Located at 160 km North of Mangalore is the temple hosting worlds second largest Shiva statue in the world. The temple has a great aura around it. We can witness the Shiva statue from the Raajagopura and the view from there is worth the trip. There are statues of Sun Chariot on side of a park, pool, statues depicting Arjuna receiving Geetopadesham from Lord Krishna, Ravana being deceived by Ganesha in disguise, Shiva's manifestation as Bhagirath, descending Ganga, carved around the hill.

This is mainly the entrance of the Shree murudeshwar temple. An eighteen story tower is a modern engineering Marvel, lots of beautiful sculptures are carved on the tower. And you can visit the top floor by the lift with just a 10 rupee ticket but you will have to wait as there is always a queue. The view from the top of the tower is so mesmerizing. You can easily watch the whole town from there. The view during sunset is altogether a different experience.

Located in Karnataka which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea.Raja Gopura, located at Kanduka Giri Hill, is one of the prime attractions of Murudeshwar and must be visited by all tourists.20-storied Raja Gopura is constructed at the temple. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a view of the 123-feet Sri Shiva idol from the top of the Raja Gopura.Tourists can see several sculptures, such as concrete sculptures of maidens, in the temple premises. It also has a twenty-storied Rajagopura with two full sized elephants at its entrance. The temple is built using granite and showcases the South Indian style of architecture.

The life service allows you to go up to the top of the gopuram. Adults are charged Rs. 20. Temple hours are different from lift service hours. 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the morning Evening: from 3 until 7:30 There are four window-sized openings on each side, and one of them allows you to see the Shiva statue, which is constantly packed. The entire Island was seen from these windows.

The viewing deck experience can be made much better , understand the limitations but if there can be a provision for viewing deck which pans out towards Bhagwan Shiva, it would be simply amazing. Really great architecture marvel with minutest details available for devotees to see. The Gopuram is main entry to the devasthan. Lift: lift facility is available for 20/- per adult and 10/- per kid. No upi Parking: available outside the temple Timing: 9:00 to 12:00 15:00 to 19:30 The Raja Gopuram of Murudeshwar devasthana measures 209 feet in height. Climbing on the top floors of Raja Gopura is the best things to do in Murudeshwara but the authorities dont allow you to climb up

Raja Gopura is a prominent feature of the Murudeshwara temple complex, which is located in the town of Murudeshwara in the Indian state of Karnataka. The temple complex is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a popular pilgrimage destination for Hindus. The Raja Gopura, which translates to "King's Tower," is a towering structure that stands at a height of 249 feet (76 meters) and is considered to be the second-tallest gopura in the world. It was built in the Dravidian style of architecture and is adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. The construction of the Raja Gopura began in 2003 and was completed in 2008. The tower was built by the R.N. Shetty & Sons group, which is a construction company based in Karnataka. The construction of the tower involved the use of the latest technology and engineering techniques to ensure its stability and safety. The Raja Gopura is a major attraction for visitors to the Murudeshwara temple complex and offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscapes. The tower is illuminated at night, which adds to its beauty and grandeur. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the panoramic views from the observation deck.

Rajagopuram stands tall along with Lord Shiva statue near the sea shore. One can get to see whole temple town from 18th floor through a lift. Weekends and holidays might get crowded a bit.

It's very tall and lift service available to go to 18th floor. Window on top are small and gets very crowded so not much time to enjoy the views. 20rs lift ticket is reasonable.

Standing tall at the entrance of this amazing shrine is this beautifully constructed gopuram . You can enter the gopuram and experience a breathtaking 360 deg view. Entrance to gopuram starts from 7am -12.45 in the morning and 3.30- 7pm in the evening. You require a lot of patience to stand in the queue as it takes a huge amount of time. They have 2 lifts that can accommodate 8-9 people at a time. But one of the lifts were out of order so it took a whole lot of time. They r really strict with the timings so it’s better to not wait for the last min. Charges are 10 for adults and 5 for children. . Truly A must visit architectural heritage

Too much wait (1 hour approx). There is no open deck but 4 small grilled windows for the whole batch. The view will be good with Sun light else not worth it.
