Great beach on west coast of India in Bhatkal Taluk , Uttara Kannada dist of Karnataka. Beach has lots of activities like speed boating, a facility for scuba diving, a temple for Shiva in the background, a good hotel and a must see place

One of the most beautiful temple I have ever seen. Wonderful loaction, huge entrance and huge lord shiva statue, all by the sea. The near by beach is huge, people literally drive cars on that beach. Very very good experience overall.

This is a nice place for hangout and to enjoy sea bath. The sea was turquoise blue coloured and was crystal clear. But it mainly depends on the season you choose. This year I visited on 4th jun and the sea was calm and beautiful with small waves. Usually during the rainy season the sea is not too calm and it's dangerous for adventure sports.

Wonderful beach to spend time with friends or family. Nearby the beach the big temple and lord Shiva temple is located. Atmosphere of the beach is superb. Boating is available. The view of the beach and it's Surrounding view is just amazing. You can get a low budget room to stay. Tiffin centre and small restaurant also available near the beach. A very calm place , you will be refreshing. A must visit place for vacation or weekend trip.

Two months ago in visited. Beautiful beach. Very small but has its own beauty with its irregular plane with sand going up down like a hill which also makes it a bit dangerous to go near the waves as suddenly it may rise or fall deep. Very nice place to spend a relaxed evening watching sunset. Can see a lot of locals and families enjoying here.

One of the biggest beach of this surrounding. In summer touriat vehicles parking is allowed in this beach. One can drive on this beach and enjoy spectacular view of Arabian sea and tall Shiva statue of temple and tall gopura of Murudeshwara Temple. Lot of shopping stalls available during summer.

The place is located on the beach one side it has large shiva idol, opposite to it a monumental tower and both sides are surrounded by the Arabian sea. The place is really good and gives you some very good vibes. We can actually buy a ticket and go in the lift into the tower and have the beautiful view, but as per the traditions, people say we shouldn't enter into those towers. The maintenance at the temple for darshan was pathetic, no one to take care of public and there is no rush inside and they are stopping the line for more than half an hour. If there would have been proper maintenance and system, we could have completed our darshan in 15 mins, however it took 90 minutes for us which is really bad. The parking is also a loot, they charge 30 rs and ask to enter inside, however the parking would be full inside and we have to go and park it in the beach which is actually free of cost. The police were very irresponsible and doesn't even take care of traffic. Due to one large bus we were struck in car for 1 hour and police were seeing the drama and enjoying it and had no sense of clearing the traffic and the people had to clear it at the end. Murudeshwar Beach is an absolute gem on the Indian coastline! The pristine waters, golden sands, and the stunning backdrop of the Murudeshwar Temple make this place a must-visit destination. The beach offers a perfect blend of serenity and adventure. You can take a leisurely stroll along the shore, enjoy water sports, or simply relax and soak in the breathtaking views. The cleanliness of the beach is impressive, and the local authorities have done an excellent job of maintaining it. The iconic Shiva statue towering over the beach adds a unique charm to the place, especially during sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon here is a memory I'll cherish forever. The local vendors offer delicious coastal snacks, and you can also explore the nearby temple and its intricately carved architecture. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or simply seeking tranquility, Murudeshwar Beach has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this hidden paradise – a true testament to the natural beauty of India's coastline. #MurudeshwarBeach #SereneBeauty #MustVisitDestination
