Isn't it fascinating that the smallest, most overlooked things could end up becoming some of the best things out there. Consider the humble falafel, made of garbanzo beans, parsley, and a number of other plant-based ingredients. They're so simple to make, everyone can make them. However, few can make them well. Mr G. asked me how I found out about his restaurant and I said, oh I was going to the place nearby and my friends had used Kebab-G as a descriptive landmark and expressed such surprise that I had never been here before. And so, he said, “I'm going to get you some falafels since this is your first visit.” I guess today was my “lucky” day. 😁😁😁 And so, that is the story behind how I got to try the most wonderful crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft on the inside falafels. Great authentic spot for Mediterranean, would especially recommend the Lamb chops and Falafel.

Good food, reasonable prices, generous potions, friendly & respectful staff. My daughter rarely eats meat ...she loves their lamb chops and lamb kabobs, she also likes their salad! I liked their lentil soup and salad. I also appreciate that this is a family-owned restaurants, always feels good to dine at family owned local restaurants!

If you’re a fan of Middle Eastern food, you’re in for a treat. I had the veggie platter, and it did not disappoint. The falafel were crispy on the outside and moist and fluffy on the inside. The stuffed grape leaves were full of flavor. The hummus tasted homemade, and they didn’t skimp on the tahini. My husband had the shawarma platter, and everything was so full of flavor. If you haven’t been here yet, I highly recommend you try it out. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for authentic Middle Eastern food, here is the place. Paying attention to details, great taste, and hospitality. The yogurt is authentic sour middle Eastern one. I feel the food is home made, not restaurant made. Highly recommended. Note:I drove 80 miles one way to try it with my family, will absolutely do it again!.

I've been here three times so far. I've had the Fatteh special twice and the Kabsa once. The Fatteh special is divine. The Kabsa is also very good. They cook their chicken Shawarma meat very very well. I also hear the lamb, beef, and cheese kabobs are good. The service was great! Drinks are self-refilled, but the server/cook comes around to deliver your food and then again to ask how you enjoyed your food. It's a great family owned place! The atmosphere is also nice. There are many tables and most of the times I've been here, it's been pretty empty. A lot of people seem to order take out. The place is clean and not very noisy. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! I definitely plan to come back!

Food was flavorful however the meats were pretty dry and hard. It is unfortunate as I do think that this would be a really good choice. We went and 2:00pm on a Monday so that may have something to do with it. Service and people were good. You order before sitting.

We ate lunch today. The food was so so not as good as it was lacked flavor and spices portions smaller and the prices are way to high. Last time for us. We thought we would try one more time which we did today! I am going to revise my review to a one star! $70 for a terrible lunch with three waters is nuts!!! The only reason I did not say anything at the time is our daughter was with us. You are going to have a very tough time with the increase in price and much lower quality of food! They should be ashamed to serve the quality of food that we were served. They should be ashamed to serve the quality of food we had,Shameful!! Very disappointing! Why would you lower the quality of food and raise the prices? We had been coming here for many years and noticed the food quality had been going downhill for a number of years. If you write a good review the business always responds but if someone is not satisfied they don't respond. I guess they do not care! No response to my review! Why?

This place has a warm, inviting atmosphere, place is clean and plenty of seating. We had the lamb sandwich and was very good! People are friendly and greeted us when first arrived and when leaving. Would recommend!

Very clean restaurant with Great Food. I enjoyed the Lamb and Chicken kebab. Salad is very fresh, and Hummus is incredible. Falafel was so crispy outside and flully inside. That's the way I like them. Great service.

This is one of the most friendly, and delicious family Mediterranean restaurants in Peoria. Every meal is a creation and one of my favorites is the Red Trout! Highly recommend.

I was here 2 years ago and the food was not that good, I gave it a shot today again it was super good and tasty, I got the Arayes plate and Chicken Shawarma both were really good. The Hummus is EVERYTHING!!!!!

This review is long overdue, as the visit I'm recounting is from a number of years ago. Friends and I were visiting Peoria in the winter, and after a long drive and meeting up we were in need of some good food. Seeing what was around, we found ourselves in a cosy little restaurant called Kabab-G. For a pack of weary travelers, this place was just the meal we needed to unwind and start our trip off right. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the fresh food hit the spot. For the Falafel enjoyers, this place has fantastic Falafel. It's been so long since our visit, I was worried that the pandemic had caused the restaurant to close, but I'm delighted you all are still open and would love to stop by again on our next trip to the area!

Delicious every time! Their beef shawarma is excellent and their rice goes wonderfully with it. Their salad is tasty as well. I also love their hummus!

Picked up grape leaves and hummus for lunch to go and loved so much I went back the next evening for dinner! Added combination kabobs and they were simply delicious. Service is fast and friendly!

Good food and very attentive and friendly service. The prices are a little high for the portion size but the food is very tasty. They add a 3% surcharge for using credit cards, so take plenty of cash if you want to avoid that fee.

Reasonable price level but little on the skim side, wish there were more to have for the price paid. Waitress were staff in front counter for orders and cashiering. Pleasant and care shown for customers. Good table lay out and enough room for comfort, there were few customers there when we arrived and few more came in. Good average tasty food and above standard for a sit down meal place, a hybrid fast food and sit down place.

Driving by and just stopped in... 1st time eating there, I ordered beef and chicken Shawarma, Tabuli and pistachio baklava. Yummmmmy. It was fantastic. The young man at the cashier, and the ladies who cooked my food were just nice. I will be coming back again.

Nice little place, flavorful meats. I got the chicken kabob and my boyfriend got the lamb. The lamb was good but the chicken was definitely seasoned better. The plates came with naan and hummus that was a little bland until you added the hot sauce they gave you and then it was deliciously spicy and a little smokey. The hummus base would be good for someone who didn't want a lot of heat. They gave us free falafel with our order with a good tangy tahini (I think) sauce. Falafel was a little dry but that's kind of the nature of falafel anyways. Everything was moderately priced, not fast food prices but definitely not expensive especially considering how fresh and well made it all was. Will be visiting again if I'm in Peoria and in the mood for Mediterranean.

This whole family rocks at customer service. Food is amazing as always. We ordered food for my sons graduation party and all the guests were so happy. Quality and quantity was just perfect.

The falafel and stuffed grape leaves are some of the best I've ever had. The second to last time I came here, I tried the Fatteh Special Plate with beef shawarma and it was shockingly delicious. They also have house made hot sauce that is phenomenal and you can buy by the jar-- I have bought it twice already. I am slowly trying everything on the menu and would be doing so much faster if I was a local. They are always so friendly and I'm happy to support such a fantastic family run business.

It's a great Lebanese restaurant that makes terrific kebabs and shawarma platters. I usually go with the beef or chicken plates but I recently had the salmon plate and it did not disappoint. Kabab-G is definitely a go-to for my family.
