A perfect place for gluten sensitive people and those absolute hardcore healthy diet lovers . I could actually feel the freshness of the sea water prawns ! Me being a all Organic person just loved the food! A bit steep but worth every morsel. The prawn tacos were mind boggling!

Worst experience ever! We went out on our usual Sunday hunt for new restaurants in town and haven’t been disappointed like this in a long time. The last two amazing experiences were at Mizu and Greenr Cafe in Bandra. ( both food and service) Sequel is just not the bad tasting food that was badly presented but it was burnt too! ( lotus stems in the name of burnt charcoal were just a little too burnt and looked like stale over cooked fries) We were confused from the moment we entered the restaurant. we were throughly confused and felt totally uninvited as there was no one to receive us or guide us to the table even though the restaurant was partially occupied. The manager named Arvind was the most unenterprising and inexperienced host I have ever seen. He made no eye contact in-spite of standing right at the door , didn’t smile and was very reluctant to make conversations. He was super low on energy and was always frowning. Didn’t wear socks inside his leather shoes and that was a bit much for a high end restaurant! There was no coordination between servers and he seemed far from running the show unlike other managers you would generally see around. He was visibly anxious and out of place. We ordered three starters and two main courses and were served each starter after long intervals. As the starters were considerably smaller portions, no one suggested or asked if they should all be brought in together or at intervals. No one even came and suggested if we were ordering the right portion or we needed more or less. We called for Arvind to ask how we can give our review and we were directed straight to Zomato. We then verbally told him about the bad quality but he insisted that we eat the food that we ordered and also tried to educate us on what to expect from an ‘organic restaurant’ such as theirs. :) We didn’t eat, paid the whole bill and left the restaurant failing to understand what was organic about it all!

The lady probably she is the owner of Sequel is extremely rude, arrogant and disrespectful to her customers. Not once but at few occasions I’ve witnessed. What’s the point of having all the ‘exotic’ food on the menu when her inner core value systems as a human being is malnourished. ?

A quaint cafe with a wide organic ingredients based menu. It is a nice place to work alone or catch up with friends. The interiors are minimalistic and the ambience nice and calm. The menu has a wide range. We opted for smoothies and tried the acai berry/mixed berry smoothies which were heavenly! A must try if you are into off-beat recipes and prefer organic food.

After our 24th December Night Service, I had been to Banana Leaf Restaurant in Juhu with my friends & siblings at around 10 pm. We had a short dinner as we wanted to rush home early. We had a veg thali, pav bhaji an veg biryani. The thali was very tasty.

This place has a monumentally inflexible chef who refused to make the most minor of changes to a dish for me on account of a food allergy. When I tried to be flexible by ordering a small plate in lieu of what I originally wanted, I asked if I could order a side dish of an egg (which they offer as a payable add-on for several of their dishes, so it can definitely be done), and they declined to carry out even this miniscule of an accommodation. The staff is fine, but the chef really needs to learn to adapt to client demand within reason.

Worst place in Bandra ! Horrible attitude of the owner/ manager . The vegan salad I order was extremely bitter as all the toppings and leaves were very unsavoury. After complaining to the staff twice I sent it back and did not eat it. The service is also so atrocious as I had to ask to speak to the manger or owner . After a guy with glasses , someone with no customer care skills comes over and says that's the way the food is ...you have to pay for it!! inspite of explaining the problem to him he was so patronising. I just paid the whole bill without eating and walked out hungry .I am also from the hospitality industry and have never come across a place and owner with such a bad attitude. Would definitely never recommend this place to anyone or visit again . As there are much better places in Bandra to eat where you are treated with respect and if there are issues they are rectified.

Beautiful place with a nice outdoor seating area filled with a lot of plants. The food is lovely! Fresh and organic, the menu is carefully curated to provide a wonderful selection of healthy and delicious dishes. I loved the Pink Salad. Fresh and delicious, with a nice surprise of huge capers (which I think might even be local.) The Peruvian chocolate tart is simply divine! So chocolaty, the texture a perfect balance of soft and creamy, and beautifully decorated. And the fresh cranberry-raspberry-orange-sweet basil juice was incredibly delicious! So fresh and tangy, full of the flavour of berries.

Superb place for veg lovers... Especially who love South Indian delicacy... Don't miss the various Dosas, Idlis... Ask the Captain for their speciality.. And yes.. order the Rasam along.. Its a bit expensive place... But worth the food..

Come here if you want tiny overpriced portions and inattentive and slow service. There are a lot of similar cafes in Bandra which are better.

My favourite place in Bandra to grab a coffee and work. The food is exquisite, ambience is wonderful and the place itself is tastefully done. It is not the cheapest place but you pay for quality. Definitely worth checking out.

They have an array of healthy food options like salads and bowls and smoothies but the quality of food is very limited. The salad was very dry with not enough seasoning and some of the ingredients mentioned in the menu were absent in the actual dish. The salad was also overloaded with zoodles instead of all the other ingredients. The smoothie bowl was fine except again they had a couple of key ingredients missing. The portions are quite small for the price you pay. I would think of it to be overpriced and not worth the penny.

  • 3/5 Tanul D. 4 years ago on Google
A place with a lovely, clean ambience. The slick white themed decor is very classy, as is the efficient use of space. The tables are well-spaced out, which definitely comes at a premium in Bandra. The entire menu is curated health food, which adds to the premium. It would be a thoroughly fabulous place, if it weren't for a few things. Most of all, the service is polite and discreet, but somewhat inefficient. Walking in alone meant being ignored by the servers completely, who seem to assume that nobody would have coffee without company. The menu reads very well, and offers a really good variety for breakfast, small meals, full meals and beverages. That said, despite a friend's recommendation, I found the coffee to be strictly average. The server was positively surprised that I wanted a double shot americano, and two servers made at least five confirmations with me about that. The food was well prepared and excellently presented, though the portion size could certainly be better. Yes, it is a premium bistro, but it is still a café and Bistro, and one wouldn't expect to nibble their way through a five course meal to feel sated. Also, while this is most certainly a premium place, the overall experience does not seem to justify the prices.

BANANA LEAF There are very few places in Mumbai which boast of good south Indian food. Banana leaf definitely ranks #1 for me.The ambience is simple and ethnic. Some of the menu items were a fresh thought. South Indian food in Mumbai with a difference in Taste, Quality & ambience, The serving staff needs a little improvement. Overall its a place to relish southern delicacies if you are a lover of dosas/bisele bath/vadas/idlis &mini idlis, etc. They have an extensive menu, mostly south indian dishes from Karnataka, Keral, Tamilnadu & Andhra pradesh. 🍽️:What We Ordered: - 🍽️ Mulgai Idli ( was something very different but good in taste ) 🍽️ Rasam Vada ( 5 vadas in rasam, vadas were soft & rasam tangy & mild on spiciness) 🍽️ South Indian Thali ( presented well, tempting & great on taste ) 🍽️ Rajni Dosa ( loved the masala & sambar taste ) 🍽️ Beverages : Apple Detox & Red Kiwi ( would have tasted better if iced well ) 🍽️ Brownie with Icecream (tasted nice & good) A perfect ending to a perfect meal. >Quality - 5/5 >Taste - 5/5 >Cost - 5/5 >Value worth for money - 5/5 >Overall experience - 5/5 Enjoy eating and follow us on Insta : @foodieklix for more reviews:)

Place is good, but didn't like the service and food. Masala Dosa was soggy and not of good taste. Rasam was also ok ok. I heard lot of good words from my known people, maybe I went on a wrong day, but first impression is worst. Hoping good for next time.

Perfect example of Good food being spoilt by Poorly trained staff. Sunday afternoon peak time Orders were not taken in time. Wrong items were brought to the table and had to be returned. Right items didn’t come till 30 mins after ordering. What came was either cold or Idlis coming without the Sambhar or chutneys. Only 1 waiter attending to our 4 tables of 20 persons. Highly over rated place for the kind of food that they give. Service is ordinary and the pricing is off the roof. For healthy/gluten free options there are far better places around like Bombay Salad Co, Farmers Cafe, Earth Cafe, Seeds of Life, etc. Just because some celebs had visited this place in the past just doesn't justify the price for the food quality and quantity. Doesn't appeal to the taste buds.

For Vanika Choudhary, eating organic was a way of life, ever since she was a child. Growing up in Kashmir and then Jammu, Vanika and her family were used to growing their own produce, composting, cooking with the freshest produce and foraging their own seasonal ingredients. Vanika’s father, a scientist, is an ardent gardener and her mother is a passionate home chef, who chooses only fresh and local ingredients in her cooking. The example set by Vanika’s family as she grew up set the tone for how she thinks of eating and living clean as the natural way of life. Vanika opened Sequel in Bandra – the flagship property – in June 2016, followed by the Kala Ghoda space in August 2017. In June 2019, Vanika joined hands with ace architect Asheish Shah for a complete renovation of Sequel’s Bandra space. Sequel 2.0, the result of Choudhary and Shah’s combined vision, pairs an authentically farm to fork experience with luxury.

A nice place. They have outside sitting as well. Food is really good and healthy. Coffee was nice and hot. Good menu for health freaks. Items are priced a bit high at around 400 to 500 for each item in breakfast and around 700 for mains. A must visit place.

I had gone with my grand daughter today as she wanted to have a chocolate chip cookie. As it was being made fresh it definitely took a lot of time but I would like to suggest to 2 make smaller ones instead of I big one , esp if it is for a child. Secondly , had ordered a pineapple drink for myself but it was undrinkable as it had too much salt in it. When I informed the waitress she went and got more salt 🤦‍♀️ Unfortunately nothing was done to save the drink so I had to leave it. Hate to waste !

Healthy breakfast options Opens at 8 am Service is prompt Lots of ready made juices and aachars are available Every one can enjoy a calorie specific diet option It's mainly a breakfast joint Healthy juices for detox are available and very tasty Portion size is very small compared to the exorbitant price

I have come here multiple times and I loved this place and their food until today. Now, the quality of their food has degraded. The (new) menu has very limited options. We were their first guests for the day today and found that the place wasn't cleaned and dusted properly. Not sure if I would like to visit this place again after today's experience.

Spider in my Salad. Is this how hygienic you claim to be. Very disappointed. Surprisingly the Bandra West Branch says that Sir you didn’t place any order. I told him the order came from Bandra East Branch. He said he will share the number. My request to everyone who eats salad from anywhere in Mumbai. Wash the salad before consuming. I have the video for this so called Salad Spider. Very Disappointed

Came here for an energizing green juice and some detoxing food. Sequel was delicious, healthy and excellent service.

Very disappointed, we have been having kombucha Rosella kafir since months from this restaurant. Today we found a fly inside the bottle . How can we trust your service henceforth . Highly disappointed

Sequel being one of my favourite places in Bandra , it was vey disappointing to see the callous behaviour of the chef in the kitchen who wasn’t wearing gloves or mask but also putting ingredients in the smoothie mixer with his bare hands. Even on asking the manager about the same he gave a very cold response saying he must have washed his hands. REALLY! we really take hygiene so lightly is it ??? Or is it that once customers are regular the place gets a little known all guards are let down ! DISGUSTING!

Quaint place, small but overall OK. We were unlucky on our visit as my partner got got his breakfast, finished it, ordered a smoothie, got it and finished it and I still had not received my pancakes. Awkward to say the least. No acknowledgement, no apologies from staff. Coffees are all right.

It was such a cute and peaceful cafe located on the 16th road. Food was amazing and the services were great. You could visit if you're not into noisy or crowded cafes.

Love the coffee and the vibe... minimalistic interiors. The food is good. Great place to work from or just chill.

Very Organic place with some exquisite organic cuisine, good vibes , well done decor , yummy and diverse food options organically made , very different from other restaurants, quiet classy and we enjoyed the cocktails too ! Highly priced but if you want to taste something very different then this is the place , sit quietly, enjoy your meal ! Valet parking available!

👍👍 One of the best private clubs in Mumbai. The hospitality and food experience was just great and worthy to mention about. Those waiting can start by scoring some vit D outside and slowly sweat their way to the damp of about 300 diners inside, letting off steam under the first fans Bombay saw in the 60's (50's or 70's??).
