Personally, I stay in hostels a lot. This is unfortunate one of those I did not like. The main reason, they have bed bugs. I hadn't slept for 3 night while I was there. They also have a regular group of people who are always there, personally i found some of them just annoying. If not for the bed bugs, I don't think I'd have had much problem, then again I was the only one who had the bug issue. Probably my bad luck.

Stayed for multiple nights at the hostel. Booked a bed in 10 bedroom dorm, and got one in a 6 bedroom, which was really nice. The staff is friendly and a cozy vibe in the lobby/lounge area, where I had a lot of small talks with other guests. I have seen everyday the cleaning people and at the end we asked for a later check out, which was absolutely no problem. Overall really nice stay :)

The staff was super friendly, breakfast was rather basic but also very tasty, the location is quite good. Issues: no privacy in upper beds, very little space to put personal items, locker could be easily opened when locked, showers often busy and not that clean, possible bed bugs (not confirmed)

Best hostel in Mumbai. People there treat you like family, place is cleaned daily, cleanliness was never the issue, breakfast is really good.

By far the best hostel in Mumbai. Fabulous location, great maintenance and clean washrooms alongwith a filling breakfast that changes every single day to help people meet India at her best are highlights. The atmosphere is friendly, conivivial and the setting is absolutely charming For me though, the biggest thing was the phenomenal team, the warmth and hospitality that you receive as soon as you set foot into the hostel and how soothed you feel. Abul, Yaseen Bhai, Salim Bhai, Ali Bhai & Juli all make you feel that they're genuinely happy to have you, they help solve the little problems of settling in and go that extra mile with a happy smile. Truly putting forth India's most welcoming face for all their guests. The personal attention everyone gets from the hosts is the icing on the cake I'll be back!!

Had great expectations. Have stayed in hostels all over India. But this was too congested. The rooms were too congested. Felt they had fit in too many beds to accommodate. The sit out area is pretty nice but unfortunately for someone who is a non-smoker, the place is a choker. There is a dedicated area for smoking but who really cares? The authorities could have done something about this. Had no other option but to stay. Pretty suffocating experience though. Bathrooms are okay. Hygiene with cloths is an issue. Very little space for luggages. And Mumbai is hot, you cant just turn off AC in the morning. Have a mixed feeling about this place. Especially with the amount of smoking that is let happen in the premise is really unimpressive! Cheers.

It was a great stay barring few red flags. Pros: 1. The location is great 2. The washrooms were great and clean 3. The bed also was very good with your own charging point and locker 4. The ambience outside looks great and would be a great Party spot for groups Cons: 1. In the Morning there was no water. Maybe I was in wrong timing but definitely affected my experience 2. The breakfast was not good and the Eggs were supposed to be cooked by ourselves it seems. Good to set your expectations here

Incredible place, don’t have a bad word to say about the hostel. The staff are friendly and will help with anything, such as trouble with booking train tickets and where to eat out. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of coffee and good vibes. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mumbai.

The place is really great. Very good people. Good location. Washrooms are clean and good which i feel is one of the most important thing for me. Very kind and helpful staff. Really good place to stay. people are quite chill, friendly and open minded.People do smoke in the common open area which can be fine for everybody but as i have asthama so it kinda bothers me. Rest this place is awesome. I would still visit again. ❤️

Had a great experience at this hostel! It was very social, they offer a nice breakfast and the manager was super nice! It would be really nice if they offered organised tours and activities in Mumbai. And the one thing that really bothered me was that during my stay they put security cameras inside the dorm rooms and they didn’t even notify the guests about it! Talk about zero privacy….

The place was recommended to us by a fellow traveller in Jaipur. The hostel is nicely located in the hip neighborhood.Bandra West. Here you can find all kind of food and a nice beach promenade just around the corner. The hostel has a large lounge area outside which is very nice and where you will also be able to enjoy the free breakfast. Two reasons why I only give 3 stars here: the toilet/shower situation. There are 3 toilets which also serve as showers. In the morning, if you are unlucky you have to wait for quite a while to be able to go to the toilet or shower. Also, the floor will be also wet. Secondly, and for me much worse is the room. Air condition is set on a very low temperature, and there are extremely loud fans at max speed. When we arrived, the AC was leaking so the floor was also wet. Hence, if you're sensible to sounds or extremely cold and dry air, this is not the place to stay....

Title: Mixed Experience - Average Rooms, Unfortunate Theft Rating: ★★☆☆☆ Review: My recent stay at this place left me with mixed feelings. While the rooms were decent overall, one unfortunate incident tainted my experience. The rooms were okay, providing the basic amenities expected of a standard dorm room. The beds were okay, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. However, the decor felt a bit outdated, and the overall ambiance lacked a touch. Unfortunately, during my stay, I encountered a significant setback when my footwear was stolen. This incident was distressing and greatly affected my overall perception of this place. The management was notified immediately, and while they expressed concern, there were no clue were the fudge it went. It left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. In light of this incident, I strongly advise fellow guests to consider carrying a footwear bag to protect their expensive shoes. Losing or having them stolen not only means a financial loss but also leaves you without suitable footwear, which can significantly impact your travel experience. On the positive side, the staff members were generally polite and helpful, responding promptly to any inquiries or requests. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation options. In conclusion, while the rooms were average and the staff displayed courtesy, the unfortunate incident of my stolen footwear overshadowed my experience. I hope they take appropriate measures to enhance security in the future to prevent such incidents from occurring again.

Everything you need and more…I stayed with them 3 years ago. Back in the days I just booked one night and then I got really sick but the hostel was fully booked. Somehow they managed to let me stay longer. They took amazing care of me. So this year I went again and felt home from the beginning. Abul & Yasinsangrar are THE BEST! They helped me with everything but in general everyone is really nice and caring. The location is perfect and you can easily reach other places. Beach is walking distance. And I felt really safe. Thank you so so much!!!

Namastey Mumbai Backpackers is a good choice for a place to stay in Mumbai. The staff were very helpful with any queries we had, the common areas were nicely decorated and the people staying were all very sociable. Breakfast was included with the possibility to go for seconds and thirds, which was a plus. The rooms were as advertised and the A/C was a lifesaver in Mumbai’s heat.

Comfortable Stay with a Few Drawbacks I recently stayed at Namaste Mumbai Backpackers Hostel during my visit to Mumbai. The location was convenient, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hostel had a pleasant sitting area where guests could relax and socialize. The washrooms were well-maintained and kept clean throughout my stay, which was a huge plus. However, I must admit that the dormitory hall was quite congested. The beds were placed too close to each other, leaving little space to move around freely. It felt a bit cramped and challenging to find privacy within the shared dorms. I would suggest the management to consider rearranging the beds or reducing the number of beds in each dormitory to improve the overall comfort of the guests. Despite the congestion, the hostel's atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with fellow travelers sharing their experiences and stories. The sitting area provided an excellent space to interact with other guests, and it was a great way to make new friends from different parts of the world. If you prioritize cleanliness and don't mind the close quarters in the dormitories, Namaste Mumbai Backpackers Hostel can be a suitable option for budget travelers looking for a sociable and well-maintained place to stay in Mumbai.

Overall disappointing. Tight and smelly rooms. Toilets were not cleaned often enough. Some guests were noisy and inconsiderate in the middle of the night and there is nothing you can do about it. Was planning to stay longer but decided to move out to another hostel.

Good for the price. Nice owner with nice staff. The fan was very loud in my room and I had no bed curtain, but in all honesty I didn't care. The beds seemed clean.

This hostel has been my favorite hostel ever! Employees were so helpful and kind. The common strand are really cool and I met amazing people! Breakfast is nice, always a different Indian dish, and the basics like cereal and eggs. I had the time of my life. Also Bandra is such an amazing neighborhood, lots of trees, well connected to the city, markets, restaurants and all. Very safe zone. Internet connection in the common areas was perfect, not excellent in my bed but still worked. They don’t have laundry in the hostel but there is service of laundry. 100% would recommend this hostel.

My stay at Namastey Mumbai was fabulous. The hospitality of the owner and the staff is excellent. Loved the home cooked complimentary breakfast before rushing to my morning sessions, that made it very comfortable to get a kick start for my mornings there. Had an amazing time here and hoping to come back and stay here super soon. All the inmates were super nice as well and that’s how i made great friends too. Thanks a lot Namastey Mumbai.

This was my second time here. Place is right in the middle of night party area. Bandstand and Carter road is 10mins by auto. Sleeping area is very clean. Bed is quiet good for a 6 ft tall guy like me. Price also very cheap if u see the location.

Living in a oldest heritage home converted into a beautiful hostel in the heart of the city, meeting some amazing people, making friends.. Words fall short to describe the last few days.. Abul has been the kindest host making sure i felt most comfortable since the time i arrived. Mr Panjwani is the mad you'd want to sip coffee and discuss life, business, politics, food literally anything under the sun. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. The feeling of I'm home is what you feel when you arrive at Namastey Backpackers. Its a home away from home truly. I'm so grateful to have accidentally stumbled Upon this that i know for sure that when I'm in bombay next i will be here. Thank you. Oh and the complimentary breakfast is homemade and so delicious.. Good luck guys.

I had booked the place for 7 days initially as I had my own concerns about living in a hostel for the first time, but I ended up extending my stay for more than 20 days!❤️ It is the best place in Bandra if you're looking for a home-like ambience and people to live with. There is complimentary breakfast, regular cleaning, v pretty ambience and the best host ever (Abul)! He will take care of you as your family 🌻100% recommended 💯🥳
