The food is not bad but for the price it’s not worth it. We had three tapas and two beers for around 36€. Which in Spain is way too much. I would not recommend.

We sat at the patio, across the street from the main restaurant, next to the hotel. The place was pretty basic, the waiters were loud and it wasn't as fancy as they pretended to be. The starters and the salad were very basic: nothing that you couldn't get from any tapas bar in Murcia. We had to return our main dishes (free range chicken) because it was partially raw and there was blood in it. They claim that this is how it is served but they accepted to cook it a bit more. When it came back it was better cooked but still tasteless. Of course no one apologized. One of the worst meal I have ever had during my 5 years in Murcia.

Did not like it, you get in everybody looks at you and nobody bother to ask how to help, the man in the bar is ultra ignorant pretending not seeing me, tried to speak Spanish but he had no time to listen. Once seeing that we wanted to go somewhere else even though we had reservation, we ignored the bar man and get deeper to start speaking to another waiter who recommended us a lady waiter to speak to us in English ( please do not get me wrong I did not expect them to speak English) but more understanding for non Spanish people please! In temes of food, well not good at all, we had pork, goat, and prawns all the food was very salty not for our taste, the best was the pork, for my daughter they prepared crumbled eggs but she agreed to have that and did not eat it as was not good in her opinion, Portions were not enough ( fine dining what I hate) they had a good bread and we had a lot with olive oil! The restaurant is expensive and we were not happy overall, the two stars are for the lady waiter :)

We were there in January 2020, just having a one-day trip to Murcia from Valencia. Considering a high TA rating, we had decided to have a lunch there. I must say, it is a GREAT restaurant. We ordered only their recommendations, and all dishes were delicious. Especially the backed lamb leg (my 7-years old child was delighted) and the fried tuna steak, I had never eaten anything like that, it was gorgeous! Good coffee, much better than in Valencia (thanks to southern location and Arabian influence). From desserts I should highlight a 'fried green leaves in sweet creaspy cream' or something like that (pity, I've forgotten to take a photo of our bill). The prices are high, bit I consider them reasonable (there were 3 of us, and we were charged 107€ with wine, a salad, some starters, lamb, tuna, coffee and deserts). In addition, I'd like to add some words about the interior - it costs to see, I bet. Some photos of mine are attached.

What a feast! I got to try a lot of local dishes most of them prepared in a exquisite way. Not a great fan of the chuletas and the dessert made with lemon a leaf but the rest was delicious. Service was extremely attentive and diligent. Price was fair.

€16 for a plate of garlic prawns (they were tasty though). Granted all I came in for was traditional paella which was not on the menu, so maybe a bit irritated by this. Unfortunately no English speaking waiter, if there was not offered a translator and one of the waiters appeared to focus on my colour (yes am black)!! Lucky main waiter appeared nice. Not the traditional home cooking I was seeking out.

A classic in downtown Murcia. Service was splendid and the spanish traditional menu was solid. There is a nicely ventilated patio which is a great option for cool days.

Best restaurant I have been to in spain. Scored 10/10 on all levels. Very impressive. It has a Michelin star from some years ago. Totally deserved.

El Churra in Murcia was a saver for an evening hunger - but was more than that - cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff, delicious selection of food on the menu and prepared ones behind the bar. Amazing selection of Murcia cuisine dishes - as meat and fish - for a reasonable price. Deserves a visit!

From a special date to a special event, don’t overlook this place. The staff is 100% attentive and goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy every moment. The food and the beverages are both Spanish and European. There’s nothing overlooked.

😐 Very expensive compared to other coffee/breakfast places. We had 2 coffees, 2 orange juices, the yogurt bowl and 2 slices of toast & jam. €28! 😳 The food was delicious but rip off prices for what we had. There are better breakfast stops in Murcia serving just as good food/coffee for much less €.
