All in all, not recommended The Sheekh kebab starter was oily and dry. The mains - Hot Honey Chicken and Crispy Lamb Chops were amazing. There’s no rice on the menu so if you’re gluten intolerant, there’s nothing here in terms of carbs. Very strange. The service is absolutely dreadful - on a quiet Saturday afternoon, the staff were rude and generally didn’t want to be there. For 2 people, we paid £90+ for 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 sides, 2 bottle beers & 1 tea. All in all, not recommended. There are much better options nearby with better (more professional and friendly) staff

Fantastic dining experience in the heart of London, the food was simply amazing and we were left entirely satisfied after devouring a couple of the Sunday Thali Specials. The staff are also great, very friendly and welcoming, and did not hesitate to make some dietary suggestions. Overall, highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience, the food wasn't good overall, only the nann bread was good. I've never had any salad that I don't like and it was literally the worst flavour ever, the cauliflowers were undercooked. The service was OK except one of the waitress threw my food straight into the bin while I asked her to take them away, guess it was lost in translation I will never wanna go back.

Welcoming & helpful staff, however I wouldn't rush back there myself unless they add more animal-friendly dishes to their menu. 😉 A few of the very limited Plant-based options from the starters & sides were delicious, however London wants more!.. especially that so many places around that area already do better & it's about time for Tandoor Chophouse to step in with the times. 😉

Fantastic! Great menu concept for Sunday dining, basically its a little bit of everything from the menu served on a big sliver platter and all for a reasonable £60 called The Mighty Thali. There some really tasty dishes served and feeds 2/3 people. This option is only available on Sundays between 2-4 pm Staff polite, attentive and professional Located 2 mins walk from Charing Cross Station

Amazing lamb chops and honey chicken! Really good service and I would highly recommend visiting! 4 stars for food due to one of their signature dishes - tandoori chicken was super dry and chai was overpowered with spices in particular cardamom

Great Indian restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff is very dedicated! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and the location is great. I would have personally liked having a vegan option as a main dish (there are vegan side dishes available) and rice added to the dish, but overall a great experience!

Delicious food! Service was friendly and attentive! Everything was really good and tasty! Only downside is that the restaurant seems very small difficult to move around.

A restaurant in the heart of London that is delightful! The decor, ambience, and service were very good, indeed, not to mention the food. Friends opted for the no vegetarian dishes and were very happy indeed with the Kebabs and Chicken. I opted for the cauliflower croquettes, Chickpea chaat with tamarind, pomegranate & green chilli. For mains, I had the Lasooni Paneer and Black Dhal with peshawari Naan, definitely recommend and will be returning in the future. The tea is great, too, for those Asian tea lovers.

Had this place on my to go list for quite some time & finally had a chance to go. All that time waiting and was not disappointed. The food I had really was top notch, with the crispy lamb chops meeting expectations but the roasted pineapple dessert exceeding them. If in the mood for an alcoholic drink I would highly recommend the pale ale from India too. What really put the icing on this though was the friendliness of the staff and the ambience generated. Well worth the wait!

The food was simply amazing, each dish we had was so unique and memorable, I’m getting hungry just looking at these photos again! It was tough to get a reservation so make sure to book well in advance. We noticed some people managed to get walk in spaces but they had to wait a good while. It’s a small restaurant and packed pretty tightly, which means it’s a bit loud, so be prepared to speak up. I don’t think this detracts from the experience at all though, it’s simply the restaurants atmosphere.

I went on a Sunday to try the amazing Thali! It’s £60 altogether and I split it between three of us. If we were hungry it could have deffo been between 2 people, in fact, it’s what I would recommend. Service is a bit slow. The food is delicious and it’s very exciting when a GIANT platter comes out looks gorgeous! Not too authentic but the tandoori meats in particular are divine!!

Was very pleased that we came in to that little restaurant on rainy Sunday. The food was amazing and full of flavour! Although on that day the restaurant served a set menu rather then À la carte, the selection offered had everything what a party of three people would have wanted. The choice of dishes was well thought through to cater for different dietary requirements. The atmosphere was calm, the service staff was attentive and, as a result, we had great time there. Would definitely recommend Tandoor Chophouse to everyone 👍.

Really good experience recently, enjoyed the Thali Platter. Can easily feed upto 3-4 people, we did order some extra Naan to go with the Thali. Lamb Chops are super nice and the chicken & Paneer was tasty, you have a good variety available with dips and sauces. Nimbi Paani was really nice, cuts through the food nicely. Service was good, however when ordering the Thali the lady could have explained the portions a little better as we ended up ordering more Paneer. Good experience, next time I think I will order specific items instead of the Thali.

Probably the best Indian restaurant around. My husband says so, and it's his fave food. Our Indian friend says so. My son who went with me this time said it was the best meal he'd had in a long time. I'm not a huge fan of Indian food, and I love it. Should have remembered not to get the onion rings as they are just not the best thing there. The cauliflower thingies we're amazing. Spinach and lentils to die for. Just everything and anything is top notch. Go!

This small place feels pretty well managed and comfortable. I thought that some of the dishes were delicious, but others just so-so. This inconsistency feels like it comes from a bunch of cooks in the back with decent recipes, but the lack of a head chef tasting things and supervising before food goes out. I loved the chickpea chaat, perfect blend of spices, saltiness, and tamarind. But then, coming out of the same kitchen was tandoori chicken that looked good but was bland and expressionless. The beetroot kebabs were brilliant, chewy and tasty - but then the naan and roti breads were missing something, and I am a total sucker for freshly cooked bread. The black urad dal was pretty good although with some sort of dark burnt flavour like overfried mustard seeds or too much mustard oil. The chicken Ceasar salad was really nothing special, bland. The baby radish and hummus dish needed salt and seemed too oily. The dessert kulfi on a stick was nice. Service was very attentive and prompt. On the whole I think that this place is churning out decent food but needs some better oversight.

Finally made it after a year of anticipation. The food was outstanding and ambience was great. Waiters were friendly and polite. However, was let down by overall service. Starters came out individually so everyone had to share one small plate at a time before the next was served. Took almost one hour to get starters out and it was an hour and a half for the main to be served but like the starter it came one dish at a time. They do not do rice so we ordered naan bread to accompany the meal but these came right at the end by which point the mains were half finished / cold. Can’t really eat Dahl or Spinach without any bread. First main that came up were the lamb chops but as no other main was served it was shared amongst the 5 of us. Good job we didn’t mind sharing each others dishes. Shame otherwise would have been rated excellent.

Best Tandoori I’ve had in London. Butter chicken naan is a must have. Daal was delicious as well. They got all flavours exactly right. Unfortunately couldn’t try the thali experience as I was on my own and it’s meant to be shared. So do come in groups to get the best experience as it’s expensive on your own. Otherwise service and staff were great. Would definitely visit again.

Think this was my 5th time visiting and every time the experience has been top draw. We end up ordering almost everything off the menu, that's how good everything is! The paneer is some of the best I've had. The lamb chops are cooked to perfection, with just enough charred flavour it doesn't overpower the perfect spice blend! And the lamb/beef kebab roll is sensational, the pomegranate is a lovely touch to break from the richness of the meat. Service also is great, the waitress took great care, which was greatly appreciated! We were even treated to a birthday dessert which was a lovely surprise! Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

This place is a must visit! Staff was super friendly, the food was delicious especially the beetroot kebab and the lamp chops and a complete value for money. We paid £34 for a lot of food and creative dishes. Definately recommend. Give it a try!

Incredibly good food in a relaxed atmosphere. This was the best roast chicken I had in about 15 years! Do try their signature tandoori chicken. Absolutely lovely service, too, Kind & caring. I would give more than 5 stars if possible ♥️

Excellent vibes all around - love their decor and moodiness! Their food definitely has a kick to it 🌶️ MUST TRY: - Tandoor lamp chops - Tandoor rib eye - Butter chicken naan 👌 - Bone marrow naan 👌 - Black daal Can skip: - Tandoor grilled chicken: a bit on the dryer side - Onion rings: flavoured batter which is a nice surprise - Garlic naan: just simply too plain compared to the other naans there ALSO they don’t serve rice, so prepare for a naan and meat day. Overall great spot for good food & catch ups. Would recommend for a small group of 4-6 to share more food!

Delicious dishes throughout! I tried the fried cauliflower, meat skewers, chickpeas and honey chicken with Nan and I can recommend all of them, especially the chickpeas. Next time, I would additionally order something with more sauce to enjoy the Nan even more. I'm sure the waiters can recommend something suitable as they are well organised and friendly. Additionally, the kitchen works very quickly (15 minutes for all dishes on a Sunday evening at 8:30). I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't call the food super typical Indian. I think it's more adapted to the London palate (and also to the London wallet) but: still very spicy if you want and just delicious and absolutely recommendable. I had a lovely evening and would visit again 😻

Great Lamb chops but the 200ml Diet Coke bottles are criminal. What are you serving such mean small portions for drinks. I think it’s very easy to spend like £35-55 in the restaurant with service charge, two soft drinks and a main with a side. Don’t be so mean on soft drink sizes.

Nice restaurant, service was great. The food was lovely. I had their version of a ceaser salad with coronation chicken, the chicken was very succulent and there was plenty of it. I would definitely eat there again.

My brother came here last year and highly recommended this place. I don't like to always admit he is right, but he was.... on this occasion, at least! Not a single bad word to say about the food or customer service. Advice would be to ensure you book like he did as it was constantly busy although a weekday. The atmosphere was wonderful, but being me, I looked everywhere, and the ceilings especially could do with some love. More pics of food were taken, but he was acting camera shy so limited. My advice would be to try something you wouldn't usually order from an Indian restaurant, and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great place, best lamb chops I’ve had in my life, fully recommend getting them. They are a bit spicy but nothing too crazy and in combination with the house beer everything was great. We also had the large Caesar salad, which my girlfriend could not finish it, so we took it home with an extra naan bread and had the leftovers for breakfast, still held their taste pretty amazing. Besides the food, the location is easy accessible, restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming, staff were very nice and helped with everything. 10/10 would recommend for everyone especially if you never had tandoori or naan.

We had an absolutely AMAZING night with Julia and her fabulous team at Walkers of Whitehall. I can't sing their praises enough. We were a rowdy group of 34 and we booked the Downstairs Bar for our Annual Choir Dinner. We felt so looked after all night, the staff simply couldn't do enough for us. Julia answered all my questions super quickly and when there was a slight mix-up with the drinks packages on the group menu, she threw in two extra bottles of wine for free. The team thought of everything and even connected my iphone so we could have our own playlist. The food was EXCEPTIONAL and very good value for the price; I was particularly impressed by the beautifully cooked steak! The food was staggered by dish when brought out, but this was entirely expected for a group of our size and didn't detract from our night at all. I had brought four large number balloons and some other decorations and the staff very kindly agreed to dispose of them so I didn't have to worry. All in all it was a wonderful night for our group's Annual Dinner and in such an amazing location as well - and we loved the vaulted bar. Everybody who came said to me how brilliant a venue it was. I will definitely be coming back! THANK YOU to all at Walkers for a fantastic night.

Decent food but can do better. 1 curry and rice/biryani could be added in mighty Thali. Smoked pineapple is not a desert, please change this for sure
