Exceeded my expectations and I felt that the value was incredible. Very clean. Excellent fresh breakfast options and local pastries were delicious. Nice little details show they care about your comfort. Room slipper option was appreciated. Friendly staff even offered to get the sauna going for us while we settled in after arriving at 2am. I would choose this over the big chains any day.

Had a great stay. Perfect location for watching volleyball at NMU! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We used their amazing sauna both days we were there. LOVED the fresh breads/pastries from a local bakery at the complimentary breakfast. The hotel has laundry, ice, fitness center and fresh baked cookies! Will definitely stay there again if we get back to Marquette. AND...super comfortable beds!

Always a nice place to stay. Polite service. Clean rooms. Small, but nice workout room. Nicely decorated lobby. I will choose Superior when I stay in Marquette.

We love staying at Superior Stay! The rooms are clean, staff is always friendly, convenient location is great and the owners really care about the experience they provide. It is our go to hotel when we travel to Marquette (without our dogs).

INCREDIBLY clean and friendly! This was a last minute find for me as I have as student that attends NMU. This was oh so close to campus (could walk), close to the shore (walked there too) close to so many restaurants and the Dome. HUGE rooms--extremely client care focused. Very affordable. Highly recommend--will be staying again!

Great location, easy access to the university and downtown. Rooms were spacious and included everything I needed. Service was friendly and helpful from the time I walked in. Breakfast was also nice as was the 24/7 hot beverages and snacks.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were able to check in early. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay an extra night. The breakfast was delicious. They even baked cookies midday so you could have a little treat when returning from your daily adventures.

Perfect location for our trip to NMU. Walking distance to great restaurants and coffee shops. The interior of the hotel appeared recently remodeled. The staff was very friendly and helpful- gave me a great hiking recommendation! The breakfast in the morning exceeded my expectations for a continental breakfast. I would definitely stay again!

I loved the little amenities this hotel has, Kleenex and hand sanitizer are strategically placed throughout the hotel, the washer and dryer availability is pretty amazing for the guests, the breakfast was very good, I liked the bread brought in daily from the local bakery and the coffee, tea, cookies and granola bars in the lobby that is available all day. Great place to stay and close to Northern Michigan University when visiting a student. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you!

We were in town for the marathon. The location of the hotel was perfect and the staff was very accommodating. They had breakfast out early prior to the race and were super friendly. They also had filtered water in the ice machine and a washer and dryer available for use at no charge. Plus in the lobby there was a kuerig with well stocked supply of coffees and teas, snack bars, and cookies in evening. The room was well maintained and clean.

Very clean, staff was always very nice, and very accommodating. Breakfast was always delicious. My only suggestion would be the bed mattress was slightly dented on one side you could tell that anyone who ever slept there slept on that side. So they may wanna turn the mattress. But the mattress was comfortable.

Good location for downtown, walkable, easy access. Staff was friendly, rooms clean and quiet. Overall a great hotel for the price. The breakfast was really good and we enjoyed the local bakery goods that came with it!

This was a welcoming and comfortable hotel. Loved the non-carpet floors. Room space was good. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices that aren't found elsewhere. Convenient to places to eat and sightseeing opportunities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here twice and both times it was a fantastic stay! The employees are welcoming and great to work with. The rooms were clean and beds were wonderful. The location for walking anywhere in the city is fabulous. Breakfast was nice to have and they have a locally brewed coffee when we were there-loved the pastries the most. Will definitely stay again when in Marquette!

The young woman who checked us in was more than friendly and professional, she was also amusing and welcoming. She gave us great advice on where to find a dinner that we loved. Everyone else that we met who was on staff was also very friendly and kind. The room was comfortable, they didn't waste counter space on coffee service because there's coffee in the lobby all the time. I liked not having it in the room. We had everything we needed and I noticed that while all the rooms around us were occupied, I didn't hear anything. Breakfast was really nice, there were several choices. In particular they had a Greek yogurt bar with toppings, and I really enjoyed that. All in all it was a fantastic day and a great location a stone's throw from the university and perfectly situated for a beautiful walk downtown. Excellent value, I highly recommend it and I would seek to stay here again.

Superior Stay was an amazing place to stay for our trip up for the Marquette Marathon. It is within walking distance to a lot of the restaurants, and a short driving distance to other things such as parks and trails. The staff at the hotel was super friendly, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and we appreciated a hotel that actually had decent water pressure up on the 3rd floor. The complimentary breakfast was perfect and saved us $ from going out to find something in the mornings. The water/ice machine was great to use for filling up our bottles before we went to explore trails post race. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious as well!! We were even told there was a washer and dryer available for use if we needed it, with Tide pods available at the front desk. Loved our time there so much we already made reservations for fall of next year to see the leaves change color!! Superior Stay blows all of the other Marquette hotels out of the water.

Okay let's talk about this hotel! This hotel utilizes their space so efficiently! The breakfast has many different options! They have coconut shavings, dried cherries, nuts, etc just for their yogurt! They have this cool pancake maker that automatically makes pancakes with a push of the button and you get to watch! The kids will love it! They have muffins, donuts, huge croissants, hot oatmeal, cereal, etc. They even offer take out boxes for the breakfast! The staff is friendly and helpful. They have many opportunities within the hotel for guests to receive any additional assistance or supplies! One thing I absolutely loved is the text line! I hate phone calls! I loved that I was able to send in a late check out request via text and got an immediate response. One thing I would love to remind the guests that stay here is this is definitely a hotel that puts their money into improving their site to offer more convenience for their guests. Tips are always appreciated as a worker in the customer service/ service industry. The breakfast has a tip box and it never hurts to leave a small thank you for the people cleaning the room after you use it!

Conveniently located near the NMU campus and several restaurants. Hikes, Presque Isle Park, and other places are within close driving distance. The hotel has a nice fitness room, plenty of complimentary breakfast options and parking, and a washer and dryer guests can use for free. The rooms are clean and have several nice features, including a comfortable bed, different lighting options, a refrigerator, and toiletries. The hotel staff were friendly, and checkout was super easy - you can just scan a QR code and leave your keys in the room. The room felt a bit tight and there isn't a pool, but overall we thought it was a great value for the price and we will return if back in the area.

Literally such a nice hotel! Very clean, quiet, comfortable. Soaps smelled great. We checked in quite late, desk attendant was very friendly and accommodating. Awesome breakfast. Such a nice experience at an unbeatable price.

We had a teardrop camper we were towing. My husband loves a parking lot where it’s easy to park it. This was it! Also, the hotel is clean, great water pressure in the bathroom. A bathtub, (after camping…very welcomed!) Room comfortable. Great price. Just what we needed.

This was a very good hotel. The rooms are super nice, the staff are very nice. The breakfast is okay. I didn’t have a problem with it. It’s right next to a gas station, which is awesome. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located in the perfect spot, just a mile outside of downtown Marquette (that is easily walkable, if you don’t mind the hills!) and right on the edge of campus. The breakfast spread is amazing, and the staff is very nice.
