I do not normally give five star ratings for a restaurant but tredwells deserves it. Everything here was perfect all the way from the starters to the dessert. Not much to comment come and see it for yourself for the michelin green guide restaurant that makes sustainable food. Everything was perfect. Extremely recommended and i would love to go back here again anytime soon.

Unbelievably disappointed. Completely misled by the Marcus Wareing website that he owned the place - staff and food confirmed he didn’t. I’ve had better food in a west end kebab shop at 3am, so bad it is beyond words. Marcus - you’re a con man mate. Tredwells - shame on you for serving up such diabolical food.

A truly delightful place that has a great atmosphere, not overly loud so you can hear the conversations you’re having. Clean, tidy and the lighting is warming and welcoming. Staff very attentive but not overly so. A good amount of vegan plant based options that are exceptionally satisfying and tasty. Well presented food and not a particularly long wait, even tho the place was busy. Will be back for sure.

The Food Standards Agency rated Tredwells 4 out of 5 in January 2019, so overall fine. We arrived for a date night on Friday evening and were seated in a comfortable booth. The restaurant offers a nice amount of intimacy as tables are spaced out well and the level of music was thankfully low enough to make having a conversation easy. We went for two set menus, muscles, fish and ice cream and carrots, steak and doughnut .. obviously those are the simplified names ! The presentation and taste were lovely and the steak especially good, compared to my usual steak restaurants. Service was very attentive too. Overall a faultless dinner

Visited Tredwells today and was thoroughly impressed by the food and service. I had the 5 course, plant based tasting menu which was exquisite! Really creative dishes and the perfect portion sizes. The service was excellent and just the right level of attentiveness. Couldn't fault any part of the evening. Highly recommend a visit.

The 3 course set menu and cocktail was great value for £29! Food was well presented and staff were very attentive. The soft serve salted caramel with honeycomb is a must!

Amazing service. Staff is excellent. Ambiance is lovely - fine dining meets cozy meets romantic. Food was medium - nothing mind blowing. Only negative was we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation. Recommendations: Whiskey sour Port Halibut with truffles Sourdough Polenta fries Mac n cheese

Had lunch here as a surprise for my birthday. Quiet when we were there. Good food with unrushed service. Reasonable prices as well. Would definitely visit again.

Ate here utilising the OpenTable 3 courses with a cocktail for £29 offer, and it was such good value for money, even when buying vegetables and choosing steak at an additional cost. Came away completely full and sated after absolutely delicious food for every course: a sweetcorn mousse starter, pork main, and ginger cake for dessert. Wine list is pricey, but it is central London and it seems unfair to critise this when the food is so reasonable. Obviously their regular menu is more expensive. Decor is stylish. Service was friendly, but not always consistent. Again, seems churlish to complain.

Amazing experience from the first step in. Food was delicious delicious and service extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Prices a little bit on the high end but all so worth it. Venison and scallops were definitely stars of the day for me however all the sides we've tried weren't any way worst. If you like sour taste, make sure you try gin and tonic cheesecake for your desert. I'm told that caramel afogato is also delicious. Definitely recommend the experience.

We dined on the set menu at Tredwells and it was a real mix bag! We were a few minutes early for our reservation and were taken upstairs to the bar area to have a drink and wait for our table. A lovely cozy area for guests to grab a quick drink which was pleasant. Our table was downstairs and the decor of the restaurant was fabulous! You wouldn't miss any windows as it was very elegant and a charming space to dine. The food was adequate, nothing really special, but nothing to complain about. Probably on the higher price point for what you get, but apart from that it was tasty, hit the spot but not spectacular. The problems we had were not with the food but with the mixed quality of staff. There is an air of snobbery among some of the waiting staff, i do hasten to add not all. But as 2 couples in their late 30s we got a vibe of abruptness and rudeness by one of the waiting staff. It wasn't peak dining time (5pm) but the restaurant was still quite busy, so it must be quite popular! The lady that initiated conversation and made us feel welcome was pleasant and very helpful. However when the gentleman came over to offer us an option of drinks we couldn't say the same. Our three course meal came with a complimentary drink. It was a gin based drink. Unfortunately 3 out of the 4 guests requested if it could be substituted for another spirit or even a soft drink due to preference. the rest of the ingredients to be the same, just a change in spirit, to Vodka - which is comparative in price. There was absolutely no budging. Even a request of a substitution to a non alcoholic drink was greeted with animosity and rudeness and subsequently all our dishes were slammed on the table, eye contacted avoided incase we tried to get their attention and the service went drastically down hill. I won't be returning in a hurry unfortunately. The food was decent, but the staff left a real bitter taste in our mouths.

What a great experience. Lovely food with a no rush friendly attentive service. I must say the service we received in Tredwells was the best I have received in the UK, especially the young Italian waiter who was very knowledgable and friendly and even went with my kids to help them "make" their own dessert. Fantastic. We had quite a few items off the A La Carte Menu as you can see in the photos and they were lovely.

Amazing service and great ambience. Solid starter and main offerings (the duck and hanger steak were both tasty and tender: see pictures), but the highlight for me was dessert: the chouxnut (pictured) and the caramel ice-cream dish were mind-blowing! Probably slightly too expensive for the mains, which is the only reason it's not a 5 from me.

Booked a pre theatre table and couldn’t recommend highly enough. The staff were all lovely and recognised the fact we had time constraints without prompting. The service was therefore really punctual but still relaxed. The restaurant itself is finished beautifully and though we were early still had a nice buzz about it. Finally, and not to be forgotten, the food itself was stunning. The hanger steak on their set menu is certainly worth the premium! Made for a lovely start to our evening, thank you!

We had a business dinner at this restaurant and it was an excellent choice. Atmosphere and service were top notch and everyone seemed to love their food choices. I had a prawn appetizer, steak dinner, and chocolate toffee cake for dessert. Highly recommend it!

Had the tasting menu. Not the best. Staff were nice, but couldn't tell us much about one of the courses. The cod cheek was so oversalted we sent it back (first time doing that ever). The lamb was also seriously oversalted but edible. Otherwise I'd say the place is good value given it has a 50 pound tasting menu. The place itself is nice and we enjoyed the wine. The manager was cool about us sending a course back and sorted us out, so I'm grateful for that. This place could be great value for money, if only the chefs tasted the food and the staff were a little more clued up

Tasty, interesting and thoughtfully sourced food. Lots of plant based and non plant based options. Service was friendly and attentive, in a genuine and not overbearing way. Made our wedding anniversary really special.

Great atmosphere, funky vibe, not too rammed. Plenty of space and good lighting. Food was tasty and in places really good, but some of the dishes missed the mark. A bit inconsistent. For example, my lamb main was cooked to perfection and really tasty, but the starter was weirdly thin and the dessert was stodgy. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars but 4 stars was too high given how much money we spent.

Food was good but the overall service and attitude of the waitress was horrible. While the menu states that there is free flowing sides, we were straight up denied the sides by the waitress as she states that the 'kitchen is closed', when we only requested it not long after we had our mains. Most certainly the kitchen isn't closed as we still have our desserts to serve, moreover we were only given the booking slot of 3:30p.m which the kitchen and service should have catered for this time in estimating when the kitchen should be 'closed' - we were not told anything about the kitchen closing when they served our food. Not even a single apology from the waitress. Definitely not the kind of service you would expect matches the 3 £££ signs on Google. We overall also felt pressured from the waitress, her attitude ruined an otherwise good roast experience. We left feeling quite unsatisfied and will not come again given the horrible service we received.

Classy atmosphere, ideal for a date, excellent vegan tasting menu and fantastic service! Only downside: portion for the vegan tasting menu are a little small considering that veggies are not as filling as meat/fish can be.

expected much more for the price. We went on a quiet Monday evening, and two courses and a bottle of wine can to around £60 per head. The starter, whilst visually appealing came out cold. The broth, while flavourful, was lacking in quantity to give you consistent mouthfuls together. The dumpling was chewy, with the folds having a similar texture to cardboard whilst the filling was under seasoned. The main course saved the meal, the duck was cooked well (I would have preferred it to be a bit more pink, and the combination with the pumpkin purée was spot on.

    Absolutely delicious food

  • 1/5 Tall P. 4 years ago on Google
Do not bother! The starter was ok. Main was bland and a bit overcook dry. A dessert advertised as affogato - Italian coffee based dessert by definition - is somehow coffee-free unless one pays £5!!!! Extra for a shot of coffee on top of the £5 scoop of ice cream. These guys are jokers. Seriously, avoid. There are much better restaurants around that have significantly better customer service.

Interesting food well cooked and in a nice atmosphere. Good value on the pretheatre menu. The chargrilled prawns and Jerusalem artichokes was a nice combination and the hake with lentils was a decent size; the fish had a really nice aromatic flavour I'm still trying to place

We visited for our wedding anniversary while we were in London. We walked past it twice before realising we were in the right place. Service was exceptional, our female waiter was friendly, while remaining professional & suggested a wine she thought we’d like, after my husband told her he prefers northern Spanish wines. My food was good, I enjoyed every mouthful. My husband wasn’t blown away by his food, although he did enjoy it. I’d definitely visit again next time we are in London

It was nice, my first time coming her, but we were placed downstairs and there were a few children who were noisy. The Sunday lunch was nice, I had the pork but the roast potatoes were really hard and the Yorkshire pudding was dry..it was cooked for too long. The staff were lovely though and I got extra gravy when asked for it. I would have given a 4 star if the roast was nice for my friends. The beef they got was so thinly sliced it was as if they were given the end of the joint... The caramel ice cream with honeycomb was delicious, very creamy. Overall a lovely restaurant but I hope that the roast dinner is better next time it was such great value for money as well.

  • 4/5 L G. 4 years ago on Google
Arrived 15 mins before table booking, agreed with reception that we'd wait at the bar, told them where we'd be. Then they forgot about us for the next 30 mins despite walking past us several times taking other people to their tables. When I reminded them that we were still waiting, it then took another 15 mins to get us a table. When they did, it wasn't a good table and although we got a complimentary glass of prosecco each, but it didn't make up for the huge delay in getting us seated. Very disappointing as it was a special occasion.

  • 5/5 R S. 3 years ago on Google
The staff are really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I felt safe eating in there with masks being worn by staff etc. The food was amazing both meat and vegetarian. It was good to have some different creative and flavourful vegetarian options which are so lacking in many restaurants. Only tiny thing that could be improved is serving the desert in a bowl that is not so hot and having some paper lining or something so the pudding isn’t half stuck to the bowl that’s too hot to scrap from. It’s too yummy to waste a crumb.
