Had an job interview. Got the job and was supposed to start in 2 days. They decided they’d give the position they just gave me to another person and pull the offer they gave me two days prior. Totally unprofessional in my opinion. Don’t recommend anyone to try and work here because if they are unprofessional during the hiring process imagine working there… I’m not upset they chose someone over me. I’m upset because my time was wasted. To offer me the job only to go and give it to someone else is upsetting. I could’ve been applying elsewhere, but I didn’t because I got offered the job and took it which I guess means nothing. I have actual bills to pay. Do better!

I've been going to this specific gym for about 2 years now, it was much closer then the other gym up in McHenry. The place is kept clean and my only complaint would be how congested it can get in there during the afternoon/evening hours. Now if they can try to keep this gym nice and cold, that'd be nice... 76 degress is unacceptable.

The coaches are incredible, knowledgeable, and actually care about you. I want to emphasize that no matter what your fitness level might be, this is the place for you. You will not find a more positive and uplifting atmosphere.

Solid gym with a variety of workout options for all people. Knowledgeable staff, and I got a free year of membership after signing up for my first year. I wish the pool was bigger, but I appreciate what they did with their space. They also have a bunch of recovery stuff as well for post workout. I will say tho, the wet sauna in the men's locker has a, strange, odor.

Great place to work out. Always clean and the staff is friendly. I always used to get anxious before I went to previous gyms because I was such a beginner and felt very intimidated. But at PF I feel like they really adhere to their No Judgement rule and they're kind and patient when you need help.

I've been going to this gym for a year now. I transferred my account from the one from Arlington Heights. It's a decent gym, but I do wish they had more weight equipment. I used to work second shift, so I'd go to the gym right after work around 11:30-11:45 Pm. When I get there, there'd be about 5-10 people there. (I do miss that) The place would be clean but ever so often I'd find a bug crawling around 🫣(I hate bugs) once I started working first shift again, going to the gym right after work is not the same. It's too damn packed, I don't get to use all the equipment I need to. I feel rushed because I don't want to cling to the equipment for too long, I know other people want to use it too. Again, it's a decent gym. Most of the employees are nice and welcoming. 👁️‍🗨️🫣 For all newcomers, you just need to check it out for yourself. 🤘🏻🏃🏽🚴🏼🚶🏽

On 29 November 2022 in evening I was doing workout on stairs and mistakenly I dropped my apples AirPods on running stairs machine. Then I inform this to Wyatt ( one of staff members ) and then he and his colleagues went beyond to help me to find that stuck AirPods underneath in a corner. (Waytt and Kurt) for that they have to open a stair workout machine and which I really appreciate that staff is very helpful, nicr and friendly. Also all the staff members keep place clean. I am happy that I go to planet fitness instead of going somewhere else. Thank again to Kurt and Waytt . 😊

Used to be way better. This location has really gone downhill customer service wise. The old manager was extremely helpful and always friendly. Now I can't even find an employee half the time. Not even worth having a black card because I can't enjoy any of the perks at this location.

I like the layout of this gym. I was surprised in the locker room that they have a scale which was happy about. Sadly they only have hydromassage loungers instead of beds. I like the layout of the locker room but the showers really need work. There are brackets for the hooks by the showers but no hooks. The shower curtains are hung REALLY high leaving a very small space between the bar and the ceiling, since this small space was the only place to hang my towel, it took several times to get it up there. With the bar so high, it left a good half a foot at the bottom where is the curtain should have been.

I have never signed up or used my card here and I keep getting charged for a membership,the reps don’t seem to care about it when I call the location, manager doesn’t do anything about it.

If this location wasn't down the road from me I wouldn't go so often. The staff is rude and machines are always broken. I received a survey in my email expressed my concerns and someone named "mariah" who is supposed to be the general manager at this location called me a racist and even hung up the phone on me . Sorry but when you asked my issues and I Said a certain staff member never says anything and when I have come to said staff member with issues she doesn't say anything that I really am understanding. There's a communication issue. I understand her first language is not English and that's okay but being able to communicate with members clearly is a important part of any customer service type job. I'm sorry but me expressing that doesn't make me a "racist". Shame on "mariah" they should play that phone call in a corporate training session for exactly how you do NOT speak to a guest. No surprise this location has many poor reviews for customer service issues.

Staff is very friendly. The place is clean. I do wish they had a few more machines and weights and less cardio equipment but otherwise I love coming here.

Very clean and nice gym...getting a bit packed all the time but if you don't mind waiting for your machine or know how to do alternative workouts to get your targeted muscles then your good.

The trainers and fellow workout partners are their to support, push and be there for you. Any ability can come to this place and feel successful and be the best they can be.

For the value you’re paying it’s pretty good. I usually go in the am so never busy for me. Wish they would provide soap

Good location. They are busy after everyone gets off work but machines are still available for everyone that comes for a workout. Clean bathrooms. Front desk is attentive for any questions.

It's definitely still one of the best economical gyms with most the equipment and treadmills. For a person like me, looking to stay in shape and in budget this is the way to go.

Awful experience in communication with management and application. Usually I pay in club. Couple months ago I moved to another state. When I tried to pay online one time payment - the application just do nothing. When I tried to replace my payment info to actual checking account, I've got an error. I called to my club a lot of times and heard only: "ok , give your number and manager called you back" . How many times manager called me?? ZERO. And of course, I have unpayed bills with late fees. I hope they will see this and manager call me back and found solution. Update to planet fitness reply: 1. I'll change my club since middle of April. My current club here and I tried to speak with this club. 2. I actually use mobile application. I already wrote about this issue with one time payments to application support at the end of 2022 and got response: "please pay in your local club".

Bianca is RUDE! Very unprofessional. She made me feel uncomfortable. She really isn’t a people people person and this is why I decided to cancel my membership because you guys cannot hire good employees that have a good personality. She never smiles, she has a really rude attitude and she doesn’t know how to do her job. She didn’t even know how to cancel a membership and was there for over a hour.

The staff are always so nice and keep the gym clean! Been coming since this location opened and it still looks like the day they opened! Machines are repaired in an efficient amount of time also when they go down!

Had a membership with them for a good year and a half. I enjoyed the gym, always clean and friendly. I asked them to freeze my membership due to me not being able to come for a few months and they still ended up charging me and didn’t even refund the money they took after I specifically asked them to freeze my account.

Today March 21st, 2023. I visited this Planet fitness location and I am truly sorry to say, this place is so out of date. If you look at the photo I submitted, you will see that the treadmill I'm using is not clean. It has years of dust, sweat and God knows what else, everywhere. It covers the lines of this treadmill, as if it has not been cleaned in years. On top of that, all of the exercise equipment has to be from the early 2000's. We pay XX amounts of money every month and this is what we get. If this were my regular gym I would demand that they up date every last part of gym.

I was nervous about joining planet fitness for years. Not until I was ready to check it out w my daughter that I gave it a try. The staff at the Mundelein location has been exceptional, a few of the staff I see during the times I come in each day remember me by name & it makes me feel warmly welcomed. All the staff that I have encountered has made me feel good walking in, and I also feel that the other people that work out are genuinely not judging me or others around- people are focused on their individual workouts, but kind in passing (which I like as well). The facility is always clean and I really love the perks of the hydro beds, massage chairs, red-light machine, and access to tanning. Definitely worth the price and a great place to work out.

Am glad I was introduced to this gym. Equipment is fantastic, facility is very clean, staff is very personable and friendly.

If you want to pause your membership because of a surgery they require personal details which is insane. This place is out of their mind! They would rather you cancel your membership then put it on pause. If you want a corporate franchise to know about your private medical information join this club.

Love this place! It’s a great workout with great instructors! It really caters to all individuals and will kick your butt no matter what fitness level you are at.

Equipment is in good condition. Atmosphere is relaxed. No intense bodybuilders grunting and drawing attention to themselves

It's inexpensive and doesn't have power racks or any proper barbells. If you want to do squats, bench, or deadlifts you'll need to compromise and accept using dumbbells or a smith machine. It's an understandable choice because insurance costs would kill their business model. Otherwise this gym is fine. My bigger issue is with how this gym continues to approach the covid pandemic. Initially they reduced hours and claimed it was to ensure everything was cleaned properly. After speaking with staff I confirmed they cut hours because fewer people were coming and they didn't want to pay to have people here 24 hours. It's understandable but longer hours would have helped immensely because people could come at off hours to reduce the risk of infection. So they removed a major risk mitigation technique to save money. They also claimed to require masks but never enforced the rule. Now it's about 2 years later, covid rates are very high in the county again because no one cares. This gym is very crowded most days and unless you come between 2 am and about 5 am it's not possible to avoid particulates others exhale. It seems like no one here cares to even try to stay away from eachother. The staff will never enforce any guidelines on distance and the customers will work out immediately next to you without a second thought. Im trying to return to some sense of normalcy but you still need to be careful. Gyms are probably the worst place you can go to risk infection. There are things you can do to reduce the risk but this place does not care about spreading illness and never will. If I can't get out before 5 am I don't bother coming.
