View from here was soo nice covering most off both backwaters and after Dam canals. A little hill you have to climb for the view. Heavily crowded during monsoon weekends and when water released from dam. We could see the whole picture from here. Light house is closed you cannot go up and see.

Spectacular dam fed by a spectacular river. The views from Sunset Point were gorgeous and we got the added bonus of seeing the partial solar eclipse. The Singing Fountains were entertaining too.

Tungabhadra Dam is considered as the biggest dam in Karnataka. This multi-purpose dam is built across Tungabhadra River in Hospet. The dam which has 33 gates provides water for irrigation, drinking water and is also used for electricity generation

Great place to visit with family for weekend outing. This viewpoint will give you and overview of TB Dam area. Park your vehicle at entrance of TB Dam and from there board Bus which is run by the Dam management. It costs you 20 rupees and a 10 minutes run to the top at light house view point. Other facilities like Boating, Garden, Fish aquarium, Deer park are also available. In evening you can enjoy water fountain dancing with musical lights.

Situated near Hospet city of Karnataka state. Picnic & Tourist spot of Hospete City. Various tourist attractions are here for full enjoyment like River View, Dam, Garden, Zoo, Fish Aquarium, etc. Bus services are available here to reach from main Highway to top of Hill/ Dam. You can also go through your private vehicles but many times private vehicles are not allowed to reach hill top, so either you take Bus service or go by walk. View of Dam and Garden is amazing and you won't get bored here. To visit whole are it requires minimum full day. Dam area is also very good and colorful lights are being decorated on special occasions.

This was our last day visit in Hampi. We travelled by local Karnataka transport buses from Kamlapur which was very cheaper. After entering the area of the dam we have a bus to take at the top, with merely 20 rupees tickets per person. Near reaching the light house we see entire view of the dam and calm and magnificent river behind. Wonderful place to click some beautiful pics. Same bus takes you down at the garden and entry of the dam which is prohibited. After coming back down there is a beautiful lake where boating facility is available for just 150 rupees for one boat. It was definitely enjoyable.

Dam is beautiful. Breath taking view of water and while sunset it's awesome to see the water in back drops. We enjoyed 4 hours in dam premises. Maintainance has to be done for transport , drinking water and toiletries.

From the entry point, you have to walk around 1.5 km to reach the spot and view of the dam section from here is nice. The light house is closed for public entry when i visited. And i belive its all time same. The bus service is good and recommended if you are not a person who like to walk .
