Extremely well managed, excellent location, great value. The management is the differentiating factor and makes this place great. They keep the whole place very clean 24/7, thereโ€™s security around the clock (despite being in a great neighborhood), they are super prompt to help you find anything youโ€™d need. The 4.5 star rating is no accident - theyโ€™re pros. This was my first hostel experience and certainly one to remember. Thanks for the hospitality!

Rooms are clean with 5-6 beds per room. Locker available though you need to have your own lock. No locker for luggage, but frequent travelers stated that luggage is always safe here. Washrooms are shared unisex washrooms. Morning tea and breakfast is available. Tea is fantastic. Person at reception in morning was a bit rude and not at all welcoming.

The only USP of this place is Location. Located between Colaba Social and Smoke House Deli, walking distance from Gateway of India and on the back side of Taj, that's the only good thing going for this hotel. Apart from this, my experience at the hotel has been abysmal. One of the worst service I have ever seen in my life. Nobody checks the basic amenities like washroom, telephone. The flush was very loose, telephone lines not working. After raising the issue of telephone line and they fixing it, again it happened the next day. I asked for water bottle and I never got it! I stayed there for 5 nights! That's the poor service they provide at this place. My recommendation would be that if you need a place to crash and roam a lot, this will do. But if you are looking for a proper hotel, never go there.

The location is good but the staff was very rude. I went on a business trip with 6 other people. And when we reached there, the rooms were not available and they asked us to share rooms. We got all the confirmation over e-mail about availability of 7 rooms for single accommodation. The staff was very rude and when we argued about this, they told us to adjust or leave. Also, we saw the rooms, they were disgusting. Rooms were stinking, water dripping over walls. Worst experience ever.

Just behind Taj! When you can't afford Taj Colaba, just book Diplomat!! All perfect. Old property nicely renovated. Food and Staff was good. I gave 4 stars for room and there was kitchen above my room and they make lots of noise since 5.30am and broke my sleep. Rest all was perfect near Gateway, Taj, Colaba and โค of Bombay!

I would give 3.5 stars. The stay was really good. But there was some issue regarding whether the occupants are going to check out or not. We reached before time and had to wait as the room booked by us online was not yet vacant. They finally gave us upgrade for the room at same price.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL WAS GOOD, SERVICE PROVIDED BY STAFF IS NICE, ONLY THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN THE HOTEL WAS THE LOCATION, IT IS LOCATED ABOVE THE PUB( COLOBA SOCIAL) AND IF YOU ARE BOOK A HOTEL FOR SOME WORK OR HAVING EXAM THAN BECAUSE OF THE PUB THERE IS SO MUCH OF DISTURBANCE IN SOME ROOMS AND I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND DONT BOOK YOUR ROOM IN FIRST FLOOR, HOTEL ITSELF HAVE BANQUET AND THERE IS ALSO SO MUCH OF NOICE IF HAVING FUNCTION, IF YOU STAY FOR VACATION IT IS GOOD PLACE OTHERWISE NO FOR EXAM HAVING IN MUMBAI OR HAVING WORK and also toilet was not good

We had an awesome experience staying at this hotel. Everything was good, the location is amazing as it is just behind the iconic Taj Hotel. The staff is so well trained and courteous that they take care of every possible problem of your travel and stay, with a smile. Rooms are OK, rest everything was amazing. Highly recommended!

Such a disappointment. I booked after reading good reviews but this is the worst hostel I stayed at in Mumbai and the worst one I have ever slept in globally. It looks nice in the photos online but that's all. There are ongoing building works taking place on lower floors and lots of noise as a result. The receptionist was very unfriendly, only emphasising that I needed to be out by 9am the next day. The room was very hot, AC wasn't working and the fan near my bed wasn't either. The bed sheet is too small to cover the entire mattress and there is no matress cover. This is not hygienic. There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets for all male and female hostel guests on the floor. The toilets and showers were very dirty and wet and there was no toilet paper in the toilets.

Have been here multiple times. The rooms were always clean and the service great. The main attraction is that how they have converted an old stone made building in the heart of Mumbai into a cozy place to stay with all amenities. There are no private rooms. Only dorms and common washrooms. Although, in my most recent visit, I found the ceiling full of spiderwebs and lizards. Hope that thing gets sorted out soon.

๋ˆ€ โ€“ Good sized, clean room with AC. Bed was comfy and bathroom had a nice shower. Staff were polite and helpful. The strong point of Flora Fountain is the central city location. It is within walking distance of Colaba, Fort, Kala Ghoda, Churchgate etc., and a short taxi ride to other nearby markets and spots of interest (if you get a timeslot with no traffic jams).Flora Fountain comes highly recommended. It's location is very good, easy to get to all the good spots in Colaba and elsewhere. Its neighborhood is slightly more quiet than other spots such as Colaba Causeway. There are good options for food and drink nearby. The rooms can be a bit rough around the edges (peeling paint and such), but they are comfortable and offer comparatively good value for money. In the end we stayed for 13 nights and eventually we had to cut short our India trip. So while our experience as a whole was not that good, we are very grateful for the hospitality and care provided by Flora Fountain.

I felt it's an old property running based on its location. There are no doorbells and one needs to knock on door. No luggage room and if it's a large group, there are chances of luggage getting misplaced. The room service food is good. Breakfast buffet was also good with options and service.

    1. Potential to be a great place. A little clean up will do wonders. Location is just amazing. 2. Check in / check out - no basic technology. Too rudimentary & takes heโ€™ll lot of time. 3. If you have patience then itโ€™s a good place. Not for urgent work stay types.

The property is extremely old and the staff mentality is tubed to that. Mr Prashant from the front office will make you feel like you coming there for free and will refuse to even the smallest of your request. Pathetic left over and smelly food for breakfast buffet. Waste of money.

Went there solo in July, 2022. Location is very convenient. Just 5 minutes walk from CSMT station. Booked from Make My Trip and faced no issues. Staff is friendly and washrooms are super clean. Perfect for a solo traveller.

Everything here is good except the staff and the biggest problem is that there is no parking available here. You have to park on road and they charge you 700 bucks for 24 hours also my car had scratches after i parked here

Pretty clean and well maintained rooms. 5/5 for the washrooms ( has tissue rolls as well). The hotel is at a very prime location as well.

Not worth to stay in this hotel , in 4.5K budget you will get good options. Rooms & Toilet bathroom are very small. Photos and reality is totally different.

Hotel Diplomat is amazingly beautiful with a very soothing interior and also a very eco --friendly terrace with a warm hospitality. A beautiful place to relax and makes us feel -at -home. i had a great experience during my stay there. The rooms are very classy with all the facilities to fulfil our needs. The food served there is very delicious. And also not forgetting to mention about the management, who are very pleasing. As a whole i had a very good time there and would surely like to visit there again.

The place is very close to taj itโ€™s right in front of the taj Starbucks and right next to Colaba social. They had two types of rooms standard and deluxe. Standard was 6000 rs and was a bit small compared to deluxe and deluxe was 7000rs per night it had 2 induividial bed with a couch and they put another bed for the third person and could easily accommodate 3 people. The rooms were air conditioned, with good bathroom, TV did not work and the breakfast was from 6-10 and was not bad.

The Diplomat Hotel is the perfect landing mark for those who want to visit the lively neighborhood of Colaba. It has walking distance access to shopping areas, restaurants and tourist attractions such as the Gateway of India. The room and service were good and the price is very affordable. For those who want to invest more on shopping and less in accommodation, this is a very good stop over.

The location is good but the hotel rooms are in bad condition. Its pretty old property and some rooms are hell for sleep as they are just above Colaba Socials.

Good and polite staff, good entรฉralo stay wonderful location and great view Iโ€™ll visit this place next time for sure. Tak hotel bang opposite and walkable distance from gateway of Mumbai approximately 100 metres what else you want. Visit around September to December for a good pleasant climate and also to take great feel of the place.

Room height is 8 to 9 feet. Bathrooms are very very small. No choice in breakfast. They are charging only for location which is actually good. Rest is all bad. Service is very bad. Not a place worth the price they are charging.

Very okayish place to stay at. The only advantage is the location. However I feel it would be better to stay at oberio or trident by paying just a Lil more !! The hotel looks old, rooms are small and conjusted too but it was clean. The staff is co-operative and humble. Room service is prompt. Breakfast served here is just Average. Bed was not very comfortable in my room. My stay here for 2 days was pleasant. Parking not provided by the hotel. We have to pay additional Rs. 200 per day parking the car near the hotel. Go here only if you want to stay near the gate way of India.

Nice location for tourists, very courteous staff, fast service, very neat and clean hotel. Spacious rooms specially from Mumbai point of view. Above all decent food.

Quite an unhygienicย hotel. The washrooms were not so clean and were smelling. We saw a rat moving around the breakfast serving area. Lunch was good. But overall I disliked it. Being at a prime location, the hotel was not up to the mark.

I have stayed here for 3 weeks, Room no. 313. Over all experience is awesome. Service, food, Cleanliness everything was good. Breakfast was complimentry but don't think it was any less than fantastic. Everyday it changed and taste was good. Location was best one can get in Mumbai, Colaba.. opposite Taj and at walking distance from Gateway of India. For solo business stay, Standard room is recommended. For family or couple Deluxe room are best. Room Service, Housekeeping & staff at reception all were humble and down to earth. PS: Pics attached, I have taken from terrace of hotel at floor 4

Location is awesome it's just backside of Taj. But hotel is very old, food breakfast is not have much variety. We have booked 2 deluxe room but while checkin there was one deluxe room and another one std room they have allocated. They said that next day shifting to deluxe room. However they have not changed the room but bill charged as deluxe room. This is very disappointed.

Hotel Diplomat, located behind the Famous Taj Hotel at Colaba. Easy to find out. The Gateway of India is one minute walkable distance. The room are very neat and clean. The staffs are well behaved and supportive. They have small party hall in affordable rates. Food quality was also super.

Located at excellent place and cost is apt looking at the price point of the location and service they offer with all allowance of outside food they provide. Very near to Gateway of India and it is behind Taj Hotel. Walking distance from Bade Miyan. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. However infrastructure is old which can be appearant once you are inside the hotel. My room AC was bleeding cold water inside the room creating a small pool inside. The toiletries were cheap quality. Overall I will give it 3 star due to the quality of the rooms.
