Simply outstanding. The palace, the ever courteous, friendly, helpful staff, the ambience, the royal feel and atmosphere, the mouth watering food which is even less spicier than our daily home cooked food but tastier than any restaurant, amazingly nice. So much enjoyed the stay. The best palace hotel in West Bengal, beyond doubt. All 👍🏻up indeed. Thank you so much for your royal hospitality.

Hidden treasure amongst the historical opulence of Murshidabad. A part of the building has been converted into a Hotel and a restaurant. The place lacks proper guides to show around. The caretaker and his wife took the onus to ealk us around the property and made us feel right at home. Missed the historical references. No entry tickets required.

It is a glorious place in the history of our Bengal.Sandwiched between Murshidabad and Berhampore, is the lesser-visited Cossimbazar. Often overshadowed by its more well-known counterpart Murshidabad, this historic river port has all the elements of an independent tourist destination. Cossimbazar emerged as a port town in the 17th century, and its history can be traced to the pre-emergence of Murshidabad. By the middle of the century, the Dutch, French and British had already established their trading posts (often referred to as factories) in Cossimbazar. Known for its exotic silk, the town attracted traders from far and wide turning the small settlement into an international trading hub.

This is a historic masterpiece in Murshidabad. A part of it is now renovated to hotels and restaurants. Unfortunately the time we visited this place it was closed, we couldn't roam around or explore the place.

We haven't stay in the palace but we visit this place as a visitor. You need to pay Rs. 50 per head to get an entry. Guides will be available inside to give you a proper tour of the palace.

Luxurious stay in a beautiful palace, very well maintained rooms, beds and bathrooms, excellent service, delicious and hygienic food, steeped in heritage and very close to main attractions of Murshidabad. Arup Biswas and Sutapa were ever vigilant and prompt in providing any help required. The property itself is a worthy tourist spot.

It's a nice place to spend a few days in a royal ambience with a 'feel like a king' mood. Rooms are renovated with modern amenities but kept in royal era furniture with an elegant look. All the rooms (14 in total) are surrounding an open and large sitting area. The dining hall is also equally vibrant. It might be a nice experience for all who like to spend holidays in a royal mood.

We went there for lunch yesterday, food was very good but the hospitality and behaviour of in house staffs were not quite good. Probably they we trained and told like that. After lunch we went to see the Rajbari where we needed to purchase a ticket of Rs 30/- , BUT regardless of that you wont be allowed to click any pictures inside the Rajbari and max of 15 mins is given to look around and then you have to leave. If you are restricting people to click photos of self as well as inside premises then i think most of the guests will be quite reluctant to visit, also i have seen you are giving exception to some people who are all welcome to click pictures and videos inside the premise and when they are posting publicly and when you are restricting after that to majority of people then this question is arising to many people. Hence Overall you can skip this place and visit other historical places which are worthy visiting.

I stayed for 1day in the suite room in Dec 2021. Awesome place to stay, well maintained property, good food, quick room service, very smooth and co operative front office.....nice clean rooms and decor room..one word Lovely ambience and experiencing a royal feel. Special mention to the lunch.. Just excellent.. This hotel is Conveniently located. Toto, Auto, Car, Bus and other transport services available just infront of the hotel gate. Hotel has its own transport desk and arranges car to visit all tourist places in Murshidabad. Hotel has a small but nicely maintained lawn / garden.. I will definitely recommend this hotel...

This place is sooo nice . Had a very good stay here . The staff is very good, and it helped a lot. The food is so homely, I loved it. Bit costly but worth every penny.

In one word it's just an awsome experience , It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had complementary breakfast , lunch and dinner. Food was extremely testy and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Thanks one of the owner Mr Pallab Ray , extremely humble and very kind personality and room manager Arup Biswas was efficient attentive , quick responsive .

I syayed there for two nights. It is comfortable but quality of food and menu have spoiled the entire things. They have no plan and infrastructure to develop fooging. Breakfast is comparatively good. Hospitality is the best

Wonderful experience. We stayed for 2 nights here. Well-maintained property. Served good quality of food. Received very courteous behaviour from each of the staff. Specially thanks to Mr. Arup Biswas for all sorts of support during the stay. And i want to thank Mr. Nisithh ghosh, he is also very helpful to guide us for the trip, starting from booking to setting the itinerary for this short trip. Overall nice experience.

Firstly, I would like to thanks Mr. Pallab Roy, one of the owner of this palace, who talked with us and guide us in a very humble manner. We (me & my husband) spent one day here and it was totally worthy. The essence of royalty can be felt in every corner of this palace. All staffs are really helpful and polite to us, whenever we needed anything they provided the same without any hesitation. One of the staffs accompanied us for a tour of the palace, while describing the history in a way that we started imagining them.

Simply loved the rich culture and heritage of this place. It's really commendable the way the royal family is still maintaining the legacy of Bengal in today's commercial world. This royal house should be included in the itinerary of Bengal's tourism trip. So much to hear from the royal family members. Really moved by the grandeur and cultural richness of the family.

Extremely unhappy with the professionalism of the space. After a miscommunication on their part where the booking was confirmed, (I had recieved a mail), they showed that it was not and had no rooms to spare after we travelled from another city. This is clearly not how hospitality industries work, unacceptable behaviour, cost us resource, time and wasted aggression.

We just went there to have our dinner at the restaurant, but we discovered that we had to book our meal online before we would appear there,They had only roti, chicken, paneer to serve us.Then they offered us one extra dish a mixed veg which they made for their renowned guest staying at the palace hotel. This is quite humiliating. We had to pay a lot of money 💰,but the taste of all the dishes were not good at all.

A really historical place with a huge nostalgia factor. The mashi who gives a tour around the palace is a well mannered lady who adds a striking delight to the tour. They also have a restaurant at the premises offering good food. There is also a boutique. During Durga Puja, the palace organises a puja which is quite well known in Murshidabad for its grandeur.

It is a beautiful heritage property . It is being renovated into a aesthetic heritage hotel . One will find the rooms , the lounges & even the lone restaurant styled with beautiful antique furniture . The property is also quite sprawling and even boasts of a tennis court . We had a chance to meet the owner , who has dreams about the property as well as Bahrampore & Murshidabad developing into a big time tourist spot . The food at the hotel is also well cooked & homely . The staff are friendly but at times amateurish . If you are looking for a short holiday around Murshidabad look no further .

It is a realy awesome place. It has a really historical atmosphere with stories and tales lurking in every nooks and corners of the palace.Although staying one night and listening to the evening music might give you the best experience but a short visit can also help you feel this unique essence.

Lovely ambience and experiencing a royal feel. Special mention to the host who was gracious and friendly and made sure his guests enjoyed the visit. Took us through the whole tour of the palace while narrating the history of the place and its people. Not to forget the cultural programme organised on the special eve of noboborsho and hearty dinner at the end. Looking forward to another visit.

Rude manager Nishith .. forgets his verbal commitments. Would suggest to record phone call conversations with him. The compound and the place where puja happens seemed nice. They have a beautiful 300 years old tree which was the highlight for me ... Other than that felt overhyped!

Excellent experience - classy, safe, neat and clean place. Authentic old world charm, takes one back to the zamindari days of medieval Bengal. Cuisine is simple and wholesome. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - just that they need windows.
