Best place for science lovers, very informative! Systematically described each and everything! Must watch their odissy show ! This is one of the largest Science Centers in India with interactive science exhibits. The science center is very informative not only for children but also for adults! Dear people my advice to you is take your children's to this place instead of movies and all, this place is best to explore many science and its project , more practical approach is here to know how stuff works. A must visit place with children and adults alike. Lot of scientific laws in physics, atmosphere, liquids etc explained very well through games, consoles and apparatus. It has not only section on science, but also India's culture, human and animal history, nuclear science, sounds and music, a dome theater for various educational shows and a park. It better if you take a whole day for seeing the entire center. While returning back at night, we also got a chance to view planet Venus through one of the telescope which was operated by a lady, kind enough to let children get a glimpse of it. All in all a wonderful experience, in a nominal fee of Rs. 70 pp only. For any shows at the theater extra Rs. 75 pp. We need more such centers all over to spark interest in science for general public

There are many activities that can be loved by the children definitely but being an adult i personally felt bored & annoying. Basically if we want to enjoy the science centre there should be some decency but what I feel is very crowded & very annoying sometimes . Even if you are thinking of having lunch there the prices are very expensive with regards to taste & also quantity . Overall my experience is ok ok nothing extraordinary.

It was really wonderful, the whole day needed to visit here. Kids will love this. Around 1000 school students were here when we visited this place. So nice memories. Food is available in the basement. Cost 150 per person

Am excellent source of knowledge and a centre for dousing childrens' curiosity. It is also an excellent source of knowledge for the adults as well. The centre had an excellent and informative history display of modern India's history. You can buy scientific toys here. Make sure you don't miss the 3D show in the planetarium. It is indeed grand and breath taking. This is an excellent way to spend tonnes with your kids in a constructive way.

Awesome place. Some people confuse Nehru Science Centre with Nehru Planetarium, both are different places which are located nearby. Entry in garden doesn't require a ticket, for science centre, science Odyssey and 3d show ticket prices are different which is mentioned on their official website. Cafeteria inside the science centre is often crowded but there is a separate facility for lunch, breakfast and snacks outside the centre.

Best place to visit in the summer holiday with kids. You can spend full day and that also not sufficient to cover all. A must visit and for all age group, but specially for kids. You can enjoy and experiment with science. There is a basic entry ticket for outdoor and indoor science activity. In addition to that you can also attend amazing shows like Science Odyssey, Science on Sphere, High Voltage, Motion Simulator & 3d Show with additional ticket. There is a combo ticket available (4 members) for entry and all shows, which is cost less. Parking available inside with nominal charge. There is a nice open area with beautiful sitting arrangement for enjoying your own food. There is an indoor canteen where you can have your food with very nominal charge. It is recommended to reach by 9-9:30 AM, so that you can enjoy everything. Do not forget to take the show timing in advance in your ticket if you have opted for all shows.

Definitely the best place to introduce the basics of science in play to our kids and learn in a fun way. The science Odyssey where they showcase the Australian wildlife in a dome shaped theater is also a great enjoyment. A good time to visit is around 2 pm so as to have your rest of the day being spent here with your kids and later play in their garden with a few more experiments.

Lot of science experiments especially for kids aged 8-14. Things that they learn as part of their studies. We had gone on Sunday afternoon, it was moderately crowded. Tickets can be booked online. Some sections are not fully operational. The attraction is the musical instruments, our heritage. 'Science on a Sphere' is an excellent show worth going to, there is a separate ticket worth Rs. 50 and show schedule is every 30 minutes. 'Motion Sensor' is another attraction which draws a lot of crowd. It is a 5 minute ride but full of thrills The cafeteria serves basic food including cold drinks. Nothing exciting but given the tiredness a good choice. If one has food from home, they can have it in the lawns. Good time to spend 3-4 hours.

Any Science enthusiast person will fall in love with this place. This place has one of the best science exhibits that explains the day to day concepts in a very efficient way. Some exhibits explain concepts of science way better than any text book. Science centre is spacious and full of greenery.

Nehru Science Centre is one of the most iconic places of Mumbai city. It's a must visit place irrespective of your age. It's an encyclopedia of science. Also Nehru science centre conducts different exhibitions time to time. I had a privilege to witness very unique " Vintage Car Exhibition" organised at Nehru science centre between 15th march 2018 till 1st April 2018. It was very well organized and visitor's were allowed to take photos of cars with no extra fee. I can proudly say that I am one of those mumbaikar who witnessed oldest cars and motorcycles in this exhibition. I thank Nehru Science Centre for such a lovely event. Its a must visit destination of mumbai.

This is good for kids as a day visit if they interested in science. Good learning on each floor. The video show with Rs. 80 ticket is waste of time and money. There are very limited options for food so keep good food for kids with you. Car parking is allowed inside. This premises is separate from planetarium no connect. Kids enjoy here. Greenery and trees are good.

I visited the place with very limited time so was not able to cover all the zones. It was informative and if you are a science wizard and if you love to spend time in checking out science related things then this is the perfect place for you. You can spend entire day and gain vast knowledge about some important stuffs. So overall this is a good experience and I recommend this place if you love attention to detail and love doing science stuffs.

A lot of things have changed for our 90's generation to explore now. There is an greater technology and science and different perspective now for each and every educational device now. Why and how it works.. Much visit, even if you age like a fine wine there will always be a kid inside you who wants to have an experience of that 3D space tour... Let that kid play.

There are thousands of experiments working model there. All the basic concepts in science have been demonstrated very nicely in these experiments. It is very big 3 sroried building. Magic mirrors, bhulbhulaiya, models of dinosaur and ancient animals, all are fun to watch and enjoy. Fun learning concept is at its best. All the senses related experiments eyes, ears, touch, have been displayed in plenty. It takes at least 4-5 hours to go through all of them.

I would like to strongly recommend this place to all students to get new knowledge, teachers to change their thought process and shape teaching skills and all science enthusiasts to get enriched experience. I am thrilled to visit this place again, small disappointment because of Aerospace section was closed and still not open till today after COVID-19 outbreak.

Good place with nice exhibits for children's. 👍 Children's can learn basics and also about India's science history. However, many exhibits were not working or in maintenance mode. They need to improve overall place to match other more popular science centers.

It's a must visit if you are a lover of science! I visited this place last year and I must say this place is worth a visit because right after visiting this place, I gained a lot of knowledge which I didn't even receive back in school days. There are a lot of places inside to explore and there are a few pieces that you can take part and experience personally. Do take your kids who are in school here! Also, they have a separate section for animals like rabbits and birds. They have a very beautiful garden and showpieces like train, plane etc, a lot a statues of great figures of science. Kids out there.. Go visit! Also, it's a splendid experience for grown ups too because we get to recollect our golden days back in school.

There's an entrance fee. ♦️AMENITIES : you'll find many installments inside the 3 floor premises. You'll probably brush up on the various principles that govern various phenomenon. I recently visited the Nehru Science Center and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the knowledgeable and friendly staff who were eager to answer any questions I had. The exhibits were fascinating and interactive, making it a great learning experience for both children and adults. The center had a wide range of exhibits, from physics to biology, making it a great place to learn about various scientific fields. What I loved most about the center was the way it made science accessible and fun for everyone. The exhibits were designed in a way that made them easy to understand, even for those without a scientific background. Overall, I highly recommend the Nehru Science Center to anyone looking for an educational and enjoyable experience. It's a great place to learn about science and have fun at the same time.

Most exhibits don't work. There should some regular refurbishment and the learning should be holistic. The quizzes as well exhibits especially nuclear power are highly technical, official and show no sense of teaching the topic from top down for children. Make it interesting for the lay person.

Absolutely best place to visit with your child. School going children should must visit Nehru science center because there are so many experiments you can do on your own. One can learn so many things in just one visit. They showed us 3D film. It's kinda like having fun with science. You have to take one day off since Nehru science center is quite big and if you try all their activities then you can't see whole centre in jist one day. One should absolutely visit this place if he/she loves science.

Convenient to reach by train, bus as well as by car or bike. This has ample parking space available inside the centre. Beware of the parking scam outside the auditorium where some random people charge 100 Rupees or so. Parking is completely free inside. The shows are amazing, however check the timings beforehand. Tickets can be purchased online as well as at the counter. Even if the tickets are sold out on online website, you can easily get tickets at the counter upon reaching there.

It's a good place for young kids to visit. Interesting and quite interesting place for school kids. However, you have extremely crowded weekends. Very poor maintenance. Washrooms are extremely filthy. No air conditioning inside irrespective of high crowd. Not recommend on weekends and on public holidays. It needs immediate action form government authorities for maintenance and air conditioning system as young kids are visiting this place. I found this place very dirty and unhygienic.

Nehru Science Centre (NSC) is the largest interactive science centre in India. It is located in Worli, Mumbai. The centre is named after India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. In 1977, the centre started with the 'Light and Sight' exhibition, and then in 1979 a Science Park was built. On 11 November 1985 it was opened to the public by Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India.

Must visit place for science lovers irrespective of age. All children should visit here atleast once in their lifetime... you can spend a whole day here depending on your interest in science. Highlights include 1. Canteen facility 2. Play park related to science 3. Science odessey 4. 3d show 5. Motion simulator 6. 4 floor full of different museums like light and sound, artificial intelligence, motion, solar system, instruments of science, pre historic era collections etc 7. Enormous collection of working models and simulators The main challenge was that it was too crowded during my visit causing a lack of tickets to many attractions inside. And the thick crowd also decreased one's space 5o enjoy everything.

There are many things related to sound, human organs, light, reflection here we can see how science is fun and what are the invention. Formation of various languages. There is a sitting place to eat or rest. Which are pretty good but there was shortage of water. Enterance fee is 70₹ and for school students there is consolation for this you need to take letter from the school/college or university Please check for the date before 1week.

You and your children will definitely will have fun there. Try to go early in the morning so there will be less crowd. It will take your whole day if you take ticket of everything. There is a canteen also inside but the food is not good for the price 🫤. I would suggest to avoid going to science Odyssey it would be waste of time and money instead watch Interstellar movie at home.

Best place to take your kids to show science in action! I have been here 2-3 times, everytime I have been amazed by the experience. Actually if you want to see everything on display here, you need for spend 2 full days here. Apart from the science stuff on show, canteen us pretty basic, could do with more hygiene, and washrooms too. This by far is the best place in Mumbai to take kids.

In 1977, Nehru Science Centre, first conceived as a Science & Technology Museum in late sixties, took final shape as India's largest interactive science centre, to match the world trends in such public institutions. The centre opened its first semi-permanent exhibition `Light & Sight' in 1977 followed by the world's first ever Science Park in 1979, during the International Year of the child. On 11 November 1985 the full-fledged science centre was finally opened to public by the late Rajiv Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India. Nehru Science Centre, the largest Science Centre in the country has a sprawling 8 acres (32,000 m2) of science park with varieties of plants, trees and shrubs. More than 500 hands-on and interactive science exhibits on energy, sound, kinematics, mechanics, transport, etc. are installed in the park. The NSC building, with its unique architecture, houses several permanent science expositions on various theme.

As of now the centre is under maintenance, maybe because of COVID-19, half of the exhibits don't work. A lot of dusting is required, still giving it a three star as some of the exhibits are so old yet they manage to survive and work fine till date.

The government should preserve the heritage. I know a lot of people are not interested in this. People and especially the younger generation should take interest in science and what has to come.. I first visited this place in the year 2008 at that time the place was well maintained but my recent visit to this place in Dec 2020 was totally disappointing, few apparatus were broken and the missing it was dust on over the floor it seems as if this place was some kind of abandoned building now. I highly recommend them to maintain this place as this was one of most favourite places of all time.

Nehru science center is simply 3 star place to visit, it had ita charm but in 90's... If you look at the place with scientific view then it is good to view few of the basics of science concepts which is being taught in 8th grade, it has some collection of old steam rail engines models and few electric locomotive for viewing which is good to see once... But overall you can finish the whole center's visit within couple of hours, at the starting they show the dolfin show on planetarium kind of setup made at science center which is basically a small documentary film shot on dolfin fishes... Was good enough but rest of the stuff at the place are very very old and as is... Our government should really add up some new stuff in the centre to enhance it by all means. Nehru science center is simply one time worth visiting and that's it... Had visited there in my school days sometime in 1997 and after that had visited today... Could only see the difference was... Just the dolfin show which wad added up and rest all as i said above are all old...

It was an amazing experience here, had visited with my younger brother. All the shows are at reasonable rate and fun to watch! Science Odyssey show is all about Dolphins, Science on sphere is an exciting way of touring the solar system while 3D simulator is one of a kind of experience. Other than this, the major attraction here are the abundant information of Heritage, space, architecture, rockets, aviation, civilization, mathematics etc... Do visit and make your day productive!!!

Very informative place not only for kids but also for adults. This place has all the scientific modules which kids can relate to while going through it. They might have seen it in text books but here they will see an actual working model of it. It has a big (8X) sized heart which beats at the rate of an actual human heart and you could listen to it without using a doctor's stethoscope! Also it has mirror maze and 3D movie theatre among various fun things to do. It will take about 3-4 hours if you go through each and every section and read through description of each. Overall a fun and informative place for everyone.

Amazing science centre for kids as well as parents. It's huge, one day is not enough to cover all the sections. Must watch 3D show, oddyssey and science on sphere show. So many things to do and learn, not just for kids but adults too! Worth a visit for families, nice day to spend. Great space movies too. There's an option to buy tickets online, I would highly recommend to do that to avoid waiting in lines. And to carry your own food to avoid the crowds during weekend in the canteen.

  • 4/5 Maroof M. 6 months ago on Google
Had a great weekend at this place. Actually it's for kids but we had fun. I would not at all recommend you to buy tickets for Science Odyssey, it was very boring. I would have really enjoyed it if they talked about ISRO's establishment and achievements. The overall experience was good. It's a good learning experience for kids and has inspiring stories about Indian history and tells so much about science too.

Very beautiful and useful place, for both kids and adults. Parents must bring their children here to make them have interest in science!! A very amazing experience at reasonable prices! Best place to go with friends too! There are miniatures, weightliftings, playing gardens, etc, etc. Even a whole day was less for us 😭 Best time to visit: kind of around 10-12. PS: Also there is a fun mirror maze don't forget to enjoy that. The 3 shows: sos, 3d, and specially Odyssey is a must watch show !!!!! Don't miss them.

  • 3/5 Alex M. 5 months ago on Google
A very mid place now, seemingly packed to the capacity almst everyday... a place for viewing science exhibitions containing informative or practical experiments, concepts etc. This place is essentially targeted to the young ones of our generation to get them interested in the sciences but this idea might be lost on most... you would need a person who has a working understanding of science to explain as everyone I saw was jst blatantly pressing buttons clicking, hitting things to make the exhibitions run without any knowledge or understanding (this goes for both the adults and teenagers moving around) Without any understanding or proper explaining this place is just lost on majority of the crowd as something fancy thing that you press and it works = science. important note: book your tickets and parking online, the mgmt is very bad and it's chaos for booking tickets.
