Run, don’t walk, to this new neighborhood gem! Such a wonderful addition to Central St! Went for lunch on opening day & the counter service was warm, friendly & SO FAST!! My husband & I split the Truffle BLT & the Cheeseburger plus an order of Truffle Fries (sauce on the side for dipping, rather than the smothered version). Your kids are going to love the football table, claw machine & Pac Man video games inside along with giant Connect Four & bags outside on the sun drenched patio. You are going to enjoy excellent local beers (we had Sketchbook’s Orange Door & Half Acre’s Daisy Cutter- don’t judge our midday drink, we were celebrating our anniversary!!), beautiful decor & a quiet meal with your person because your kiddos will be too busy playing games to bother you! The food was excellent- can’t wait to try other options next time. Sit on the small Central St sidewalk patio, in the front dining room, in the back bar, or on the big back patio. Can’t go wrong! Welcome to the neighborhood Fat Shallot! We’re thrilled you’re here!!

It feels a bit odd giving this the same rating I've given some places with Michelin stars, but calibrate expectations. This is a neighborhood restaurant/bar, and it's one I am incredibly happy to have in my neighborhood. The sandwiches and cheese curds are great. The staff - and particularly the owner, Sarah - are incredibly nice. There's a very good midwest-centric beer collection. The (back) place feels like a slightly nicer up north bar. I'd enjoy it more if it wasn't overrun with children, but I guess that's the tradeoff of a neighborhood place. I'm just happy to finally have somewhere I can walk to and get a beer and a good plate of nachos. Editing to add that this place is absolutely screaming to have a proper Wisconsin Old Fashioned on the menu. Particularly the Morgenthaler version of it.

Yumm! We just had an amazing lunch at the fat shallot. We ate our sandwich to fast for a photograph. We ordered the Truffle BLT, Brussels sprouts and Fries. The atmosphere is great and staff was super friendly. This will definitely be added to our go to list. Very nice full bar too.

The spot has a retro-modern vibe that feels welcoming and cozy, while the staff has been consistently friendly and hospitable during both visits. The ginger lemonade packs a punch and the burger with bacon is impressively juicy. The truffle fries hit the umami spot perfectly, although the spicy sesame fries weren't my top pick. It's awesome to stumble upon a new spot, especially when you've heard its name buzzing around numerous times.

Good food and friendly people! The grilled cheese and tomato bisque were perfect for the fall weather. They have a solid beer selection and a few decent pre-batched cocktails. We're so happy to have a good lunch and dinner place we can walk to.

Really cool space. Dining in front, party in back with the juke box, video games and the bar! And a really nice outdoor courtyard in the back. I've had the buffalo chicken sandwich at Gilson Beach before, so I had to try it at this new location. It's perfect, great buffalo spice and little slices of celery and ranch dressing. YUM! I paired it with their delicious fries. You have to come and try this.

We are so happy to have The Fat Shallot next door to us! The Margarita Slushy was great. The jumbo chocolate chip cookie was so tasty, and the turkey sandwich was so so good! Even better everyone was so nice! The energy here is electric. We will be back many times. Cheers to a great opening and that The Fat Shallot has many more wonderful years to come!

Casual, almost picnic-like dining rooms with a vibe like a high school lunch room featuring alcoholic beverages and really creative and delicious food. The grilled cheese sand accompanied by the tomato bisque will definitely bring me back.
