twice before booking here, metro construction is not happening over one night only!

I booked a big heritage room(city view) but initially they gave me a very small room. I immediately recognised that this is not the room that I booked and I reported the same. Then they shifted me to the big heritage room and told me that they are giving me a free upgrade. In short that was not any upgrade but was actually the room that I booked. Moreover it was not the city view room but room without any view. I am really disappointed with this. If I am paying for a big room you should give me that instead of giving me a small room. They do like this so that they can get other walkin customers for big heritage room which will be occupied easily than the small rooms. I must mention that their service and buffet was good.
