Very interesting site. You can get there by bike through the Del Río bike lane or much better through the orchard along the Granada path and several paths, some of which coincide with Murcia's friendly route 4. Around there are other places to visit such as the nearby mills and it allows you to connect with the river very easily. Little traffic, many ditches and lemon orchards.

(Translated by Google) A well-kept and working Ferris wheel, which preserves its aqueduct. Undoubtedly, a highly recommended place to visit to continue knowing our heritage of the Murcian garden, we hope that it continues to be cared for. (Original) Una noria bien cuidada y en funcionamiento, el cuál conserva su acueducto. Sin duda un lugar muy recomendable de visitar para seguir conociendo nuestro patrimonio de la huerta de Murcia, esperemos que se siga cuidando.

Beautiful monument in the middle of the Murcia plain, worth making a stop. Yesterday passing through La Ñora I remembered that when I was little the General Highway, back then, passed through the Noria and it always gave me beautiful sensations and I wanted to visit it. (this time with GPS, because it is in the town). And I saw her again as pretty and stately as I remembered her. Made of iron and functioning as it did in its day. It is a "magic" wheel that, in its day, drew water from medium-depth wells, without human effort, to supply people and crops and promote development. So it well deserves to be recognized for the important role of this "simple" but at the same time "ingenious" invention, paying it a visit, like the one I did yesterday, and which brought me such beautiful memories in my childhood.

The La Ñora wheel is a hydraulic ferris wheel, symbol of the Murcian orchard. The current one, made of metal, replaces one of the previous wooden ones, since there have been several restorations and changes. According to records, the first was located in this place back in 1399. It is in good condition, but not the surrounding area and the rest of the aqueduct that completes this construction. The surrounding orchard area, in a wild style, I personally love. You can walk there in an hour and a half - two hours from the Malecón, the bad thing is that the road has a lot of traffic and quite a few stretches without sidewalks that make it difficult to take the walk and make it much more pleasant. You can go along the river bank (you have to add a couple of km approx. both on the way as on the way back) and go in to look for it when reaching its height, thus avoiding traffic and unsafe areas of the road.

Of Arabic origin, there are references to the Ferris Wheel dating back to 1399. The current iron one, built in 1939, replaced the one built of wood. Its function is to raise water to distribute it to higher lands. Charming and refreshing place.

The Rueda de la Ñora and its aqueduct make up one of the most important orchard monuments in the Murcia orchard. The origins of this ferris wheel date back to the 15th century. The construction, as in other places, was and is intended to lift water from the irrigation ditch (in this case the main ditch of Aljufía). The wheel and aqueduct complex was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1982. Magnificent vestige of our past that has forged our future, making us the orchard of Spain.

(Translated by Google) Rueda de la Ñora, together with its aqueduct, form one of the most important orchard monuments in the Murcian orchard. It has its origin in the fifteenth century. The construction is due to the elevation of water from the canal (in this case the main canal of Aljufía) to other smaller canals that end up in the orchards located at a height higher than that of the canal in which the irrigation channel is located. noria. It was a small unplanned excursion with my daughter, seeing the nearby UCAM campus, after which, guessing a part of the Ferris wheel on the horizon, we decided to visit it.
