If you're looking for a good steakhouse, this is a great place. We passed the warm bread around under the dimmed lights of the restaurant as we waited for our dinner to arrive. The gentle buzz of the restaurant conversation provided a background for our own dinner conversation. The first of our dinner to arrive was the shrimp appetizer. It was crunchy, creamy and contained a tinge of spicy tang. For the main entree, the steak was well cooked, delicious and plentiful. The mushroom sidedish was perfect, not too strong but a quiet flavorful companion. And the crème brûlée was a sweet end to complete the dinner and the evening.

It’s pretty much a straight down the middle suburbs of Chicago steakhouse. The name makes it sound like it’s part of a Disney world restaurant but it’s a locally owned spot with a few locations. The wine list is probably the best part of the restaurant, although don't get me wrong... all their stuff is very good... nothing great, but nothing horrible either. I’m sure it’s considered the best restaurant in the area. 4**** They do offer a bunch of different crusts, toppings, and sauces for their steaks which will allow you to customize them in the way that’s most appealing to your pallet that evening. Overall service is way above average with warm bread being replaced, water being constantly refilled along with wine glasses always getting attention. If I lived nearby, I think the comfortable bar area would be my go-to spot, it's always busy.

Both our steaks were slightly over cooked but still very tender and tasty. Tempura green beans were awesome. Tasty lemon drop martini.

Good food and ambience! Great staff. Ordered the spicy shrimp, Wagyu beef, broccoli side, and creme brûlée. Each were wonderful. Shrimp had a great taste and light and crunch tempura coating. Wagyu beef took a while to arrive but was wonderfully cooked and the turnip strips on top were delicious. Creme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had. Broccoli was rich and buttery and NOT soggy or over cooked. Only complaint is that there was a pesky fly that would not leave us or our food alone :(

Went to Eddie Merlot’s on Thanksgiving and had their Thanksgiving menu. The turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and salad were really good. The turkey specifically was really well cooked, and it’s sauces were amazing. The service was also quick and on time. They created a really nice environment for Thanksgiving and the holidays. Just a classy restaurant you can’t go wrong with, highly recommended.

Food was excellent; no complaints at all. Cocktails were good also. However the waitress was the worst experience our party of 8 had ever had ever experienced for an upscale steak and seafood restaurant. “Rugile” needs to be fired and should not be working in a high priced restaurant. She was inappropriate and rude after she asked if we wanted to split the check and we replied “yes, there are 4 couples”. She was annoyed, treated us as inferior, told us “no one does that here” and it would have to take 20min for her to re-run our drink orders. We weren’t given wine menus- had to ask for them. She had errors on 3/4 of the couples checks when she brought them out and told us to “mark them up with a pen and she would try to fix them when her manager had time, but it would take 15min”. The bottles of wine weren’t opened until 3 people were finished eating their steaks. She blamed us and said the bottles we chose were just very hard to open. We overheard her talking about us to another table nearby, unfortunately, also. The sea bass was excellent but she mentioned “seafood at a place like this isn’t as good as if you go to a real seafood restaurant” right as I was eating it. Rugile, you have no business here. Please for the love of your chef and other staff, get rid of her.

Literally one of the best dining spots in the area. Was pleased from the moment we stepped on until the time we paid our tab. Our service was spectacular or waiter was kind, efficient, and professional. We didn't wait long for anything Antonio was excellent and our tip reflected that. I ordered steak and it Exceeded my expectations. Was cooked to perfection. I didn't care to much for the sauce but it wasn't terrible. My husband ordered the chicken and the lobster macaroni and cheese. Was also very good. I ordered an apple martini and I felt pretty good after so I'd say the drinks are pretty good as well. I seen a few families and it is wheelchair accessible.

You missed the mark, Eddie Merlot’s! Had Mother’s Day brunch today. The filet roast and lamb were somewhere between rare and raw. The pork loin was medium rare (who wants medium rare pork?) and the food on the buffet was cold. Not just room temperature, I’m talking cold. Sweet potatoes and chicken were nice and warm though and shrimp cocktail was good. Definitely not worth $75/per person. Won’t choose this brunch again.

Eddie Mer-No🫤 The potatoes were overly saturated/ drowning in butter. The salad dressing tastes like mayonnaise and I didn’t receive any utensils. Very “meh”.

Mediocre experience especially considering the prices. The food was ok (nothing memorable). Hardworking staff but drinks kept coming out really late. The decor is reminiscent of a McMansion from the 90’s. We aren’t coming back.

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and were out for dinner. The waitress Zoey was great and did her best to provide the best service she could. However the food was very disappointing and the lounge area was extremely loud. They were out of chicken entree at 6pm. Two Salmon dishes were very salty and it took forever for the kitchen to make food. We even saw other people leave early because of food delays. Wouldn't go back for sure.

Food was very good but, arguably overpriced. The service was spotty, very attentive to totally neglected. We were asked if we were celebrating a special occasion when I made the reservation. We were. It was my wife and mine's 50th wedding anniversary. After dinner an unsolicited dessert was brought out, a tiny cup of creme brulee and a 2 inch square piece of carrot cake sporting a burning candle. We were a party of six! Nice gesture, but when the bill arrived, the dessert was on the bill! One would normally expect that this would be compted, especially since we departed over $800 lighter.

We had a bridal shower brunch in their beautiful private room. The food was so fresh and delicious. Mike made the event. He was the best at making sure everyone had What they wanted.Thank you Mike.

Our server was absolutely rude. We had a reservation at 8:30 on august 2nd for my sister in laws birthday, we were seated by a wonderful host. Through out the 20 minutes of us arriving and being seated, the server made comments about us being late, seemed like he did not want to bother with us or even let alone be near us. As we left due to the unprofessional service, he said “the Cheesecake Factory is right across the street.” What kind of server is that? Maybe he was judging us by our looks, who knows. All I know is that I believe in karma and people who are like that don’t go very far in the world.

Thank you very much for your delicious dishes. I don’t remember the names, a wonderful girl at the bar with dark long hair. Makes delicious drinks. Very professional and fast bartender Antonio. I love coming to your place for Happy Hour. Delicious drinks and delicious appitizer. Thank you boss for doing the right marketing for your restaurant.

I attended a trade show inthe backroom which was very nice the service was phenomenal. However the steak that I had was very rare a little too rare had to send it back. They fixed it however it shouldn't've come out that way. Everything else was really good the food was very good

It was fine. We sat in the bar. It was Friday so no happy hour which was fine but the hostess said there was ☹️. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us. We ended up only having drinks and apps because we had to get home and it just took so long. We went before years ago when they first opened and were hoping for better this time. We were sadly mistaken. For the money find somewhere else.

I dined here for my birthday, and it exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, our waiter Andrew was very knowledgeable on wine and food pairing. It made my birthday an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend Eddie Merlot's to anyone who is looking for a superb dining experience!!

We celebrated a graduation in the private party area and enjoyed all the food that was served. We were especially impressed by the excellent service provided by our server Mike. Would highly recommend their salmon and mashed potatoes!

This restaurant in our neighborhood. Upscale in decor ,food , service and wine list . Pleasant atmosphere for drinks or dinner, or big celebration. Different quality of the food for big group compare to individual order. Bought the membership but they lost a truck of my points. Don’t buy it , does make any sense. Over all it is a good restaurant at the north side .

Anniversary dinner on Monday July 3rd. The lounge seating room was nicely energetic. We chose the dining room. Wine and cocktail, grilled romaine, sea bass, filet trio. All very good. Love the chairs. Service was very good as well.

Great ambience and good food. However, couple of steaks needed to be sent back as they were not done as per order. Wait staff was very attentive and took care of it immediately.

To start, when we were sat at our table we had no napkins, no salt & pepper shakers and had to ask for a wine menu. We both ordered the Lobster & Corn bisque as an appetizer, I ordered the 8 Oz Wagyu Filet (rare) & the hubby ordered the 10 Oz filet medium rare, for our side we ordered the Brussels and bacon. I had to remind the server to bring our soup before dinner was served, which was OK but the corn was crispy hard. When our dinner arrived we had to ask for steak knives, my wagyu was definitely not an 8 Oz steak and the bottle of Paraduxx we ordered arrived much later after our dinner and the Brussels & Bacon had NO flavor. Then, to top it all off, one of the children at the table next to us vomited all over right after our dinner was served, the server and the manager were immediately made aware but decided to just leave the vomit where it was while we tried to eat our dinner. I can't fathom how this restaurant has any good reviews, especially at this price point (My bill was $357, before tip, for a party of 2)

Truly average in every aspect but the pricing. Wait staff is Chilis level, steaks were Outback quality, and not a side elegant and daring enough to leave out bacon. Atmosphere was decent though. Wouldn’t return. Not even a chance.

Eddie merlots was wonderful. The food was not only quality but the staff and our waiter were very kind and respectful. I would recommend to anyone looking for surf and turf or someone who wants to treat their significant other to a great meal!

Underwhelming. I dropped $300 including tip for dinner for two. $65 on a 10oz filet that wasn't an amazing piece of meat to begin with and not cooked properly on top of that. I wasn't so upset that I was "that guy" to return my meal or complain, but our waiter realized we weren't blown away and stayed away from us for the second half out our time there after entrees were served. Drinks were healthy pours. Appetizers were good. French onion soup was OK. Can't remember the last time I didn't finish a bowl since I absolutely love this treat - reminds me of my mom - but I didn't finish it. Too much soup and onion - not enough bread. Salmon was OK. Mac and cheese was good. Asparagus was what you'd expect. By the time desert became a possibility, we had had enough mediocrity from someplace I had heard was really good. Its OK. Nothing more. Solid three stars and a great big "meh".

It was good, but I can't give it more than 4 stars, because there were too many negatives. First, the food is extremely overpriced. I ordered the bison filet, which was absolutely fantastic. It was cooked perfectly and was literally the best piece of meat I have ever eaten. However, it was also the smallest, and $50 for this tiny piece of meat is just outrageous. It looked ridiculous when it was served, because it was just the smallest steak you've ever seen, in the middle of a large white plate with nothing else on it. Same thing for the crab cakes. They're not very good. Obviously fried, not baked/broiled, and also not homemade. No lump crab meat in them at all, and extremely tiny. Mashed potatoes side was very good, but the brussel sprouts were not. Cocktails were excellent, and so was the service, but I doubt I would come back here again based on the quantity of food for the price.

Live music in our section. Steak was good, cooked well. Service wasn't bad at. Can't justify the price vs the value of food quality. (Onion strings) overall Good not great. Drinks are on the lighter side but nothing special. Great boubon selection though.
