Madras Dairies in Bandra West is a very good option for South Indian food lovers and it opens earlier than other restaurants. The location of the restaurant is also decent and you can get parking in the nearby lanes. We tried the Thatte Idli, Mini Podi Idli, Paper Dosa and Mixed vegetable Uttapam with Filter coffee. All of this paired with the ambiance gives you an amazing vibe All of these items very really good, the service was fast. My favorite being Mini Podi Idli. Definitely a recommendation from our side 😊

One of those days when you spend ages scrolling for lunch ideas and then decide to return to the last place to check if it was/ is as good as it was on the previous visit. I am pleased to report it was excellent. I had the Kodi Dosa, very simple dosa with a thick layer of podi (no potato masala) and I also had the Bel Bhat which is a vegetable curry cooked with the rice.

The size of Idli and Medu vada are small and not worth the cost they charge. It’s very expensive. Also they add ghee in sambar., so it’s not Vegan. The outlet is small and the service is slow. The chutney is very watery and also tasteless. The malgapodi was perfect with oil. The dosa was big but not worth the price they charge. Not Recomended it’s better to have South Indian at Matunga.

If you want to have a lavish South Indian spread for breakfast/brunch/lunch then this is the correct place for you! A must try on any and every dish, Medu vada and uttapam to be precise. The best part is each food served is with a range of chutneys that would suit for different taste buds. Absolutely loved the chutneys and the entire combination. Vibes are very relaxing and the best part is the location is so prime and accessible. Taste is desirable. Service is excellent.

Looking for fulfilling South Indian food? then you must try and call for food from Madras diaries. Absolutely delicious. I tried: Paneer Chettinad dosa: Spicy and Tasty, it was medium crispy even after a delivery service. Its impressive that the packaging where they pack the dosa is so thought out. They pack separately the dosa in butter paper and the filling is put in a separate silver hot bag. Thus the dosa was not soggy when it came in delivery. Onion rava dosa: finely diced onion in my dosa with no tomatoes (I don't like tomato is in onion dosa) and that just amplified the taste from average to excellent. The rava dosa had a beautiful netted pattern and quite frankly I was impressed that he could get it so thin. I enjoyed it with coconut chutney and sambar which was also sent with both my orders. All-in-all Madras diaries is a great South Indian food spot and is definitely something that is on my Mumbai yummy list

Visited the place to taste some South Indian food. Ordered Idli Platter and Sandwich Dosa. Both of them were very mediocre. The chutneys were cold and taste was below par. Best thing is the menu booklet which was designed with a taste. Food has no taste.

Visited this amazing South Indian place 2 days back and I'm absolutely in love their food. The place really gives that South Indian feels with the ambience that they've maintained. The food we ordered here was absolutely up to the mark. Loved the taste. We ordered: • Filter Coffee (4/5): Really good filter coffee! You really can't miss out on a filter coffee when you visit a South Indian place. • Dosa Sandwich (5/5): Yum yumm!!! This one I highly recommend y'all to try. Absolutely filling on tummy and really loved the cheese potato filling with veggies as well. • Cheese Jalapeno Idli (4/5): Super crispy fried mini idlis to go with cheese sauce. It was a bit on the oily side though. Something different that you must try here. • Rava Biscuits (4/5): Rava dosa stuffed with onion, capsicum & cheese and cut in rectangle biscuit-like shape. Went well with sambhar & chutney. This place is a must visit if you're ever in mood to have some delicious South Indian food😋

Madras Dairies elevates your local South Indian delicacies to a fine dining experience giving the most comfortable taste to the dishes. Madras Diaries is located at Linking Road Bandra you may spot the place from its live counter right next to the entrance. The restaurant is designed to make you feel at home with their furnished interiors and simple colors giving a relaxing vibe. The food menu here depicts the entire culture of southern India relating to the food dishes on the menu. There are some authentic South Indian Dishes along with simple Modern Indian fusions that are decently priced with a good quantity. Tahttu Idli and Bisi-Bele-Godhi are two dishes you wouldn't want to leave here without tasting. Tahttu Idli is one giant Idli with Podi powder and ghee spread on top. The soft mushy taste with hot Idli and spicy buttery flavor of body powder. Bisi-Bele-Godhi is nothing but Bisi Bele Bhat, a south Indian rice dish full of flavor, spice, and comfort. Have it hot you'll love it even more. Paneer Chettinad Dosa and Mushroom Chettinad Curry with Malabari Parrotta is a hot and spicy combination yet full of flavor and deliciousness. The curry and Malabari parrota were more liked by me. Madras Dairies gives you a home-like fine dining experience with south Indian delicacies elevated with comfort and flavor. This one place is completely value for your money!

South India cuisine are best !! Health wise taste wise and can be hogged any time of the day. We visited this aesthetic restaurant at bandra hill road. Looks amazing and pretty. What we tried: 1. Masala uttapam : this was super soft and loaded with podi (gun powder). It was amazing. 2. Mysore Masala dosa : crispy and so so good. Highly recommended. They serve other 4 chutneys like pineapple, ,,, and they just amazingly mark the difference. 3. Veg stew with appam : Stew is a coconut based gravy loaded with veggies. It's mildly sweet. If one is a fan of thai food, they will enjoy this. 4. Chettinad paneer with flaky wheat parotthas : this is spicy and paneer was too good. Gravy was decent but this can be skipped. Follow @dieeating for more such amazing food reviews around you !!

Madras Diaries is my to go place when it comes to ordering South Indian food for a quick snack. Not only that long list of choices, good quantity and quality as well, quick preparation time and great offers on Zomato sums up this place in a jiffy. Cotton soft Appam with Coconut Stew is my personal favourite. Their stew preparation is so yum, everything you would want in a flavourful South Indian experience. Also they have good range of Dosas and Uthappams, don't forget to try each one of them too. Thank You Madras Diaries for such a delightful experience, always. Personally, you guys have earned a core memory in my mind for the food you serve and it is something I cannot deny.

The place promised to be a haven for south lndian cuisine lovers. Somehow, wasn't really satisfied with the food served. The menu was extensive. I ordered a thali. Disappointed that 2 of the servings were of paneer and mushroom gravies. Come on, couldn't l have eaten such stuff anywhere else too? The aroma of tantalizing Sambhar and rasam was missing too. Compensated to some extent by a good ambience and service. Left yearning for cuisine that is authentic and in sync with what the restaurant is about.

cute restaurant with fresh food and excellent Bowls. Layout is simple. We have to climb a flight of stairs and an unassuming door opens up to this cute little restaurant. Service is excellent and the staff are super friendly and prompt. Food is fresh they have some fantastic salads and their bowls can easily be shared by two people.

I have had one of the best ever south Indian food in Mumbai, Thanks to the chef for keeping it authentic and classy at the same time. We ordered for: Red rice appam: This was something I haven't tried before and It came with stew which was super rich in flavours with loaded vegetables. It was light on stomach and yummazing for soul. Stew is highly recommended from the place. Vada Rasam: 4 to 5 Vada came with generous amount of Rasam. Quality and quantity were totally justifying the price However I already had better Rasam in the past. It was low on spices and little more sour then what was required. Chettinad Paneer parotta: This was the best and complete package. 2 big sized parotta came with Chettinad paneer which was spicy gravy with most succulent paneer you can ask for!! Paneer quantity was extremely generous and I could see that in every bite. Idli platter: In case you love to experiment with your food then this is something every Idli lovers must try. Total 4 big sized idli arrived with Sambhar and chutney. Chutney out here was lil different in look and taste. Sambhar wasn't over of spices and overall had a great flavours. This place totally turned out unexpectedly so well!! Really looking forward to order again!!

Tried the paneer uttapam and it was nice. It had a nice thickness with lots of stuffing. They also sent stuffing seperately which was much appreciated. The sambar was yum. I loved it. But the coconut chutney stole the show. Absolutely authentic and exoticly South Indian. We also called for paneer Chettinad dosa which was superb. Really like the food and this was good for brunch

Located in the heart of Bandra.. A small boutique south Indian restaurant which offers a nice ambience to sit and dine. Food quality and serving portion sare better than the average south Indian restaurant. Service quality could be better as I noticed some gaps in order taking and waiting time.. Overall food prices are on the higher side in comparison to the food and experience. There is no parking facility.. so if travelling by car, park your car on the roadside areas at your own risk..

This is the end of ur search in case you looking for authentic south indian delicacy keeping all the hygiene mind. We recently ordered below items and it couldn't get any better, Thanks to the chef for outstanding work and packaging was done to perfection. Red rice appam: 2 big sized appam came in banana leaf along with stew and I have never tasted something as yumm as this in South Indian restaurant. stew was super rich with coconut milk added on point. Red rice appam was something I had never tasted and it made me go "o- lala" Idli platter: Total 4 big sized idli came with sambhar and chutney. Raagi idli was the star out of all. Imagine ordering the healthiest yet tasty food from out without compromising on taste. I would highly Highly recommend this to everyone. Stew should me must order from the list in case you are coconut milk fan!

We found this place so great on ambiance. Two different kinda sitting areas. Really loved the decor. We were here for a hurried meal & ordered their Idli platter which came with 4 different kinds of idlis & all of them tasted good. Next was Paneer Uttapam which tasted so delicious. We love their sambar taste a lot too. Good vibes great place & delicious food. We are coming back again for a more relaxed meal. For more on Food follow us on Insta @foodieklix

I loved the dosa although it was a bit cold even though it took some time to get it. I swapped the sambhar with rasam and it was a good choice. I liked the rasam with its good sour flavours. They provide a variety of different which is the main highlight. There is one that would suit everyone's taste and I enjoyed it. It is a good 1 time visit. All in all, great. 3.5/5

Madras Diaries is a best south indian restaurant which offers native south indian food options. I visited thier bandra west outlet with friend , its nearby Bandra station. We had 1. Paneer utthappam - It was mouthwatering….. its basically utthappam covered with thick layer of paneer bhaji with variaties of chutneys and sambhar. 2. Dosa - Ordered their special dosa… its was stuffed with potato bhaji…. quantity was good 3. Thatte Idali - wanted to try this dish….. the aroma of ghee was mouthwatering…. also they used some masala on it… must try this 4. Pineapple shira - don’t get full… keep some space for their desserts as well…. taste was unique and temping They use banana leaf for serving the dishes… that was quite attractive.

Madras Diaries a place located in bandra reading for the name you probably have guessed it yes it's a South Indian basic restaurant where you will get variety of idle, dosa and Vada XD no actual they have alot more then that menus is quite big so I have try out those 👇 😋Uthappam Platter - You get 3 different uthapa which was good. 😋Dosa Sandwich (recommended) - Dosa was great hard and crips outside and delicious masala inside personal i love it. 😋Chees Chili Jalaeno Idli In Masla Fondu - if you are looking for something different to eat in idle best to go with you get samll fried crispy idle was so crisp that you wouldn't need chatani to eat. 😋Oreo Milkshake - it was your average oreao shake smooth yummy and tasty. Overall place is nice ambience is based on South Indian style it has a/c room or out door seating both at great. Services was quick and food was tasty if you are looking for a South Indian restaurant in bandra it good to go.
