This old quaint place is perfect for people who are looking to stop time and breathe easily. The place is as it was 20 years ago and holds an old world charm from the British era. You could explore the place for crafts and even the British era furniture and artifacts. Unfortunately this is great when it comes to the ambience but not when it comes to the amenities. The blankets provided were so heavy that I could not lift it in the night to cover myself when it slipped down. 🤣 I woke up so many times in the night just to adjust the blankets. The mattresses are rock hard and seem like stones planted in bed. Gave me a back ache in the morning. The bathrooms are drafty with cold air seeping in when you are trying to get a warm bath on a cold evening.

So I went back to Anandgiri as I used to stay here when I was school. It was a blissful time as all the parents used to book the entire hotel and we kids had loads of fun. So there was a bit of history for me. When I went back there after many decades. I found that nothing has changed at all. The rooms were the same, probably the same. Blankets from 30 years ago (and my seniors said the same thing 30 years ago 😊).bthr mattress is also very very old. The staff is nice and friendly and the place is still extremely beautiful with loads of flowers and lovely trees. So to sum it up. If you are going for nostalgia then it's a great place to soak in the old times. But if one is looking for a comfortable place with good amenities, then perhaps look elsewhere.

It's a lovely place to stay. Nice quaint simple, vintage furnishing and surrounded by greenery in almost the city's heart. If you like homely ambience then go for it. Service is great. The food was good. Only thing is that you need to plan and order in advance as the staff don't have much stock or even cooking staff round the clock. Food served is fresh and tasty. Please try their Western Dinner which all in my family loved sans the caramel pudding which is made of egg and smelled of eggs and didn't like the smell for dessert. Items like roasted chicken, dosa, soup, cheese sandwich and fried rice tasted so good and just like home. The dining hall is also very accommodating and you can visit in groups as well.

One of the best stay I ever had. Situated nearer to rose garden, bus stand, ooty lake. The rooms are very nice. Rooms can be connected if you are family. The best thing was they provided Bible for reading and lots of books. One big common area where we can have chit chat. It's also having their own restaurant and dining area. Food was very good. One can easily spent their time here itself without going outside.

The Charges are very nominal with Good Customer/ Guest Relationship and is led by the Manager, Mr.Patrick, who is a very cordial and excellent human relationship professional.

Location is right in the heart of ooty. Service is good. Food cooked and served is homely. The rooms are just ok. There is no generator and power can just go off. The rates are ok but remember that staying in the rooms near the reception have an issue if there are unruly children in the first floor as their every moment can be be felt below as its a wooden ceiling. Advantage of rooms here is that they are near the restaurant. Tourists in Rooms below have to climb up to the main block. we can park our vehicles near the rooms below but it's not possible to drive up and down.

👍👍 Well maintained. Old vintage type place. Queen palace room is very beautiful! It has a tunnel too. Very good place to stay and relax with family! Secured place with very friendly people! Booking is alone a issue because they accept only online booking!
