Wonderful place to visit atleast once. It has boating service at affordable cost to the island where we can have a beautiful view around and enjoy the water. No cloak room or changing room is available there is the only flaw there. Have to carry all our belongings to the island. Try to avoid footwear. Wear clothes accordingly as we will have water above knees normally.

Amazing experience can have it here. Safe and secure water lake. Snacks n sea food is available at the location. Boating is cheaper. Beautiful location for clicks. Children will enjoy the water.

Can be a good weekend outing spot. This place is actually gaining popularity recently with small stalls installed selling kulukki sarbath, karikk and other limited cool drinks. Pay and park facilities are available. But I recommend not to use that instead you can drive close to the boat jetty and park on road side, instead of walking long distances paying parking fee.

The water at sambrani Kodi thuruth is too muddy and unclean and slippery at some places...carry extra clothes for your kids... Plastic wastes too float about here and there.. the boat lascars and locals were friendly.. overall it was a good experience..We Toured in the 'See Astamudi' Boat of tourism department ... 500rs per person for upper deck... 400 for lower deck..total journey is around five Hours..(Book your seats in advance)...food costs extra and will be provided by kudumba shree members inside the Boat itself...Never knew that Astamudi lake was this beautiful ❤️......only drawback I find is regarding some travellers indulging in the consumption of alcohol inside the boat...( which is ok for me if they doesn't become nuisance to others, but my parents were irritated at that sight)..

A pleasant destination in Kollam district for enjoying with friends or family; the atmosphere is good. Bus services are available from Anchalumoodu (Prakkulam bus). The booking office is situated 100m from the bus stop, with parking for private vehicles nearby. Boat service from the booking office to the island is priced at Rs 150 per head (including both sides). Upon reaching the island, small boats are available for exploring the area at Rs 50 to 100 per head (based on distance). Also, please remember to keep the area free from plastic waste, Guys

It s a nice island in Kollam, we visited there in a public holiday with family.

A must visit place. You can enjoy walking through the shallow water and mangrove shades.

Good place to hang out but full of waste. Also the boat charge to reach island to a distance of about 150 metre is Rs.150 per person which is overpriced.
