Our Lady of the rock is an artificial island in Montenegro. The city of Perast can be seen opposite. The church is something amazingly beautiful and has a great historical past. Boats depart, boats can be rented in Tivat, Perast, Kotor to access the island.

A beautiful picturesque church on a small man made island about a 5 minute boat ride. We had a lovely half hour over there, would recommend as the church is gorgeous.

Didn't make it out there but plenty of boats offering services. Crowded af in the summer.

One of the few places that I would happily go back to again, purely based on how tranquil the place was (clear skies and no wind also helps!) There are plenty of people offering boat rides to take you to the island which is only a short journey I won’t ruin the story’s behind the pictures as we paid a small fee to the guide on the island which found was worthwhile and value for money. Sometimes it’s best not to know everything before going to somewhere like this so enjoy

It’s a beautiful church and museum located in the middle of the see. The island was made by men of Perast. It’s peaceful and the view was breathtaking. You must visit the island when you visit Montenegro. It was one stop of a tour we took from Kotor by 360 Monte and it was amazing. You have to pay tickets to enter the church and I was cover by the tour.

The cathedral is located on a small island accessible by boat. There is an entrance fee. It contains many historical and religious stories. The interior of the cathedral is small and quiet. The views of Kotor Bay, Perast Village and the surrounding landscape from the island will be a special experience. There are restrooms and a lighthouse dock outside the cathedral. You can also see St. George's Abbey up close.

A must see day trip. The building itself displays incredible artifacts that convey the history and cultural roots of the country. The site is built up over hundreds of sunken sailing ships that have been piled over with rocks. The island continues to expand. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Very beautiful church on artificially made Island. The visit obviously includes a nice sail, so good weather is mandatory. There is a small souvenirs shop, toilets and some refreshment to be purchased. But the main attraction, of course, is the church. Definitely go in, but be mindful that in summer months the church entrance has bad air so it is better to sit in the first part of the church tour. Other than that it is a great landmark.

Small artificially created island in the bay of Kotor (Boka Kotopcka), with a church. Founded on 22 July 1542 when 2 brothers found an icon on a rock. The island was then created around this rock, by slowly adding stones over a tine period if 200 years (and an extra 100 years to build the church). Take a boat from Kotor or the nearby Perast village. Highly recommended visit.

Place you must visit when you are in Bokabay. There is church and museum in it. It is all about sailor life, sea, love and Christianity.

Lovely church with an amazing painted ceiling. Our guide was really well informed and explained every detail of all the paintings and history the church. Well worth a visit but it can be very busy at times.

The bay of Kotor is really cool to experience. 5 star beauty, I was nervous about leaving the sea side and beauty of the coast but don't regret it at all. One of the most memorable places on the planet. The church has a cool legend to it adds to the lake. Going inside the church itself is hit or miss and very busy. But getting a tour boat to take you around is a must.

Beautiful 15th-century church and museum set on an artificial island. Beautiful view of Perast and surroundings. You can get to the island by boat from Perast. There are many providers. We took a break here on our trip through Kotorska Boka. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place with wonderful views. In my opinion a "must see". You can get there by boat for a low price. I just took advantage of a trip organized by locals and we visited several places at once by boat. I recommend :)

You should definitely visit this small island if you are in the bay area. Boats are starting from 10 per person but you can get discounts with some discussion :) . Don't pay for parking! If you are willing to pay for boat then the parking is free. I was not told prior so overpaid a bit.

Beautiful scenery with a boat ride to the pier, worth a visit and not far from city center. Could be quite packed on the days that have a large amount of tourist. Make sure to have finished your toilet business ahead of hopping on the island as there are limited rooms. Time visited: April 2019

The interesting relics pushed it from a 3 to 4 star. But the large number of tourists and crowded small island made it harder to appreciate. The small church has some incredible paintings from the 17th century as well as the oldest Christian artifact from the Balkans region dating back to 200AD. So, definitely some interesting history here. Worth a visit while driving the bay.

Great views and authentic vibe! Try to come early in the morning before tour boats start to navigate. That is the best time.

When you join a boat tour, you can easily get to Our Lady of the Rocks. It is a cozy place. You can enjoy the great scenery of the mountains and Adrian sea.

Beautiful place with an interesting history. Ships would bring loads of rocks back from their journey to build the island. Ancient church is decorated in amazing oil paintings.

A beautiful and unique place to visit. The church is very small and easy to get to. It's a quick visit if there isn't a lot of tourists.

Beautiful church. An island created when the icon of the virgin Mary appeared on a rock. Since then people have left offerings and prayers Great tour. A small place to spend 30-45 minutes Get there before 11 am

Incredible musuem and church. The church is free to enter but the musuem costs 1.5 EUR for adults. Kids are free. It is a small musuem but rich in history in both maritime and religious lore. If you spend the money for a short ferry ride to the island stopping in the musuem is a must.

👍👍 Amazing views of the bay and surrounding mountains. It's a small little island but worth spending 30 minutes or so to walk around and soak in the views. There is a small gift shop on the island that sells drinks and snacks. Also, there are multiple ferry options to and from the island that arrive...
