Fort
in
South
Mumbai
has
been
a
difficult
place
to
crack
for
a
lot
of
restaurants,
with
a
lot
of
places
open
and
shut!
However
if
a
place
has
been
there
for
more
than
7
years
there,
it
just
talks
loads
about
how
successful
it
has
been
there
and
1
such
place
is
Paratha
Mantra!
The
place
has
been
relocated
from
its
original
place
where
it
was
since
more
than
6
years,
but
you
can
locate
this
easily
on
your
maps!
As
the
name
suggests,
the
place
specialises
in
Parathas.
Run
by
a
Marwari
family
special
emphasise
has
been
given
to
Jains
also
in
this
all
veg
restaurant.
You
have
a
complete
separate
menu
and
not
just
a
separate
section
which
is
quite
unique.
The
Fort
outlet
is
the
flagship
outlet
where
as
one
at
Lalbaug
is
a
franchisee,
managed
by
a
centralised
kitchen
in
South
Mumbai.
Paratha
Mantra
is
a
well
known
brand
for
catering
as
well.
They
take
party
orders
and
also
power
live
paratha
counters
of
some
wedding
caterers.
They
serve
to
a
lot
of
corporate
as
delivery
in
Fort
area
as
well.
Talking
about
what
all
I
tried
at
Paratha
Mantra
-
We
started
with
unique
starter
which
I
have
never
tried
before.
Had
Pav
Bhaji
Paratha
Nachos
-
unique
combination
where
Crisp
Lachha
Paratha
is
your
base
with
Nachos
toppings,
cheese
and
pav
bhaji
sauce.
Loved
the
combination
and
I
would
recommend
all
to
try
this
definitely!
Next
from
Tandoori
starters,
we
had
the
Achari
Paneer
Tikka
and
Cheesy
Broccoli
Tandoori.
I
have
tried
Cheesy
Broccoli
in
a
lot
of
places
and
the
ones
that
I
had
here
were
of
the
better
ones.
Paneer
Tikka
with
pickle
marination
had
good
flavour,
but
Paneer
was
a
little
on
the
hard
side.
Tandoor
does
take
away
a
lot
of
softness
and
moisture
of
the
paneer
but
I
am
sure
they
can
try
and
make
it
soft.
Next
in
line
was
the
Aloo
Tuk
Chaat,
had
heard
really
good
things
about
it.
One
good
thing
for
me
about
this
Chaat
was
that
it
had
a
rich
amount
of
chutneys
-
tamarind
as
well
as
Pudina
/
green
chutney.
The
taste
of
chaat
really
enhances
when
chutneys
are
mixed
well.
In
case
you
prefer
it
little
dry,
please
do
inform
them
and
I
am
sure
they
can
prepare
a
drier
version
of
it.
Another
good
part
is
green
chutney
is
given
on
the
side
so
you
can
also
mix
depending
on
how
spicy
you
like
your
chaat.
They
have
worked
really
hard
on
the
presentation
of
the
dishes
as
well,
which
can
be
seen.
Now
talking
about
their
speciality
-
Parathas!
They
are
prepared
in
different
variations
here.
First
of
all
there
are
more
than
25
different
Parathas
and
when
they
can
be
prepared
in
4
different
ways
you
can
just
imagine
the
choice
you
are
spoilt
with.
They
prepare
in
1)
Home
style
or
Mon
style
on
Tawa,
2)
Tandoor
Style
3)
Pizzeria
Style
(Pizza
Style
where
all
stuffing
is
placed
just
as
toppings
on
a
Pizza)
and
4)
Purani
Dilliwale
Paranthe
Galli
Style
(Fried
Parathas)
We
tried
4
different
Parathas
-
Hara
Bhara
Paratha
prepared
in
Home
Tawa
Style.
Next
tried
the
Vada
Pav
Paratha
prepared
in
Pizzeria
Style
where
all
Vada
Pav
toppings
are
placed
on
top
of
the
crisp
Parathas.
Also
tried
the
Paneer
Bhurji
Paratha
which
was
prepared
in
Tandoori
Style
and
finally
Pizza
Paratha
in
Purani
Dilli
Paranthe
Galli
Style.
Of
all
of
them
I
personally
loved
Paneer
Bhurji
and
especially
the
Pizza
Paratha
which
was
fried.
Amongst
the
Veg
Curries,
we
ordered
for
Veg
Afghani
and
Dal
Makhani!
Absolutely
awesome!
I
loved
both
these
main
dishes
and
highly
recommended!
With
the
mains,
we
had
Modi
Nagar
ki
Shikanji
and
Chaas.
Again
really
well
prepared
and
should
try
basis
your
preference.
Finally
for
desserts,
had
Lonavala Fudge
Paratha
with
Vanilla
Ice-cream,
Chaturbhuj ke
Gulab
Jamun
and
Malpua with
Rabri.
Absolutely
loved
the
Fudge
Paratha,
whole
wheat
Paratha
stuffed
with
Fudge
and
topped
with
chocolate
sauce.
It
tastes
divine
with
Vanilla
Ice-cream
which
was
actually
suggested
by
a
guest.
Chaturbhuj
ke
Gulab
Jamun
is
again
very
unqiue
and
different
and
not
the
regular
ones
you
get,
can
try
if
open
to
experimenting.
Malpua
with
Rabri
was
also
nice.
