Very disappointing experience with Hilton !! The staff was not welcoming at all from day 1. We asked for connection rooms, but they offer two rooms beside each other, when checking the rooms they were not actually next to each other ! We chose the hotel for its services like kids club, but it was closed !! On checking out, we were waiting with the kids in the lobby, then the receptionist told us that the place is reserved for an event !!!! Regarding cleanness, the towels were dirty , the bath tub was spotted ! We asked for a baby crib when checking in and didn’t receive it until a second call at 11:00 pm ! I will never recommend it for any one !

It makes me sad to write this review as we had a fab fab time this been our first holiday with our baby girl. However the reason I’m only giving it 2 stars is because it is a beautiful property, nice resort, great food but.... -1 star as we had ants in our room from hotel gifted chocolates, we immediately called to ask for it to be thoroughly cleaned but was never cleaned properly till our last night. -1 star 99.9% of the staff are super super lovely; except Sylvie whom at breakfast called me over in-front of other guests, my husband and my parents in law to loudly shout at me for taking hot water, orange and a Madeline up to make a bottle/later snack for my baby. Please bear in mind this was our first morning after a late evening arrival the day before so we hadn’t had a chance to go shops or even discover the area. When I tried to nod with a smile and walk off. She continued to call me over and shout at me. After getting over the shock of how someone can speak to a paying guest like that. I sent my husband down to return the 2 items. She insisted to keep them and that she wasn’t been rude it’s just her Mediterranean nature (funnily I’m also Mediterranean) and said she’d apologise to me when she sees me but never did in the 2 weeks we stayed there. -1 star as we are 2 weeks later and still waiting for clarity on the bill charges and refund that cost us money due to currency exchange.

One night stay, had a great time. Lovely, large, cool reception area, check in was fine. Pool area is lovely. A few people were on their phones being very loud but the hotel can't control this. People sat on edge of the pool, despite many notices saying not to. 3 small drinks 10 euros about the expected price. Room was large and a/c was good. Had nice view over the pool. There are a few bars and restaurants nearby that give you a few options if you fancy an evening out. I'd definitely return. A pleasant change of scenery for us.

It was the worst hotel of all the ones I have been to. The room had a broken air conditioner, broken curtains, we could not close the windows. Because the air conditioning was broken and we could not turn it off in the room it was 17 degrees Celsius. No duvets, we had to sleep in sweatshirts and cover ourselves with sheets and towels; only on the second day after several requests in the evening we received blankets. The bedside light was broken and not repaired. When cleaning, only towels were changed, beds were not made up, bathrooms were not cleaned, soaps, lotions, shampoos etc. were not added. No kettle etc. despite information at time of booking. Damaged, unusable furniture on the terrace from which our daughter hurt her back. Food in the restaurant from frozen products. In spite of our intervention, no one apologised to us, did not offer to change the room, we were treated as intruders. Incomprehensible pricing policy, one day ordered drink costs 4 euros, the next day the same drink costs 6 euros (?!) For everything described above I have photos and videos, which will be made available in the near future on all portals and websites for Hilton hotels to warn potential customers against visiting this hotel.

Ok depends what you like. This hotel is not located on the beach or in walking distance to lots of restaurants and cultural centres it’s a typical resort hotel. However, as resort hotels we found it excellent. Excellent because the rooms are well proportioned. The food is as good as it needs to, the pool is fantastic and the staff are superb. Would stay again. PS maybe but the lake and sort it out. Bigger problems in the world i know but it’s a bit of an eyesore. Taxi from airport €30 Taxi to Murcia €43 (some fantastic restaurants there)

Hotel & rooms we're nice but unfortunately they had a bad fly situation in the restaurant. Breakfast was swarmed with small flies in and around the food, on the evenings they'd get into bottle of champagne or wine. I think once they solve this problem, it would be great. Simple things like fly zapper outside and inside is much better than wasted expensive champagne. At Breakfast, using food covers instead of having open hot & cold plates. Hope to see improvements on my next trip.

We stayed for 5 days at the Double Tree Hilton Murcia on a golfing holiday from Dubai. The hotel is very clean and comfortable offering lovely beds and feather pillows, quite A/C and helpful courteous staff. Breakfast was varied and of good quality and they offered free car park when you became a Hilton member for free. We decided to dine one evening in the Vinoteca restaurant and had a drink in the bar beforehand. I had the best pink gin I have ever had prepared in my life by the lovely bar man Dalibar Blagojevic. It truly was a deliciously well balanced drink of dried and fresh fruits. We were also honoured with his presence and experienced guidance of wine selection with our meal in the restaurant. The wine he suggested was delicious and perfect with what we ordered but sadly the food failed to impress for a 5 star hotel. The grilled squid was ok ‘ although nothing special, but the cod my husband had was wet and soggy, cool and tasteless as was the wet mush of parsnip below. Very disappointing! We were grateful at least for the professionalism and expertise of Dalibar for our lovely drinks that we enjoy and hope Hilton realise what a gem of an employee they hold as he told us he has worked for them for 15 years! What an asset he is for Hilton and hope they realise that! Hopefully they will take on board our opinion on the poor quality of the restaurant food and then it would make it a perfect blend!

Beautiful hotel on the inside, very flat and dull from the outside. Had breakfast here which was buffet style. Would recommend going for continental option as cooked breakfast was not what you would expect from such a high class hotel.

Stayed for 4 days at the hotel. Our second time here. The room was fantastic and looked out onto the pool.Staff at reception, pool bar, breakfast are excellent and cannot do enough for you. A special shout out to the man at the pool bar who gave my wife a bag of ice for her shoulder when she couldn't move it and the lady who came to my kids room to take blankets out of their duvet covers and put duvets in at 22.00. Will return. I

The best food amazing desserts, the best beef we had carpaccio and steaks too surpassed many others in the region. Pool is wonderful service was great all around rooms lovely a great place to rest sleep and relax but in the middle of nowhere so you will have to drive to towns and beaches but who needs them at this place.

Extraordinary, very luxurious hotel with really helpful staff and great amenities. The best place to relax - very quiet place with everything you need around (restaurants, supermarket, bars). It is located in a golf resort (as a name would imply) and if you don’t play golf consider renting a car to visit Murcia region since there is not much to do in the close surroundings. I am definitely recommending this hotel!

Well maintained property, nice staff. We went to the spa, which was also very pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

We’ve stayed here several times, never disappoints. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool area lovely, rooms are great, pool bar serves very nice lunch, there’s a lot of positives. Staff are helpful, friendly and professional, Angel on front desk especially helpful, nothing too much and he always makes time to check all is ok. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for everything.

Although 15 minutes from Mar Menor Coast, this hotel is a hidden gem and unfortunately will get discovered by more people. The hotel pool is perfect for sun bathing, swimming and lunch pool side. Staff very helpful and rooms excellent with very comfy bed and quiet aircon. Breakfast was great with chef to do eggs. For those gluten intollerent, there was gulten free substitutes. Close by a range of restaurants

First of all, the weather is the main factor, that’s why we came, winter sun. We don’t play golf so I can not comment on how good the golf is. But the place is nice. Just not our ‘cup of tea’ it’s an expats place, not really Spanish. But it depends what your looking for, if you like football, beer and noise, (oh and sun) in the bars and restaurants, you’ll be happy here.

Bad weather forecast caused early closure of pool bars, but this was premature and we could have aten outside. No mini bar, although this was advertised for the room. Kettle but no tea, coffee etc. Beds good. Food in restaurant excellent 😋. Staff in restaurant excellent.

Amazing experience with Doubletree Hilton. Our first time staying in Murcia and we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to stay in. The room was superb for me and my girlfriend as the King Room was fitted with a balcony which overlooked the outdoor pool and the entire of the golf resort. We had a late flight arrival on Monday 18th when we checked in and we was greeted and had a smooth check in process. The breakfast was amazing and was included in our stay and is a buffet including multiple different options for different dietary needs, my girlfriend is vegetarian and found the selection to be good choice. House Keeping was very quick with their cleaning and would always ask first if we wanted our room cleaned. We stayed until Monday 25th of September we had a late flight at 9pm back to London and we was allowed to extend our check out until 2pm and stayed in the complex until 6pm. I would like to say a big thank you to Desiré a member of the reception team for being more than helpful during our stay, we went into Murcia on Thursday and she ordered us a cab because of the language barrier. Overall, We would love to visit again in a few years time. We had the best time and a well needed break, I just hope the lake is a little better next time haha. Muchos Gracias.

Overall hotel is very nice, beautiful outside pool, but quite cold water in mid September. The spa didn't have functional stream or sauna, it was in poor condition. The housekeeping service was very bad, we stayed for 6 nights and all they did was emptying the bins and changing towels. The floor was not cleaned or vacuumed, and since we had a crawling baby, I could see it on his knees. Food in restaurant for dinner was delicious, however breakfast food choice very average. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so it is good to come there with car, so you can be flexible to move around.

We stayed there with kids (9 and 14) for a long weekend in October. I really like the hotel-staff, very helpful and responsive, in particular reception & restaurant (breakfast). One can swim (indoor/ outdoor), we did some family-golf with a great trainer (David), massage in the SPA etc. There are some restaurants in this (artificial) village. I just do not like these kind of villages much ... The hotel is not luxury but value-for-money and in its category 5*. We would come back for playing golf.

The Hotel has gone down hill tremendously, the surrounding area is in a poor state of repair, the carpets inside are threadbare and need replacing. Locally everything has been closed down, for the money they ask for the golfing facilities are a joke. Don't waste your money, play Mar Menor or another course

Lovely big rooms with balconies. Friendly staff. Fantastic outdoor pool area. Is located within gated community so lots of free street parking around hotel.

Really comfortable accommodation, the services at the top, the urbanization until the cleanliness, and the cleaners are guarding it at any time, and even the swimming pool is clean and comfortable with the guard. My family and I were very happy with these wonderful days that we spent

Our stay was fantastic. The superior king room was very good and we slept like a baby. I am a Hilton Honours member and I can say that the hotel merts every Hilton expectation. Lovely pool with amazing view. If you have a car, eat in the awesome Italian restaurant Trattoria, it is a 10 minute drive and so worth it. We went there because the staff of Acacia was very rude and it turned out very good.

This is a hidden gem in the entire Hilton portfolio. $90 per night including buffet breakfast in a resort is unbeatable. Fantastic views, even better swimming pool, kiddie play room, another indoor pool, gym, & spa with 25 euro manicures are just some of the desirable characteristics. Yards away, within the gated community are 3 pubs and an Indian restaurant. Wednesdays are street fair evenings with vendors selling everything from burgers to buttons.

Lovely hotel. Good service and food. Pleasant pool. Shame about the continous music from the pool adjoining the hotel. After a while it gets a little to much. Maybe I am getting old !

Excellent venue, outside seating, spacious rooms, and a very good breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Will come again if I had a chance.

Very poor room service. Hilton by name only. No tea/coffee in room. You need to ask for this daily, toilet rolls and tissues not replenished during servicing, again you have to request. Full on duvet on bed in the middle of summer, no top sheet. 2 glasses in room on first day then progressively disappeared over the week not to be replaced. Room sprung a leak from roof on first night flooding the floor. Maintenance carried out a repair but no follow up from management to see if satisfactory. All in all a very poor experience. Never had this at a Hilton before.

Hotel in a gated community with a 18 hole golf course threaded through it. It clearly had a lot of money spent on it when it was new around 2005 but its fair to say that done parts have been left behind since. The complex itself has a couple of bars, restaurants and cafés in it plus a local Spar shop otherwise not much to do in the area unless you have a car, hotel staff were amazing very helpful and hotel is super clean with an incredible 'lagoon' infinity pool that is cold and I don't mean luke warm even on a 31° day its cold enough to take your breath away personally I loved it but its not for everyone. Makes a good base if you've rented a car or if you want a relaxed do nothing holiday it's perfect

Hotel is beautiful within a gated community. Laura at the front desk was awesome. She was friendly, helpful and gave us great upgrade. Nice and quiet resort. Inside bar served good drinks with great service. Rooms were clean, spacious, and had ample amenities.

It's a quiet place with a lot of potential as it's situated in a nice golf resort. The staff is hard working and very polite. The food could be better especially to a 5 stars hotel. Some services like gym and spa were closed due to Covid. Some decorations and improvements to the rooms and additional staff to help with luggage will be perfect.

  • 2/5 Nazim D. 2 years ago on Google
It is no longer a 5 star hotel. Iron was not electrically safe. The bath water was dirty, the outside balcony had more than fair wear and tear... and lots of other little issues. They didn't attempt to fix anything for 24 hours. They sent an engineer to fix the bath, but they only told us at checkout that he couldn't fix it with a guest in there, but we weren't offered another room even though there was availability. On a positive, the staff were very nice and polite. The barman and waiter was fantastic. The pool was nice, but again the parasols aren't kept well. One fell in the wind because one of the wheels was broken.

Keep away. Very bad attitude. Walters at breakfast restaurant ignore you. At 11 they start throwing things in order to make it clear you have to leave hotel. Cleaning lady leave rooms open, that don't close automatically as hotel is old. Hilton clean stay policy is not respected here. Restaurants are closed and serve you in a painters hall. So unless you need tonplay golf here, go to other and better hotels.

We are here over the Masters weekend on a golf resort and the hotel does NOT subscribe to a channel that allows us to watch the masters. Right now we have darts on the TV. Who goes to a golf resort to watch darts. Hilton you need to get your act together. This is less than unacceptable 🤬😡😭

  • 5/5 Claire C. 2 years ago on Google
My room was beautiful but unfortunately the phone didn't work and I was unable to phone for room service which I did need due to my disabilities so unfortunately I had to struggle to make it to the restaurant. Also, throughout the hotel room corridors was a really unpleasant damp /foul water smell I don't know if this was a problem with the drains or the outdoor swimming pool and lake
