The portions are wild, and the food just slaps. The combo platter is amazing, but the steak shines. Get the babaganoush. Do it.

Good luck getting all of your order. They have messed my order up on DoorDash 5 out of 5 times. I used to love this place but have had nothing but issues here. I loved it so kept trying but enough is enough. They can’t even correct your order once they mess it up because they don’t have their own drivers.

I got the yogurt salad and it was RANCH with little slices of cucumbers. It’s very misleading to put that on the menu and then serve customers ranch and say it’s yogurt. I’d leave a 0 star review but it won’t let me but 0/5 I’m not stepping foot in that place again.

I moved from this place about two years ago and I've been trying to find someone who makes the chicken shawarma as good. It's basically been a quest for me now to try out every Mediterranean restaurant in any area that I visit. After going to over 300 Mediterranean restaurants across 15~ states, I have failed to find one that is as good as this restaurant. It's a bit bittersweet. I don't know what it is, but I love the way this restaurant cooks their food. So much, that I might travel back, just to go to to this restaurant and nothing more.

As a middle easterner my self, this has to be the best middle eastern food I have had in my 40 years of living. I’ve tried every item on the menu and all of them are my favorite. And the Turkish coffee was not too thin or too thick, just right and a perfect addition after dinner. Go Jerusalem Cafe!

Delicious restaurant, food so amazing, price is very reasonable, restaurant is very nicely located, food serving time is very reasonable, sitting arrangements are excellent. I love their beef Shawarma and Falafel. Only problem is there is no parking space, you have to either park on the street that is very unavailable or you have to park across the mall parking lot

If you don't know much about middle eastern food, come here and learn. Great grilled meats, superb hummus. Good staff and smoothies. Peach smoothie wonderful. Just great food, low key environment.

I love this place! I went back today, after not having gone for years. The food is still fast, filling, and flavorful. The prices are amazing, compared to other restaurants in the area with similar offerings. It still remains on my top five for Middle Eastern dishes in the Chicago area. I'm happy to say, the consistency over the years has remained the same.

I order on grubhub once a week and they are cheap with their hot sauces. There’s no option to add more hot sauce. You could only add one per order. I always put in the notes to add two more. I will not be ordering from them again. Customer service sucks. They never read the notes.

“Lamb kabob” no way! More like bits and pieces of sour lamb. Hummus was gross, vegetables look like frozen veggies and rice is flavorless. Who even writes good reviews for this place!

The food was really great and the portions were generous, but there is a deeper reason I will be coming back whenever possible, and that is this establishment's culture of supporting women. Let me explain. When I stopped in on a Friday to grab some lunch, I noticed 2 small children and a baby in the back corner. It became clear their mom, who was the cashier & foodrunner, must have had her sitter cancel that day, and was forced to take her children to work with her. Not every place would have allowed that, but the kids were ensconced with snacks and a tablet, there for the long haul of her shift. When the baby got fussy, I helped the little girl with the baby's bottle, while mom ran back and forth a few times to check on things. On the way out, I thanked the owner for supporting working women, and he just shrugged and said "that's how we do it here" like it was no big deal. ❤

The one in Lombard is a lot better with more service and friendly environment. Came to this location once but had hair in food..... never again will stick to Lombard location.

The food was not good, portion, taste, and texture.... pieces of the meat were hard and appeared burnt. The service was horrible. I’ve gone here several times in the past and the food was exceptional which is why I was there... However, due to the horrible service by the counter help and my meat being dry and somewhat burned... I will not patronize them again. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone again. It is extremely disheartening to go into an establishment that one has frequented many times...I have even recommended this place to others!!! I do not know why the counter help was rude and unhelpful. I do not know why I was served food I would not give a DOG...

All I have to say is WOW!! I love Israeli cuisine so when I saw this place, I had to try! I had the combination feast and I was literally blown away with how much flavor and tender the meat was. I moved to Chicago about 2 months ago and this is by far the best food I’ve had since living here. Definitely a must try for everyone. You won’t be disappointed - highly recommend 💯

Amazing falafels, rice, hummus, pita, and salad. As a vegetarian this has been one of my fave spots for years! Service is great and my 2 year old finished his plate as well. Highly recommend taking a big large size hummus to go as well to keep in the fridge, it puts store bought to shame!!

This has been some of the best food I’ve ever had! Today was the first time trying it. And so many vegan options. I had the avocado falafel pita and it was absolutely delicious and so filling. Staff was very kind, patient and hard working during the busy time that I was there

Worst place ever. We ordered lamb he sent beef and was arguing saying it’s lamb. We lamb on regular basis and know the taste of it. When we called to ask he was very rude and hanged up the phone on us. Very bad customer service. Bad food. He is adding beef and calling it lamb. Not sure what his chicken is made of. Updating* 09.16.2020 - he was rude and disrespectful, we know how lamb tastes. we grew up eating Lamb. We were not willing to go back as we did not have a ride and that is the reason we even ordered using doordash. Very rude.

I have given this place several tries as I grew up on this type of food. Every time I eat from here I am surprisingly more and more regretful. Food quality is not good, most meals from here taste nothing like traditional meals. The grape rolls are bland and overcooked, portion sizes are tiny, food some item is always inedible (last time salad wasn’t washed and this time falafel tasted old/musty).

My husband and I really love this place but I'm a little disappointed on my order today. I ordered the lamb entree and the chicken shwarma entree with extra meat in both.
