I just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Smile Chicken in wood dale, it’s a newer small business! I meant to take a picture before we started digging but my kiddos were hungry! AMAZING customer service we tried their Boba drinks and a small order of their chicken last night and the young lady there was so kind! My kids and boyfriend loved it all that my son today wanted more chicken and to try their Shaken fries so I went back to get more than just a small order which was actually pretty large! We ordered the large Korean chicken with fries and it fed my family of 4! I am super clumsy and knocked one of the boba drinks all over my car and the sweet young ladies in there came out and helped me clean it out of my car on top of making me a new drink and bringing out free dumplings and proceeded to tell me she hoped I could go home and still enjoy the rest of my night(Which I did, kindness goes such a long way) I normally don’t make posts about restaurant reviews but if you haven’t gone yet please go check them out because they’re definitely worth it! The customer service alone is the reason I will continue to go back there! Not to mention all their sauces are delicious, highly recommend their honey garlic butter sauce! Smile Korean Chicken just opened 5 days ago. I Tried it for the first time tonight. Walking in, I was greeted with a welcoming smile by all of the friendly staff. Decided on the small (16 ounce) Korean chicken combo, which includes fries and tortilla chips. There are several different sauces to choose from and I had the sweet soy and honey garlic, both very tasty and savory. The chicken was fantastic, perfectly cooked, crispy outside and juicy inside...compliments to the chef. Fries were okay. I was surprised it was also served with the round tortilla chips, which are not house made, but complimented well and one of the helpful servers suggested I eat a bite of chips and a bite of chicken at the same time, which actually works out well. There is a complimentary nacho cheese pump in the dining area... so cheese fries for me also. The bathrooms were clean as expected being a new place, and the servers were immediately wiping the tables and floors beneath down as guests exited, just what I expected from an Asian owned business. Did not try the boba tea but there was a good selection available. Being this visit was during the soft opening, my order was doubled so I received another duplicate order that I took to-go 😋 I really enjoyed this dining experience and will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu.

Our picky eater daughter says it was the best fried chicken she’s ever had!! The waffles and one order of tots was a bit cold but the chicken was very hot, juicy and crunchy; a great combination. Both kids liked the boba also. We tried 4 of their sauces and all were good and vary depending on your preferences. They were not busy and we got our food fast. The staff was good at explaining the menu. The price was a bit higher than expected (limit your sauce counts) but the chicken wings were much larger than we expected. The boneless chicken was larger than expected also.

First time trying this place as I stumbled upon it by happen chance. I got the boneless Smile-bap lunch special and it was tasty. Chicken is moist and delicious. I’ll try the bone in chicken and corn dog next time! Horchata boba is a must too!

Chicken was fried nicely, incredibly moist with ample flavor. I do however thing that the sauces were the highlight of the meal. In pairing the chicken with the sauces, the combo was absolutely delicious. Wood Dale is home to limited options for food outside of fast food; Smile Korean Chicken stands out as an excellent option to mix things up. -I greatly recommend the sweet garlic and sweet chili sauces.

This place is so fun and different! I love all the new flavors and the chicken is so fresh. I tried the corn dogs for the first time today and I will definitely be back for them. I highly recommend

I was impressed by the quality of the food and service. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. The sides were also tasty, particularly gyoza and shaking potato. The staff was friendly and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual and comfortable, perfect for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with friends. Visited mid afternoon during the week and they were not busy. The staff was kind and explained the available options to us. The chicken was fine but lacked flavor, perhaps that's on purpose since you have your choice of sauces. Fries were good and the combo comes with tortilla chips. I don't know if that's common or not but I thought it odd considering there are fries. They have self serve hot nacho cheese sauce for chips. The milk tea w/boba was average, but they don't have a lot of flavors to choose from. Lunch special is available between 11a and 3p.
