This was a really great place to work ! the staff where very welcoming and friendly ! However i got terminated randomly without performance review. Which was a little confusing on the account that i started 2 -3 weeks ago & was still on 6 week orientation ( aka training ). When i asked why i was being terminated the reason was because i was not performing well on formula making ( my first time making formula in large volumes ) and taking vitals manually ( i was completely new to taking vitals manually as a prior Nursing Assistant i never took vitals manually so that was new to me) you would think you have 6 weeks to learn all of that. However, it was not stated on the first day of work that you need to know how to do those things 2-3 weeks after you start orientation. i was very confused and still am as to why i was not given a warning or performance review before i was terminated. Most places will review your performance with you so that you are aware ! over all this place is great i just think there needs to be more communication between new employees and employer.

I have had a terrible experience at this hospital!. I'm on mmt and benzos, but lost my doctor for my kpins throughout the last year. I cut my kpin dose down to. 5 a day but still had cyf involved. My child spent two months at the center and was scored basically on bad stomach gas. I watched my cyf case take two months to close, all clean urines and a wonderful home. I feel as though my child was kept drugged as quite coincidence her treatment and my case ran hand in hand. I'm out raged by this! Then I did fall asleep lying on a loveseat holding my 11 pound daughter on my chest. The very first time I fell asleep I was not "warned" like the rules say. I was banned from seeing my daughter until I took a urine screen for cyf!! Unbelievable, I've been in treatment 5 plus years, and I'm a great mom to my kids. I feel as if I have been judged based on my past!!!

I was there with my son and and they wouldn't let him go home because he was .08 under his birth weight...that's the only reason.i was so upset and was very unhappy with this.also I know someone else that's there and nurse's were treating them unfairly. Security staff was friendly and a few of the nurses but I feel they just kept my son longer for money reasons since I had great insurance.

Its a great place to take your child instead of hanging out at the hospital and. Also they have a "nesting room" where parents have a queen sized bed a tv.a phone and cam have your baby in the room also or if you are tired than leave baby upstairs in his or her room and get some sleep but beware the nurses very fake and they take notes on EVERY LITTLE thing you say and do!!

My son was admitted in June to the Rehab Unit after surgery. I was super skeptical because of how small the facility was compared to the hospital. We went in not knowing if our son would ever walk again. He defied the odds and walked after 1 week. We were even able to bring him home and do outpatients therapy. Thank you so much Brittany & Erick for everything you did. You worked a miracle on our son!

Thank you to Courtney & Ashley in the Green Unit. I appreciate all you do and continue to do. Not only for Jovanni and all the other patients. I am touched by you all especially the doctors. Thank you and God bless you all. It was a beautiful experience you all provided to me.

Spent nearly two months there learning how to take care of my granddaughter who is medically fragile. My daughter and I learned so much from these wonderful nurses and health care providers. I think every city that has a children's hospital should have a Children's Home.

I worked as a Travel RN at TCH and absolutely love it. This is the largest group of genuine people I’ve seen in one facility. Of course there are a few bad eggs, but I would trust 90% of this dedicated staff with my family.

Wow this place was amazing! My baby was transferred there from Magee and she was not doing well there they couldn’t get her where she needed to be but as soon as she went to the children’s home she only spent 1 week there and was completely better gaining weight they did such a good job with her plus they have sleeping rooms you can get to rest when you need it and you get 3 meals a day such a nice place would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!! Thank you to the nurses and the nurse practitioners for pushing my baby where she needed to be and Getting us home in 1 week. 😊
