It’s a great divine place, which is still not very commercialised . So you can expect a calm surroundings. The idol inside is so calm and plain without any extravagant decorations around. The temple staff are nice. I visited here during a weekday . It wasn’t crowded at all.

Idagunji is a small 🤏place in Honnavara taluk, Uttar Karnataka district. It is also one of the major temples in the west coast of Karnataka. This temple 🛕is entirely dedicated to 🕉️Lord Ganesha. This temple is the main attraction🧲 in Idagunji . Its is a very attractive place 🛐 which also has a lot of positive vibrations 📳Its a calm 😌place with calm 😌 surroundings. A glimpse of the cute idol of Sri Ganesh makes anyone mesmerized. The idol is also so Calm 😌& Plain (its is not so overdecorated like in other temples 🛕) which makes it look like a real GOD. There is a belief 🙂that what ever u ask the God it always comes true & this a true fact. The temple 🛕 staff 💁‍♀️💁‍♂️are quite nice. The temple 🛕 was not crowded 👥👥❌at all when I visited & We had plenty⏳ of time ⏰ to sit 🧎‍♀️🧎in front of the God & recite a few Mantras. Hence we had a quick & easy darshan 🙏. We had a great 👍 time 🕒 there seeing Lord Ganesh's bal 👶🏻 roop. The temple 🛕 precincts stages Yakshagaana shows at times. This temple 🛕 is surrounded by Forest 🌲🌳🌴area by which the Air is fresh & there is a lot of greenery 🍃🍀☘️🌿 which u can see while going 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️to the temple 🛕. Parking 🚗🅿️& Prasad nilaya both are adjacent to each other but are around 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣Ⓜ️ away from the temple so you will have to walk 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ a bit. In front of the temple🛕 there are many shops 🏪where u can do some shopping🛍️🛒 there are attractive Lord Ganesh hangings & famous Indian handlooms are also available.

It's a renowned temple located in uttar kannada district. It's 15kms from murdeshwar. If u are visiting murdeshwar, make sure to visit this famous temple. There is ample space to park vehicles. And from parking area one should walk around 300metres to reach the temple which has standing Ganapati idol. There are many stores on the way to temple where u find many standing Ganapati idols.

Idagunji Maha Ganapati Temple is a renowned Hindu temple located in the village of Idagunji in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is considered one of the holiest and most visited Ganapati temples in Karnataka. Idagunji Maha Ganapati Temple holds a significant religious and historical importance. The presiding deity, Lord Ganesha, is believed to be self-manifested (Swayambhu), meaning the idol was not carved by human hands but naturally appeared in its current form. This unique aspect adds to the temple's reverence and attracts devotees from far and wide. The temple complex features a striking architecture that reflects traditional Hindu temple design. The main sanctum houses the idol of Lord Ganesha, which is made of black stone and stands approximately 4 feet tall. The idol is adorned with elaborate decorations and is considered highly auspicious. One of the distinct features of Idagunji Maha Ganapati Temple is its serene and peaceful ambiance. Surrounded by lush greenery and situated on the banks of the Sharavati River, the temple offers a tranquil atmosphere for devotees to engage in prayer and seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. The temple witnesses a significant influx of devotees, especially during the annual festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Sankashti Chaturthi. During these occasions, the temple is beautifully decorated, and various religious ceremonies and cultural events take place, enhancing the festive spirit. Idagunji Maha Ganapati Temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees who believe in the power of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles and bring prosperity into their lives. The temple's serene setting, religious significance, and the divine presence of Lord Ganesha make it a popular destination for those seeking spiritual solace and blessings.

Located high up on a hill near Honnavar in North Karnataka district, it is the 5th of the 6 - Ganesha temple circuit. Starting with the temple at Kasargod, then Mangalore, Anegudde, Kundapura, Idagunji & Gokarna in that order northward. It is believed that if a devotee completes darshan at all the six temples between sunrise and sunset on the same day, is specially blessed. This temple is quite famous and the priests say that there are at least a million footfalls at this temple every year.

Located 20 kilometers from Murdeshwar, this renowned temple boasts a rich history of 2000 years, dedicated to the deity Balaganapathi. We explored the sacred site during its 3 pm opening, enjoying a scenic drive through a reserve forest. The journey was enhanced by the warmth of friendly locals, and the temple itself exuded positive energy.

A great Ganapati temple situated almost 15 kms from Murudeshwar Shiva temple. Devrishi Narad specially requested bhagwan Ganesh to remain here during his tapasya at this place. You will feel the unseen energy in the temple. Very peaceful calm and spiritual atmosphere in and around the temple.

I recently visited this spiritual temple and was immediately struck by the serene and peaceful atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by good vibes and positive energy, which made me feel welcome and at ease. One thing that impressed me about this temple was the cleanliness and attention to detail. Another thing that stood out to me was the sense of community that was present at this temple. Everyone that I encountered, from the staff to the other visitors, was friendly, welcoming, and open-minded. It was clear that this temple is a place where people can come together to connect, learn, and grow in their spiritual journeys. Overall, I would highly recommend this spiritual temple to anyone looking for a peaceful and uplifting experience. The good vibes, cleanliness, and presence of cows all contribute to an atmosphere that is both calming and spiritually enriching.

This enchanting place is one of the major temples in the west coast that is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The antiquity of the scenarios surrounding the establishment of the Dwidanta (two horned) Ganesha Murthy dates back to the bygone epoch of Dwapara Yuga. Some people claim it to be older than that. The idol of Ganesha doesn’t have snake around its stomach. The temple precincts stages Yakshagaana shows at times. Spending a night here can be a memorable experience as the place is surrounded by dense forests all around.

Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Idagunji, Karnataka Idagunji, Ganapathi temple is an ancient temple with a history of more than 1500 years. It is a major tourist attraction on the Karavali coast of Karnataka, India. This place has got its own name for its beautiful idol of Lord Ganapathi. The importance of Edakunj kshetra has been mentioned in the Sahyadri khand of the Skandapuran. ‘Eda’ (Wamnadi) means ‘to the left’ and ‘kunj’ means garden. The place thus got its name, as it is located on the left bank of the river Sharawati. The temple is quite big. The Ganesha idol is in a standing posture, with extremely short legs, and a depression on the head. The “Dwibhuja Ganapathy” or two-handed Ganesha is holding Modaka and Padma (Lotus) in his hands. The idol is of black stone. The temple is midway between Gunavanteshwar and Murudeshwar and is 1/2 hr drive from either temple.

Nice temple, we have to walk 200m from parking downhill and come back uphill. Temple doesn't have steps. But for washing feet we have to go down about 20 steps and climb up. Food is served only in the noon from 1 to 2:30 by the temple.

Good to visit. One thing to take care of is at the exit, there are cows and buffaloes waiting right in the middle for food. Take help of someone if required. These cute animals snatched my bag with fruits.

The idol is of black stone. IDAGUNJI SPECIALITY PANCHAKHADYA is prepared for LORD GANAPATHI it is the special prasada of this temple. Many devotees (including me) believe that when one is in deep problem all you have to do is pray to Idagunji Ganesha and when Ganesha helps you and your problems are gone, all you have to do is visit the temple and offer a 5 or 10 Rs Panchadaya to the Lord and you will be blessed forever. SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS At Idagunji the Ganesha masks made out of lavancha (sogade beru in Kannada or vetiver in English) make good souvenirs. Raw lavancha ganesh chaturthi dates is also available in plenty. Look out for Ganesha masks caps and other things that are made our of lavancha. It has a pleasant aroma when soaked in water and has medicinal properties. LOCATION Idagunji is located about 14 kms south east of Honnavar taluk of North Canara District of Karnataka State India. Be it a small child, or an old man, Lord Ganesh here is very beloved with a sweet spiritual smile in his eyes. Idagunji has also got a hall which facilitates religious ceremonies and marriages in this holy shelter. Idagunji has also taken up meal facilities.
