    A. PITTSBURGH. MUST. Located in The Strip, right across from The Terminal, the location is convenient and cute. The area has a lot of character. We ordered some beers, the pull apart garlic bread, and a pizza. Beer, good. Garlic bread, good. The pizza, TO DIE FOR!! These people know how to make a Detroit style pizza, absolutely delicious! My only regret is that we wasted stomach space with the beer and bread and didn’t order two pizzas!!

This is the best pizza myself and my friend has had during our duration in Pittsburgh. I got the Buffalo Chicken with a side ceaser salad and it was delicious! Service was good.

Okay, this pizza is criminally delicious from beginning to end. It's literally one of the best pizzas I have ever had. We came here to check it out ad it's highly rated and we were not disappointed. The pizzas came out hot, fast and very delicious. I felt bad dipping my crust in ranch. If you're a pizza enthusiasts like I am, you'll have no problems finding something delicious here. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and the environment is great. Come check this place out!

This was our first visit here and it sure was a treat to find this place! The staff was very friendly and accommodating...Shout out to the hostess Bella, not only was she gracious and informative about the restaurant, but said it would be a 10 minute wait and she was spot on! As we walked in, the aroma of an Italian kitchen had us set on getting a couple of pizzas! We ordered the Chicken, Bacon and Broccoli Ranch Pie...which was over the top fantastic and also a vegan style pizza called Humble Pie. Wasn't sure how that second one was going to taste but let me tell you it was out of this world! The unique style of a square pizza gave us a crispy crust on all sides and it was just delicious!! Can't wait to visit again, as their menu is packed with all kinds of yummy items! I can see why Iron Born Pizza has won so many awards!! Kudos to the chef and they're wonderful staff!! You have to give this restaurant a try, it won't disappoint!!

Decent thick pizza served hot and fresh. Stopped here for the first time and our Detroit style pizza selections certainly helped to resolve our lunchtime hunger fix. Would have liked a little bit more sauce for the size of the crust and would like to taste a little bit more of a garlic or flavor seasoning in it to take it to that next level. Pizza pricing was decent and as expected. I ordered wings but with so much going on our waitress forgot the order. It was okay because the pizza slices were huge. No parking was available and the spot in the Strip appeared with very limited seating but they did their best to move folks in and out with the busy Open Streets Pittsburgh crowd. They did have a mini bar with seating on site as well.

Wayyyyyy overpriced. Lacks flavor. 2 beers, 2 small pizzas and one appetizer was 😳 almost $80! white pizza was eh. Too much lemon oil. Way too much arugula on top. I didn’t care for the garlic sauce at all and i love garlic. The garlic bread didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. The cheese on the pizza was “waxy” with little flavor. We were super excited because it had good reviews- but this is a definite one time only visit. Little flavor, big money. Warm water. Small and quaint.

Pizza is very good ! Home made chips were also good. It is however very hot in this location. I don't know how those people work in there. Service was great though!

Excellent Detroit pie! Buffalo chicken is the best. The globs of ricotta on top!! 🤤 The warm olives are also delicious. Will be back!

Nice place but the service was a little bit slow. The house made chips and French onion dip was the star of the show. The pizza, sauce and toppings were good but a little too much dough for my liking.

Pizza is strange. Guess I didn’t understand Detroit style has sauce on top. Didn’t like that. They should probably explain that. The food wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. Very overpriced (15 dollars for an 8x10 cheese pizza). But it is downtown, so there’s that. Decent beer prices and selection. Very middle of the road and expensive. Wouldn’t recommend or say no. Mediocre at best.

So very delicious. Square pizza is where it's at. This casual restaurant serves pizza and fresh made pasta offering seasonal choices. Do not over look this fantastic establishment

I know this place for a while as they are famous for their Detroit Style Pizza. Ordered a spicy pie, very delicious. Crust is chewy, toppings are affluent, the flavor created by red sauce and pepperoni is great, tempered by banana pepper for a spicy touch. I am glad there is such a good place in Pittsburgh for Detroit Style Pizza. Will definitely visit again for other flavors.

The pizza was bomb and the chips with an onion dip was so delicious. The waitress was really nice recommending what to order and she was really helpful and friendly. The place gets busier as it gets to dinner time, I was lucky to go right before the busy hours so I didn’t need to line up. Totally recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed and may very well be back before my trip ends - food was delicious. We got one each of the Nashville Hot Chicken and the Cheese only pie. Nothing left to take with us. Also had the chips and onion dip starter and canoli finisher 😀

Pittsburgh locals (yinzers) swear by their classic pizzerias (of which there are no shortage) such as Fiori's, Beto's, Mineo's, etc, but this new comer has quickly become my favorite pizza place in the city. While it may be considered sacrilege here to not award this title to the classics, the younger generation will agree that this is one of the best pizza spots in town. What to get: Iron Born serves Detroit deep dish pizza with crispy edges. You can't go wrong here, every pizza is fantastic. Origins: This place opened as part of the Smallman Galley food hall (I believe around the mid-2010's), then opened it's first standalone location in Millvale (no seating at this location but order a pie and head to the brewery down the street to eat it), opened it's second location (this one) back in the Strip District down the street from where it began.

We got the baked Mac n cheese, pizza and the garlic bites. All great! Price was a bit high but in this day everything is high. Food was fantastic! If you’re in the city great place for pizza!
