We
dined
on
the
set
menu
at
Tredwells
and
it
was
a
real
mix
bag!
We
were
a
few
minutes
early
for
our
reservation
and
were
taken
upstairs
to
the
bar
area
to
have
a
drink
and
wait
for
our
table.
A
lovely
cozy
area
for
guests
to
grab
a
quick
drink
which
was
pleasant.
Our
table
was
downstairs
and
the
decor
of
the
restaurant
was
fabulous!
You
wouldn't
miss
any
windows
as
it
was
very
elegant
and
a
charming
space
to
dine.
The
food
was
adequate,
nothing
really
special,
but
nothing
to
complain
about.
Probably
on
the
higher
price
point
for
what
you
get,
but
apart
from
that
it
was
tasty,
hit
the
spot
but
not
spectacular.
The
problems
we
had
were
not
with
the
food
but
with
the
mixed
quality
of
staff.
There
is
an
air
of
snobbery
among
some
of
the
waiting
staff,
i
do
hasten
to
add
not
all.
But
as
2
couples
in
their
late
30s
we
got
a
vibe
of
abruptness
and
rudeness
by
one
of
the
waiting
staff.
It
wasn't
peak
dining
time
(5pm)
but
the
restaurant
was
still
quite
busy,
so
it
must
be
quite
popular!
The
lady
that
initiated
conversation
and
made
us
feel
welcome
was
pleasant
and
very
helpful.
However
when
the
gentleman
came
over
to
offer
us
an
option
of
drinks
we
couldn't
say
the
same.
Our
three
course
meal
came
with
a
complimentary
drink.
It
was
a
gin
based
drink.
Unfortunately
3
out
of
the
4
guests
requested
if
it
could
be
substituted
for
another
spirit
or
even
a
soft
drink
due
to
preference.
the
rest
of
the
ingredients
to
be
the
same,
just
a
change
in
spirit,
to
Vodka
-
which
is
comparative
in
price.
There
was
absolutely
no
budging.
Even
a
request
of
a
substitution
to
a
non
alcoholic
drink
was
greeted
with
animosity
and
rudeness
and
subsequently
all
our
dishes
were
slammed
on
the
table,
eye
contacted
avoided
incase
we
tried
to
get
their
attention
and
the
service
went
drastically
down
hill.
I
won't
be
returning
in
a
hurry
unfortunately.
The
food
was
decent,
but
the
staff
left
a
real
bitter
taste
in
our
mouths.
