Was looking for a cafe and came across Willy's. The cafe is on 2nd floor and the serve homemade kind of food. Had Masala Tea, Hot Chocolate, Veg Samosa, French Fries and Cheese Veg Toasted sandwich. Worth the money

There are lot of stories around this cafe. One of the oldest most of the town knows about Willis pub . Recently owner own oscars for their short film elephant whispers . I must suggest try banana cake and ice tea here they are very delicious.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. First of all, the building this place is located at feels so creepy. It's so dark and feels unsafe to visit at night. Secondly, the food was not at all good. We tried french fries, pizza, burger, sandwich, rolls and a dessert. Nothing was good. The only thing I liked here is the vintage vibe with well organised books and outdoor seating, even tho there was no good view.

Seeing the mind blowing reviews, decided to try this place ! First off, it's so creepy to enter this place especially if u r with women ! It's on the first floor and low lit ! We were honestly worried to just get in through the first floor ! Inside is a small library and few tables to dine in ! Not much flamboyant menu or prices ! Rates are the cheapest I've seen in Ooty ! Banana cake was good but mudpie was not so great ! Coffee was ok too ! Over all an average experience and nothing as much as the hyped up reviews ! If an uplift and makeover done, this place can rock !

Nice coffee shop with lots of books in ooty town. Located in first floor of an old building in a busy congested area. Sandwiches, coffee, tasty desserts and snacks. Nice traditional ambiance to chill out with coffee and books.... Must visit for coffee and cafe lovers

This is one of my favourite places to visit in ooty. It is underrated and not many tourists know about this. It is a small cozy cafe ideal for coffee and quick bites. There is a lending library inside the cafe as well. It is very relaxing to unwind with a hot beverage and a book here. Their cakes are moist, taste home made and very reasonably priced. Must try drinks- lemon ginger honey tea, hot chocolate, lemon tea, coffee Dishes- chicken cutlet, sandwiches, pizza and burger, mud pie and brownie.

This is a peaceful place to sit in near the market. You can spend time reading and enjoying your cup of coffee ☕️ or 🍵 . You need to come inside the established and take stairs . It's on the 1st floor.

Excellent food that was freshly made, local tea and coffee, very attentive staff and quiet atmosphere surrounded by much-loved books from the classic authors like C.S. Lewis.

One of the worst cafes I have been to. The service is extremely low. I ordered veg cheese sandwich, hot chocolate, filter coffee, veg cutlet, chilly garlic toast and willys special pizza. The veg cutlet was average. The pizza had only tomato and cheese and was not even cooked. The chilly garlic cheese toast was pathetic. There was barely any cheese. The filter coffee was also bad. Ooty is this the best you can offer? An awful experience. Do not come here.

Willy’s Café Visited the restaurant after reading its positive reviews. Was not disappointed at all! There is no parking in the narrow lane so park in the public parking area next to the theatre (?closed) a couple of buildings next to it. The cafe is on the first floor and is very clean. The decor is simple but elegant and it also houses a book library! Mr. Kumar and his boys are deft and quickly serve their fare. We ordered a veg burger and sandwich, a chicken Willy’s special burger, chicken samosas and they were all superb. The mud pie and banana cake proved better than the A-rated bakeries in Mumbai. The prices are reasonable and the service is very good. Would highly recommend it.

Quaint little café in Ooty with a lot of books . The sandwiches here are amazing and perfect for takeaway and picnic. Try the veg club sandwich, Hazelnut Cappuccino and the brownies. Excellent omelettes too. Amazing taste and hygienic. Yes, the access could be improved but it's a very old building. Café is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs. Great service with a smile. Interesting tidbit: the name of the cafe is inspired from the 1993 movie about the dolphin, Free Willy. You can see beautiful art depicting Willy on the wall.

Very friendly. Delicious cappuccino and the walnut brownie was rich and moist. Lots of young people here. A nice place to spend a cloudy afternoon in Ooty.

This quaint little well hidden cafe in the heart of the town is one of our favorite spots to come to when we are in town. Their sandwiches and hot chocolate are amazing... which is what we always have...recommended visit for sure...the warmth of the owner and the neat library in corner with books you have forgotten from your childhood is an added charm

This charming cafe is a sandwich haven! Their menu boasts a delectable array of sandwiches crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From classic combinations to inventive creations, each bite is a burst of flavor. Combined with a relaxed ambiance, it's the ideal spot for a satisfying and flavorful meal.

Pocket friendly cafe & library with simple and homely junk food. They also have good dessert items like banana cake and mud pie but these are with eggs. Must try their filter coffee :)

It's a very quiet cafe to relax, read books and sip on some great coffee. The coffee and hot chocolate we tried were nice. Don't try their pizzas tho, they're not good. Very budget friendly place so, can't complain!

A gem of a place in Ooty! It's a little hard to find and might seem shady at first, but don't let this deceive you, the ambience and the place will grow on you owning to warm hosts :) Seems like it's just an old couple running the cafe with a not a wide menu. We tried their cakes, tea, samosa and chilli garlic toast. Again, everything may not have looked the best, but everything is prepared fresh and is so good. Comforting, tasty and filling! All that at a very good price point. They also have a huge library of books which we didn't get time to explore. A place you can keep going back to.

We shortlisted this place cause of the high ratings. View is not that great. Staircase/ Corridor leading to the cafe isn’t well lit or clean and could make you uncomfortable. Prices are affordable but food quality is not up to the mark. Staff was sweet.

If you are in planning to go to Ooty or currently in Ooty, add this place to your must visit bucket. The place gives us such a unique experience which you can't find in any city. There is a small library and the place is very neat and clean. The people here serve the food with lot of passion which you can feel while tasting it. It is an underdog in the hill station.
