We booked weeks in advance coming for Maine. We pre-paid for 2 nights. We we’re running late for check in after 2 days of travel because of a car problem, called ahead to let them know we would not be arriving till 8pm (a perfectly reasonable time for 99% of campgrounds) the woman who answered the phone said, sorry you can’t check in after 5pm. SERIOUSLY!?!? We sat at a truck stop down the road OVERNIGHT and no one was at the campground in the morning!! No security, no staff anywhere. We have camped all over the United States and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. We ended up finding another campground near by that has 24 hour staff and got us in without issue. Long story shot, stay ANYWHERE else. Doubt I’ll see my money back. Had I seen the reviews on Google and Yelp I never would have booked in the first place. If I could give it zero stars I would.

We stayed for 2 months. The park grounds, bath house and pool is VERY well kept and clean. The maintenance guys really do a great job and are always willing to help. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful. One lady in the office who I will not name, is always a lot of fun to talk to. I think she can make anyone’s day a little more fun. Thanks for a great stay!

Holy *insert curse here*! This place is a huuuuuuuuge no go. Especially, if you're of tanner complexion with light skinned spouse. (both Hispanic but ironically, the tanner/brown one is half Caucasian) As much as I don't want to bring race or color into this, unfortunately, the "nice people" (as other reviews call them) couldn't help but "playfully" try to guess "where" I'm from. Then joked that my children were mutts, because they assumed my husband was Caucasian, but is actually full blooded Puerto Rican. I grew up in the deep south, so I'm used to such ignorant banter. What I'm not used to is being over charged to camp in a filthy trailer park parking lot. We didn't use electricity because we were old school campers and for some reason, this offended Alex... In which they tried to make us pay a deposit for something, but backed off when I mentioned my cousin (who was with us) being a lawyer. After that extremely awkward heated debate, we left early. The folk seem friendly at first, but be very wary. The location is very undesirable, extremely unkempt, astronomically expensive for no reason, and honestly, isn't really a campground so much as a low class trailer park. Also, to parents: do not bring your kids. Especially, if you have daughters, if you get my drift.

Paid for the whole season. Got told I had to leave because they had someone willing to pay more. Alex the little pool boy wouldn’t refund my 800..00 waste tank service was paid for and not done once. Very unsanitary. Health department needs to look into this dump

I stayed at the campground for a month and a half had to remind him three times to come and pump out my tank even though I’d already paid for it to be pumped out every Thursday they wouldn’t do it then they charge me extra electricity and then they said that they would refund a check to me still have not seen one. The whole place is pretty run down with a Lot of old trees with branches falling down everywhere.

Trees fresh air and a River runs through it. Update 3 years later (from five *****to ***) The serenity of camping here is disappearing fast. For some reason flood lights, street lights are occurring along with spy cameras that totally ruined the nighttime ambiance. Stargazing of meteor showers once common is no longer possible. Starting to feel like you're camping in a Walmart parking lot. If you like rustic this place is not going that way. The influx of permanent residents who seem to need the security of street lights is taking over... Sad very sad for it is a good location.

Alex the pool boy did me wrong. That place is in safe in sanitary and it would be a shame if it burned down

Not up to code. Unsafe. Overpriced and just a run down old trailer park. Wasted 💰
