I go here every once a year as a treat for my anniversary! The food is absolutely mouth watering, flavoursome and authentic Indian food. The services is absolutely 💯 and vibe of the restaurant is buzzing when busy. Highly recommended it for vegetarians

Great food. Experienced the best Indian food in London. Amazing service. Each and every dish are distinctive and flavourful. We also enjoyed the ambience, the environment and beautiful designs. Will definitely come back to experience more.

I was very much looking forward to our dinner, it was awful, rice was straight out the microwave all dried up .The rice bowl was so hot just out the microwave that I couldn’t touch it, the prawn curry was so bland. I tried half of one prawn it felt like I’m chewing plastic. The coast guard watermelon and coconut drink was just artificial syrups used to make a full packed sugar drink. My partners Cauliflower fenugreek was just hard not even half cooked (cauliflower) I think it was just cut into pieces and warmed up not cooked . We left our food after having one bite of each dish paid and left to go and eat elsewhere.

Delicious food and good service. I think the spices were toned down to suit the local palette, which was appreciated. The only thing was that we were seated next to the kitchen entrance, and staff kept bustling around us with trays which was slightly annoying.

Bombay Brassiere Restaurant Review. I recently attended a medical school friends' reunion at Bombay Brasserie, and boy was it a blast! It was like a scene out of Grey's Anatomy, but with way more naan bread and biryani . Bombay Brassiere in London is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant's atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, making it an ideal place for a special evening out. The attentive waiters provide excellent service, frequently topping up drinks and refilling glasses throughout the meal. For starters, the herb crusted prawns are a must-try. The prawns are perfectly cooked and seasoned with a delicious herb crust. The bhutta kebabs are also a standout dish, with tender and flavourful corn tikkis. The Sev Puri, Bhel Puri, and Pani Puri are all delicious and flavourful street food-style starters that provide a great introduction to Indian cuisine. Moving on to the mains, the lamb dum biryani is a highlight dish, with tender and succulent pieces of lamb cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fragrant basmati rice. The Murgh Kali mirch masala is another standout dish, with succulent chicken cooked in a spicy black pepper sauce. For vegetarians, the Kamal kakdi kofta and Vegetable chilli kurchan are must-try dishes. The Ennai kathrika and Kadhi pakodi are also excellent vegetarian options that are full of flavour. To end the meal on a sweet note, the desserts at Bombay Brassiere are outstanding. The Gulab jamun cheesecake is a unique twist on the traditional Indian dessert, with a creamy cheesecake filling and the addition of syrupy gulab jamun. The Golden apricot kheer and Shahi tukda are also delicious dessert options. The chief chef Sudhir has managed to turn each dish into a concoction of flavour, aroma and fabulous taste.Assisstant manager Bernardo Pires went an extra mile to offer us one of the best services ! The food at Bombay Brasserie was the perfect accompaniment to our trip down memory lane. The lamb biryani was so good, I think I heard one of my friends say they were willing to give up their stethoscope for a lifetime supply of it. Overall, it was a day filled with laughter, good food, and even better company. If only all medical emergencies could be solved over a plate of delicious Indian cuisine!

What was once arguably one of the best Indian fine dining experiences in London is a shadow of its former self. Change in management and the Head Chef has resulted in some of the worst food I've ever had the displeasure of being served. Pretty much everything was warm at best and cold at worst. The king prawns required extreme effort to cut with a knife which just goes to show the lack of effort that has gone in to ensure it was cooked perfectly. We returned everything on the table and what came as a replacement was shockingly exactly the same in terms of quality. Left utterly shocked and disappointed at the sheer drop in quality. Thankfully their customer service is still top notch, but you go to a restaurant to eat, and eat here you shouldn't. I sincerely hope the restaurant gets a shake up and is able to return to its former glory.

Fantastic Indian cuisine. All from our starters...Palace chat, achari paneer to mini dosas to biryanis, dals, methi/malabar parathas to dals a side dishes...the food was lip smacking. The spice levels were mellowed down ...probably to suit local pallette. Service is fast, friendly and attentive. One of us celebrating our birthday received a cake as well. The meal concluded with gulab jamuns and raspberry chocolate mousse. A fantastic experience overall. Looking forward to our next visit.

My most recent experience was the lunch Mogo chips 😕 cassava chips are meant to be softer Pani puri 😍 no chick peas fortunately (I don’t like chick peas in my puri, I like moong sprouts instead thus these are perfect). The water was sooo delicious! Tasted very authentic Masala fries 😍 delicious fries sprinkled with a bit of Chaat masala, sanchar (black salt), chill powder etc Sev puri 😍 not sure why this was so good but it just was Bhel puri 😊 great, but nothing compared to the sev puri Salty and mango lassi 😍 salty lassi tastes like chaas (buttermilk). Alternatively, mango lassi is ideal if you’re looking for something sweet A pasta plate 🙁 not sure why they even served it or had it on the menu Dahi rice with tadka 🙁 not my personal favourite Mains Aubergine matar 😍 best main ever Palak paneer 😊 another great dish. Very soft paneer Kadhi 😊 Dal makhani 😊 they removed dal makhani from the buffet menu, but we ordered it from Al carte. I used to love it, but felt it lacked a bit of salt Desserts Gulab jamun 😍 hard to go wrong with it. It’s slightly less sweet compared to some of the other ones I’ve had (still super sweet though) but I love that! Chocolate mousse with carrot tarte 😍 everyone loved the mousse! The carrot tart doesn’t necessarily pair well with the chocolate mousse but I liked it anyway (wouldn’t re-order the tart though) Malai kulfi 😍 beautiful presentation and delicious! Many times better than the mango kulfi 😶 which no one seemed to enjoy as much Birthday sponge cake 😊 mixed it with a bit of malai kulfi from earlier and loved it Ras malai 😍 if you like ras gulla you will love this Nice ambience. Good service. Love it!

It’s an amazing and nice dining experience. The service is good. Food is delicious. Love the lamb chop, butter chicken curry and chaat. Desserts are the best, all are really nice and beyond our expectations. The portion is high and all tasted soooo good. They offer a special birthday surprise, quite interesting. The decor and space of the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommended for special occasions or celebrations.

Step into Bombay Brasserie and you're hit with a wall of liquor that's practically a liquid treasure chest. Situated near Gloucester station, this place is a feast for the eyes, but be prepared to work some extra hours to afford the liquid dreams on their drinks menu. After being ushered into the main dining area, which was tastefully decorated, we were bestowed with the holy duo of chutney and papadums. That chutney could almost make anything taste good! The starters waltzed in, led by the palakpatta chaat, trying its best to outdo its rival at The Fat Pundit. It's was like a dance-off between the two- flavorful, but this palak chaat could've used a bit more drama. Then the achari paneer tikka entered, like that one friend who always promises a party but shows up with a pack of playing cards - a bit underwhelming. Enter the chicken tikka makhani. The chicken was so seasoned, it had more layers than a soap opera, and the tandoori flavor made each piece a symphony of spices. And then came the mint paratha, which I was surprised to still be able to taste the mint. Don't forget the £9 wine - the “budget” option that won't lead to bankruptcy, unlike some of their other choices. In the end, Bombay Brasserie left me feeling like a budget detective at a luxurious masquerade ball. I couldn't help but compare it to Dishoom, where my wallet and taste buds would do a happy dance. But if you're here to flaunt your fancy pants and make a statement, this place will have you strutting like a peacock. Just make sure you stick to the chicken tikka; it's the Beyoncé of their menu. Overall rating: 3/5 - The Bombay dream might not be my personal food fairytale, but it's got enough glamour to light up a star-studded evening.

Visited Bombay Brasserie with my wife for an afternoon brunch. The brunch has a separate menu and it costs 60 pounds a head. Theo is located near Gloucester Road tube station and when you come out the station turn right into Courtfield Close and the restaurant is right there The place is very well decorated with some pictures from India from what I would say is British Raj The place caters a wide variety of mock tails and cocktails so worth checking and ordering it The service is spot on and yeh you are well looked after We had the pleasure of the Main Chef Sriram cooking when we attended and I am sure the standards are same when he is not there. The food was very delicious and as it was a buffet brunch we helped ourselves to a lot of various dishes. Dishes which we never try As a vegetarian I was bit worried as when you look at the menu it is not really clear what the veg dishes are I didn’t had to worry they were spot on I had some idly chutney Managalore Goli Baje (if you had the original this is no where near it but is a nice touch) rice, Dal Makanai, some potatoes, curd rice, bisi belabath and Nan bread o should have ordered one, but ordered two and it was too much There was papadoms was nice and the mango chutney was slightly spicy but nice We missed the deserts as there was no space in my tummy (haha) Lovely place and I would definitely recommend it Three cheers to the staff and chef in there We will be back :) Thank you

Had an average, decent visit to Bombay Brasserie. It was my first time. The service was good, and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good too. Food was slightly disappointing. Naan was dry, and some of the curry dishes just didn’t go right. They need to work harder to compete with Jamavar, Bombay Bustle, Pahli Hill, Dishoom etc!

The chicken biriyani 🥘 is a nice dish to eat. So is the tandoori salmon 🐟. I have also enjoyed their naan bread. Given the area the price is fairly understandable. However, I would not order from this place regularly as it is expensive and my order on UberEats took ages.

We dined in on Friday and it was not busy (lots of tables were not occupied) and 20mins in we did not have anyone come and ask about water or drinks. We had to go and ask if anyone was going to come and ask us if we wanted any drinks. Instead of owning they made a mistake they made excuses such as “you were talking so we thought you were still deciding” - not sure drinks needed to be discussed for that long! I found it strange that they couldn’t do a double G&T when asked! We ordered food and when we asked if the chicken main dish would be enough for two we were advised it was not - it was enough for two. Based on advice we ordered another dish and we took a substantial amount of food home after spending a lot of money (which could have been prevented if appropriate advice was given. We spent £300+ for 4 people. All that said the quality of food was good (could ease off on the amount of oil used though), quantity great, taste was great and ambiance good.

Bombay Brasserie always delights! We have been celebrating at the restaurant since they opened in 1982 and have thoroughly enjoyed the best Indian food that is on offer in palatial surroundings with a throw back to a certain era and updated discreetly regularly. Well done to the new team under the guidance of the established. Delicious, divine, authentic dishes! Warm greetings of recognition that make us feel so welcome and part of the great service that reflects on the Taj brand.

To begin with we are very familiar with South Asian food having visited the region several times and frequenting restaurants in both North America and Europe. This restaurant was extreamly disappointing. They present themselves as high end. We showed up with no reservations and the hostess acted like she really put herself out just to seat us. They have an extreamly large dining area that had plenty of seating. As we dined we noticed more staff than patrons so staffing was not the issue either. The food was extreamly bland and unremarkable. Inexpensive takeout is better. The servers did no have a clue about dining repeatedly taking the utensils off of our plates and placing them back on the table between courses, reaching over our plates etc etc. They were so invasive it was uncomfortable. The restaurant is nicely set up and decorated. Too bad the food and service are subpar.

Amazing place to eat the most authentic Indian food. The ambience and the hospitality were truly amazing. Kudos to the staff for taking care of us from the start and helping us settle down. The buffet was filled with delicious chaat items ranging from paani puri to bhel puri and some nibbles. The starters included chicken, prawns and a vegetable patty with salads. Lot of good options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Everything tasted authentic and it was similar to what you get in India. I highly recommend this place 👌👌👌👌👌

We enjoyed a delightful meal featuring a wide array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, complemented by delicious Indian snacks. The host, Mr. Amey Sawant, exudes warmth and cheerfulness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was pleasing, and the food quality stood out. I particularly relished the sweets, including kheer, beetroot halwa, and kulfi. Our visit for Saturday brunch was thoroughly enjoyable, and I look forward to returning.

I appreciated the above-average food at the restaurant, although it didn't quite live up to the hype. The service was excellent—attentive without being pushy. However, vegetarians might find limited options, and the cuisine seemed more tailored for the locals. Overall, a good experience but not extraordinary.

About as good as it gets for curry in London. Excellent location, really beautiful decor. Excellent service. Very subtle but professional. Food was delicious. Absolutely outstanding. Huge portions of excellent quality. I didn't visit the bar but from what I understand it can get quite busy. Overall an outstanding restaurant.

Lovely restaurant serving Indian food! We loved the decor, the menu & the very nice waitress who served our table. We came here on a Monday night and it was not too busy nor loud. It’s perfect for a date night or business dinner as you don’t sit too close to the next table.

The best Indian I’ve ever visited. The food was excellent, as was the service and the ambiance. There was even a live pianist. It also tastes healthy and doesn’t sit too heavy on the stomach. The servers know about the food and can recommend options based on your taste. All in all, a fantastic night here. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

We went here for Sunday dinner, around 8.. the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was excellent, authentic Indian, hot and spicy. The ambience of the place was very classy and tasteful. A reservation is recommended before your visit, as the place was quite packed. We ordered a starter, 1 curry, 3 bowls of rice and 3 drinks and the price came to about 115£. The money is definitely worth it! ?

We opted for the weekend lunch set menu as we were a large family group of 10 people. When booking the table we enquired about the lunch menu which is not actually shown on the website and were told that it was great value as it offered lots of choice for all tastes. We had been before for the same menu but it was a buffet at the time served in the conservatory area and to be fair there was enough choice offered but not one of the best we have had. Due to the current pandemic, food was served at our table which is actually easier than making several trips to the buffet area but unfortunately the experience this time was not as good for sure. The appetisers and starters were fine and served fairly quickly. However, when asking for more of the starters it took quite a while to get these and we were given tiny portions and kept having to ask for more which was annoying. Furthermore, it felt very rushed as the appetisers were served and then we were served the starters whilst we were still eating the appetisers. There was a break between the starters and the main course which was welcome but we all found the main course was lacking in Non vegetarian dishes. The only non veg dish with curry was the chicken curry and the rest of the 4 dishes on offer were all vegetarian! There was a lamb biryani which was not very appealing and full of rice and hardly any lamb. Desserts were average, we did not enjoy the shrikhand or the coffee halwa. Overall, quite disappointing. This was supposed to be a family lunch celebration but unfortunately we were not impressed with the variety of food and the service was not up to scratch either. I had to ask for water 3 times till we finally got some. When I asked for the main dishes to be served at the other end of our long table the staff member serving us said, "Mam the dishes are supposed to be shared"! Seriously??? They brought tiny portions of the main dishes between 10 people and were making a fuss when I asked for dishes to be kept at both ends of our long group table, in fact 3 people were on a table separated to allow for easy access in and out and even then they were not served everything! The masala chai at the end was not nice either and not even served warm enough. We left feeling disappointed and not looked after at all. My husband is a regular customer as he works nearby and often goes for client lunches but we really feel that neither the food nor the service was up to standard. It was not money well spent. The buffet we had previously offered far more variety and was far better value. We will certainly not be returning in the near future.

Went in for Sunday Lunch. Cost: £41 per person. Good: + It is filling, decent quantity and well presented. + Not part of London Congestion Zone. + Awesome ambiance. + COVID-19 distancing and precautions are good. + Clean toilets. Bad: - We did not enjoy all items in the meal, in fact only 4 items out of about 20. - Seems due to COVID-19 there are less staff, this does not necessarily affect the service but Benares, Gymkhana and Tamarind has better trained staffs overall. - I love Koftas, and the Malai Kofta here was not good. - Other not good items: Saffron Shrikhand (the Chef needs to relook at the recipe, I have had Shrikhand since I was born and it should not tasted like that). - Indian Filter Coffee is not in traditional way but it is made like Western Filter Coffee. Overall: - Did not enjoy the food as much as I wished I would. Quilon would be a better choice than Bombay Brasserie which is from the same Chef and Group, however Quilon's menu seems to fit the Chef's abilities right. Bombay Brasserie menu feels like the Chef was asked to make things Gujarati / Parsi / Bombay way - but fails at most angle.

A special credit to the restaurant manager Benny who was absolutely brilliant. He is a real credit to Bombay Basserie. The food was well presented and served fresh and hot. I would highly recommend their venue for a celebration party !!

Delivery order food was terrible! Food was not fresh, instead it was old tin food been reheated up in the microwave. The roti breads were hard like a stone. Didn’t expect this level of dissatisfaction from Bombay Brasserie. Won’t order again, waste of money.

The service was incredible and the atmosphere was great. They catered brilliantly for our large group, but they only had one or two vegan options. The vegan options were the same price as the meat options which is a bit frustrating as they were far more simple. Despite this we had a lovely evening and I would definitely recommend. ??

Very very good dining experience! Right from the location to the ambience, the quality of the food, the drinks list and to the service it's a 5 on 5. Portion size seems a bit small at first, but it's quite sufficient. Fantastic for large groups as well - ask to get seated in the conservatory if possible; ita an absolute delight. Definitely recommend for special occassions.

The food was delicious as you can imagine for a michelin stat restaurant and service impecabble. There was a family from abroad whom seemed to be regulars so goes to show it is popular with foreigners aswell as locals.

Dined at Bombay Brasserie on the 12th August for an anniversary celebration. We were greeted by a smile and quickly shown to our table. Dining room being quite nice, spacious from other tables and comfortable. Chose one of every mocktail on the menu and an added Virgin mojito as we were thoroughly impressed on how good these were. Complimentary Papads were a nice touch with a really nice Mango Chutney. We then proceeded to choose 3 starters, Green Carfreal, Seekh Kebab and Tikka which all were amazing. Packed with flavor, Punch stronger than that of any boxer and soft as can get, so tender. 3 main courses then followed; Chicken Makhani, Mangolorean Chicken and Biryani accompanied by Naan, Egg Paratha and Raita. Chicken Makhani was really nice and creamy, Mangalorean chicken a little bit of a let down but that could be due to being use to a different kind at other restaurants and Biryani and Breads being good too, not exceptional. Main highlights were the drinks and starters. Portions sizes are what is expected from Restaurants at this price point too, so nothing wrong there. Service was good, standard service, non intrusive and followed a certain service protocol but not beyond expectation either for a restaurant with the name as big as this one. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and have come to a conclusion that the drinks and starters are well worth a visit for

Beautiful place with tasteful decoration. Food is good and well presented. Table server are attentive and courteous. It was a good dinner. Price wise it's on a upper range, it was expected so no surprise here.

I loved it. Always have. One of my Top 3 high standard indian restaurants in the capital. You can't touch its excellence.

Relaxing and safe environment. Flavours were refined and cooked to perfection. Service was exceptional. Halibut starter is recommended and the freshly made Malabar Paratha are light, crispy, and the perfect accompaniment to some great main courses. Will be returning again!

Positives - the rooms are beautiful, shame they didn't have any seating in the kind of conservatory area, but understandable at the moment The food was good, not amazing but good Negatives - service wasn't good, brusque and hurried, maybe again a sign of the times and wanting to turn tables, but it's expensive even for the area so that didn't sit right with us It IS expensive, I think I would say overpriced actually, I have eaten better for a lot less, perhaps paying for the lovely room as opposed to the service and food, I don't think I would return. 3 stars are for the setting and one waiter who was ok, shame he didn't serve us all the way through.

High end Indian spot, up there with other solid restaurants (Zaika, Jamavar, dishoom), butter chicken was heavenly! Presentation here is much better here than any other Indian restaurant I’ve ever been, overall a very good experience, staff are very professional too! 10/10 recommend, top 5 Indian restaurant in London for me!

The Sunday Brunch buffet concept of being served did not work. The lamb and chicken dishes were not up to the usual high standard.

Very pricey and portions were tiny. Service was good but mains were bland, more for the indeginous people not for desi palates. Decor is a good reminder of the British Raj. Wont be going back.

Stunningly good, from the moment you set foot inside that delightfully-inviting candle-lit foyer, to the cavernous restaurant (SO MANY waiters!) and its amazingly-comprehensive menu.

Great experience as usual. This restaurant is a part of the renowned Indian Taj Group of Hotels. Offers an authentic premium taste of West Indian cuisine. During the lockdown, there was a set menu on offer which is somewhat similar to its sister restaurant, Quilon in Westminster. Must come shrine of Indian cuisine.

Had dinner this week. Best Indian i have ever had!! Unbeatable. Food so fresh and tasty A must if in West London

Quite pricy.. much better alternatives at this price point in terms of food. Starters were good, main course very average and Desserts are too sugary and very boringly prepared and presented. At these price points, you expect lot more thoughtfulness in mixing textures and presentation. Cocktails are just about OK.. alchemist is much better at lower price points.

I booked here hoping for a taste sensation and the food was meh ok at best. For the price I would've expected more on the plate. Out of a party 6 everyone agreed we wouldn't be back. The atmosphere when you entered was good but the service seemed to be disruptive at times. Overall I was left feeling disappointed as it was my decision to go here.

Beautiful setting and very good service. Tried their tasting menu. Starters were good but the mains were lack of flavours. Disappointed with the dal and the curry was lack of spices. Naan breads were the highlight but chicken was dry. Dessert was delicious. Perhaps trying their à la carte menu next time.

Enjoyed a Sunday Brunch with table service due to COVID restrictions. Good variety of starters, mains and desserts. Bit restricted for Gluten Free choices though alternatives offered. Ordered extra helping of chicken tikka which never arrived. But overall a pleasant outing with family at a reasonable price of £45. Some nice exotic cocktails. Beware no NHS Test and Trace check in performed on arrival.

Tried the taster menu as part of our post wedding reception dinner with friends. Food was ok, but pretty much standard Indian food, not a lot of creativity put into the dishes and menu itself. For the price we paid I would expect a slightly higher level of service and consistency. Hosts/servers were great to speak with and very accommodating.

We were in a large group so mandatorily had to go for the Taster menu... It was good but the large amount of tasters meant that we could not complete everything and there was a lot of food untouched even by the large group... Not a very efficient setup. Food was good in terms of options and taste but nothing really stood out as a signature or speciality dish.

Superb We had our dinner in the middle of September 2020 just before the 10pm restriction. That was my firs time dining at Bombay Brasserie and definitely I’ll be back. Before we went there I read few of the recent reviews and I was a bit sceptical as people were not very happy with the service but I must say our night was absolutely fabulous, special the service. We were straggling with the parking space and one of the waiters were very helpful and he give us advice where to park the car. Food was delicious and we have been looked after very well. One more thing, the interior design is absolutely fabulous.

I dined solo at the Bombay Brasserie in late February 2024. It was a first-class experience. The service was impeccable and the food superb. Amongst the best Indian meals I have had. Highly recommend.
