Great trails rode my horse for miles. Nice flat trails. Can ride your horse bare.foot.

A crucial wetland habitat for the Mississippi Flyway migrants. The preserve is technically closed to visitors and there is no parking. Parking outside of the main gate runs a risk of being towed. With decent binoculars or scope, you can see the variety of wildlife from your car.

Saw Indigo Bunting, House Wren, Song Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Baltimore Oriole, Blue Swallow, Common yellowtail, Cormorant, and Great Herons here. Also a deer. No place to park so we walked to it. Wear long pants if you're going into the grass because there are no worn trails.

Great place to see some birds. We went this past weekend and saw a hawk, orioles, heron, swallows, yellow throat, wrens, cormorant, and bunting. Even saw a baby deer and heard some birds nests. It was difficult to access, we parked in a neighborhood off north mill road and walked along 120 and then almond. No where to park on site but it was great. There's a short paved road we waked along but the grass was very tall so difficult to walk throw. We didn't really go into the grass but we had Binoculars.

I give the birdwatching 5 stars. Great place to observe many different species in the spring. I wish the trail went farther around the marsh.

Beautiful place. Not really any parking though. Good place for birders.

Nice place to walk, run, bike or ski (groom your own trail) depending on the season
