It is the second largest Shiva statue in the world(Largest is Kailashnath Mahadev Statue in Nepal). It is the statue of Lord Shiva in a meditation pose. It is Surrounded by the Arabian Sea on three sides. One Gopuram (Tower) is located near the statue, which has around 18 floors. We can enjoy the entire panoramic view from the top of this building. Best time to visit is evening. There is beach around where you can have an amazing evening. There are many restaurants for variety of food and hotel to stay overnight . The view at night is very spectacular. Good place to spend time with family and friends.

The Murudeshwar Shiva statue stands tall as the third-largest Shiva statue in the world. This majestic and magnificent structure portrays Lord Shiva in a state of deep meditation. Set against the backdrop of the ocean, the statue creates a mesmerizing sight that captures the imagination. A visit to this iconic landmark is a must for anyone seeking spiritual solace and a chance to witness the grandeur of Indian mythology brought to life. Prepare to be awestruck by the sheer scale and beauty of this monumental tribute to Lord Shiva. Architecturally, the temple is a masterpiece, seamlessly blending traditional Dravidian style with modern aesthetics. The intricately carved gopuram and the colossal 123-foot Shiva statue are awe-inspiring, capturing the essence of Hindu mythology. Facilities are well-maintained, enhancing the overall experience. Clean pathways, informative signboards, and souvenir shops contribute to a seamless visit. Murudeshwar Temple is not just a religious site; it's a harmonious blend of natural beauty, architectural brilliance, and spiritual tranquility. A definite five-star destination that lingers in the heart and soul.

The Murudeshwar Temple is a sacred place of worship dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and regeneration. The temple is renowned for its massive 123-foot tall. This impressive statue, which took over two years to build, is the second-highest Shiva statue in the world and can be seen from a distance. The placement of the statue allows it to gleam in the sunlight, making for a stunning sight in the morning hours.

A huge, magnificent statue of the God Shivji makes one humble to the core. View from different angles literally gives a sense at times as he himself is present right there in front of us. It's just mesmerizingly beautiful. The location of the statue with a backdrop of a massive sea at three sides gives a divine feeling altogether. Hours and hours can be spent here at a stretch yet feel insufficient. The place is just "Fabulous".

Murdeshwar Temple was built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea. It is dedicated to lord shiva, and a 20-storied Raja Gopura is constructed at the temple in 2008. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a view of the 123-feet Sri Shiva idol from the top of the Raja Gopura.

The place is located on the beach one side it has large shiva idol, opposite to it a monumental tower and both sides are surrounded by the Arabian sea. The place is really good and gives you some very good vibes. We can actually buy a ticket and go in the lift into the tower and have the beautiful view, but as per the traditions, people say we shouldn't enter into those towers. The maintenance at the temple for darshan was pathetic, no one to take care of public and there is no rush inside and they are stopping the line for more than half an hour. If there would have been proper maintenance and system, we could have completed our darshan in 15 mins, however it took 90 minutes for us which is really bad. The parking is also a loot, they charge 30 rs and ask to enter inside, however the parking would be full inside and we have to go and park it in the beach which is actually free of cost. The police were very irresponsible and doesn't even take care of traffic. Due to one large bus we were struck in car for 1 hour and police were seeing the drama and enjoying it and had no sense of clearing the traffic and the people had to clear it at the end. Statue of Shiva is mesmerizing. It humbles you with its giant structure. Below the statue of shiva - there are Bhukailas caves where history of Murudeshwar is spoken through a speaker and various sculptures are depicting the scenes. Since one can enter at any point of time and background music is also too high, it's difficult to follow the voiceover of the story. It would've been great had a small write up is put in front of each visual. Also, the voice over seem to be only in English which might not be understandable for sizeable population. Statue on close view appears to be not well maintained. There are areas where there are cracks and dents. Given the divine nature of the place, it would be great to maintain the structures well so that these can be sustained for longer durations. Shiva statue, temple and raaja gopura are at one place and can be covered in one go. There would be entrance fee for four wheelers entering the premises
