Very rude receptionist at check in 4/4/22. I made an appointment and was told my insurance was accepted, upon arrival it was not. Had the receptionist used the slightest bit of customer service skills while informing me (as I was filling out paperwork) I would have been competly understanding of this type of mix up. She did not, so here I am letting you know how you could start your week if you make a first-time patient appointment here.

As it seems is common here, rude at the desk and when making appointment over the phone was told insurance was accepted and they doubled down on it when I confirmed everything via email. Once there was told insurance wasn't accepted and it was my problem. Will definitely not be recommend them to anyone I know.

This second visit just confirmed my prior feelings. I don't appreciate a professional talking to me in a condescending manner and dismissing my questions like I'm the village idiot. The ointments have helped, but because of their strength, they cannot be used for a long period and are not resolving the source, whatever that may be. Maybe I am just an old lady that magically developed this rash 2-1/2 months ago because of dry skin (my partner also started scratching his skin off at the same time, after being in a personal hot tub at a cabin we rented). Skin is our largest organ; I have always taken excellent care to apply moisturizer daily and monitor my home's humidity as well as keep myself hydrated with plenty of water intake. This didn't start when the furnace came on, it was still in the 90s outside. I thought getting hives as a kid was bad (allergies to wool & chocolate)...this constant itch makes you batty.

I LOVE being able to get a fast appointment, but after two visits I was told the random rash on my arm is just something I have to live with and not given any options. No skin scraping or biopsy was done. Unacceptable.

Pleasant experience as far as provider interactions. Have had nothing but problems with their billing department. Have been round and round with them regarding a bill paid back in Nov. with proof of payment. Still arguing with them. Very incompetent! Honestly makes me not want to return to the practice.

Have been going to see Dr Stokar for many years. He is a great dermatologist. I would definitely recommend him.

I had a really pleasant experience here. The place is definitely busy, and you could feel that they were getting hit pretty hard that day. The appointment was fast-paced but at the same time it didn't necessarily feel rushed. The doctor was polite, took plenty of time to make sure all of my questions were answered, and explained everything to the point where I was content with my understanding. Definitely will be coming back here for my next dermatologist appointment.

We have been to the doctors at least 4 times to try to figure out what to do about my daughters breakouts. When the breakout got very severe right before she was slated to start her first year in high school she was so worried. I found advances dermatology and they were able to fit her in the very next day and what the prescribed her work almost instantly in a few days her breakout was clear and her confidence was back
