Amazing market just outside city center of Murcia. Veronicas Market was built between 1914 and 1917. You can find here 2 floors full of fresh food. Downstairs you will find bakeries as well many fresh fish stands, upstairs you will find fruits and vegetables. Very fresh and well priced. Little to no eat-now options, only for takeaway and not ready yet.

Take a journey back in time and experience. How is your grandmother? Went shopping for fish, vegetables, bread, and any other supplies that you now find at the grocery store. If you get a chance, buy some shrimp or calamari, and have it cooked on the spot as you drink a beer in the sun.

This is a large 2 tiered indoor fresh produce market near to Murcia's main shopping centre. The ground floor is largely made up of butchers, fishmongers and delicatessens whilst upstairs it's fruit and vegetables. As always with these markets on the continent it's a colourful and vibrant place together with the smells of it's produce. Well worth a visit even if you're buying anything.

Great wee cafe at the end of the market!! Go buy what you want to eat, bring it back and he cooks it for you!!! All at a good price!!! Needs more seating though!!

Great selection of sea food, meat, curred meat, fruits, vegetables, cheeses abd etc. Reasonable prices, must visit.

Had a look around Central market. Great variety of produce, quite atmospheric, like these markets as in Scotland have died out. Due to large supermarkets, they have taken over the food system.

Fun to walk around and check out the meat, fish, vegetables, cheese, etc for sale. There are 2 floors here.

One of the old market places in Murcia. Must see if you want to check one of the traditional markets of the city and get a taste of many types of the food that the city offers. Authentic!
