No place is "not that bad" but some tourist spots dosnt care about tourists itself. one such place is elephant adobe boating centre. I would rate this as a place to skip. To ride a normal pontoon boat, that is 20 members 2000 rs, the ticket giver told us to take one ride completely. Asked if you could couple with other tourists, they were not ready. Me with wife and 2 kids (6, 8) had to take a boat ride of 2000. Since i had other plans we simply dint go. food court was good. only we can take pictures and spend some time by sitting.

We visited the place in October 2023 and the boating was closed for the last 2 months. they were collecting the fee for person and parking for nothing. It was good to relax and take pictures.

Boating is arranged in Anayirankal Dam Reservoir. Boat options like Speed boat, Motor boat, Pedal boat etc are available. We had our boating in Motor boat which can carry upto 20 people at a cost of ₹2000 for approx. 20 minutes ride. Boating experience was really good and we were fortunate to get the sight of a wild tusker on banks of the lake.

It's also one of the best places to visit in Munnar. It has a lot of activities like boating. The price of boating is also reasonable. There are different types of boating available like individuals, and also group ones. Overall, a good place to relax and chill.

A must visit place on the way from Munnar to Thekkedy. There are tea gardens, a huge dam site, a few options for Boating like speed boat, kayak, paddle boat, round boat etc., a few eateries, a shop, a watch tower, and a few nice spot for photography. We did speed boat for Rs. 1100 per boat having capacity of 5 members and the experience was awesome. Although the speed boat manager was rude (typical govt. employee), the drivers were good. They take you to for a big round. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO SPOT ELEPHANT ON THE HILLS. You experience the best of Munnar atmosphere while in the boat. Overall, it was totally worth it. Your driver may not take you there (this being a government operated site, may be they don't get cuts), YOU HAVE TO INSIST FOR A STOP. It will take 2-3 hours to enjoy the fullest.

Great experience! Even spotted a wild elephant during boating. There is no rush here when compared to mattupetti dam.

If you are lucky you can spot Elephants there who do come there to drink water. And boating is superr fun. Worth every penny you spend. Must try. Its a beautiful location with lot of insta pic or videa locations.

It is a good place to relax and enjoy the view of the dam reservoir. One can also opt for boating or grab snacks at the cafeteria.

We just loved the boating experience at Elephant abode Lake. Wasnt much rush as this was off peak time to visit Munnar. Thankfully its banned to dump stuff in this place and i guess people follow it too. So you wont find any tea cups, wrappers, chips packets, etc etc in the lake/ on the sides.. :-) Felt really good to see that. Sunny days chilly mornings and evening/nights. We booked a boat for 2000 that accommodates 20 person. So we did little marketing and convinced 16 more people as we were 4 already. So per head it was Rs 100 . We enjoyed the ride it was for 30 mins:-).The depth of the lake is 90 feet and it spreads across 1 km radius.

Anairanghi dam was super... Never miss boating here... During boating one can see wild elephant herd on any banks of the reservoir, particularly in this summer season, where they come frequently to have water.

Awesome place to visit @ Evening & morning. Please mind to get in before 5 pm. Rowing boat & kutta vanchi facilities are superb. Nelson, kutta vanchi rower seems to be customer friendly. Over all a great experience in Anayirangal. Wash room facilities needs to be improved.

There is hardly any water in this lake at this time of the season. Please don't fall for the fake reviews/ratings of this place. Last week I went to this place and it was waste of time & money. The quantity of water in lake right now shows that not enough water has been there since quite some months. Just wondering who is giving 5 star reviews in recent posts? At the gate itself they will charge for per person entry & car parking. From there you cannot see anything. Once you enter you will realise there is nothing worth. There are some basic shops & paid play area for kids. You can still boat in a very small, shallow area. Boating options are very limited. I believe location people are only publishing reviews to some how attract crowd and make money. I can certainly say this would be a better place after rainy season when enough water will be there. Till then, you can either avoid or just go there for a short walk.

Water reduced tremendously on my second visit during June 2023. Good place in munnar to visit. Ticket rate is 400 for one pedal boat, 1200 for speed boat (max 5 person only) and 2000 for ordinary boat (max 20 person)

A must visit place in Munnar. Entrance fee is a bit high there is nothing to be paid for. Gor parking, they are charging extra. There is a cafeteria which is highly priced. 70rs for a maggi is really high. The boating experience is really awesome... You should take Coracle ride... It was really a good experience.. ✌🏻

It's beautiful dam having tea estates around . But boating is not available due to High Court restraining order. No coffee or tea shop. To enter boat club, you will have to shell out Rs 40/ per head besides parking fee for your vehicle.
