Worst airport in Europe I've passed through. Very badly organized immigration queues. Expect to wait an hour, as only a fraction of the passport control booths are manned. Sticky and dirty floors. Lastly, after looking at the 5-star reviews here, they look like they were written by the airport marketing team. Update: Standing in front of a closed customs gates from terminal B to A for the EXPRESS transfer route... Update 2: After 20 minutes waiting, they finally opened the doors, and they have passed our luggage though security... Now standing in front of EMPTY passport control booths... Update 3: 15 minutes later. No staff, no food or toilets either... Update 4: Finally through. 50 to get minutes though the "Express" route. Actually the fastest yet πŸ˜‚

This trip was my first time through Brussels Airport. 2023-01-03. It's quite modern. I'd say it's rather easy to navigate even from the train platforms which are under the airport. Security was straight forward. They have the modern conveyer system with bins to put all of your luggage and belongings in. Currently, they do require laptops and ipads to be removed. It's the only airport I've been to in the last few years that still requires this. Shoes (even my heavy hiking boots) were fine to keep on though. Food options in terminal A + T are solid. There are food options for everyone. All service people were very welcoming and helpful. An excellent travel experience!

This airport is one of the main hubs in Western Europe. The terminal for the flights exiting the EU seems to be less equipped than the ones for mainland Europe. It may be due to the bigger number of flights operated there. There are some good options to eat spend time till your flight yome.

Brussels Airport is a well-organized travel hub with many positive features, making it a reliable choice for tourists. The airport's modern facilities, efficient security procedures, and a variety of dining and shopping options contribute to a comfortable travel experience. The cleanliness and maintenance of the premises are commendable, creating a pleasant atmosphere. For tourists, the airport's accessibility and connectivity to the city center are advantageous. However, signage and information could be improved for a more seamless navigation experience, especially for first-time visitors. The multilingual staff is generally helpful, but additional assistance points could enhance the overall tourist experience. Despite minor areas for improvement, Brussels Airport stands as a reliable gateway to explore Belgium and beyond. With its positive attributes, it ensures a smooth and enjoyable start or end to your journey.

The atmosphere was great a lot of information around and directions. Before you go through security you have a cafe and shop out so you have quick chat to say your last goodbye. The duty-free was ok not a lot of the shop was open after security so choice was limited

Airport is fine. Security check is less swift and comfortable than in other airports but still fine. Food options are not really good there, though.

Excellent airport! You can find every facility you need, from food to seats, sofas, charging ports, restaurants, bathrooms, tables… Very clean and organised. Since I am a pianist, It’s thrilled me to see a grand piano in the airport. Brilliant touch!

National airport of Belgium. Not very big, but a lot of destinations offered by the most important airlines. More than enough restaurants and pubs to have drink while waiting and shop to buy a last minute gift. Parking space sufficient to leave your car.

June 2022 - Arrival Took flight from Montreal to Brussels and the arrival was very smooth. The signage’s are clearly marked for arriving passengers. The wait at immigration counter was okay but it was working day. Also, baggage collection was smooth. There was shortage of taxis and need to wait for 30 mins to get the taxi outside. There can be long queue but it was smooth. June 2022 - Departure Summer season is just started so be ready for long wait. Check in was smooth but immigration took atleast 90 mins. Luckily Air Canada did not leave without passengers. Everyone is in hurry so try not to jump the queue. However airport staff offered water bottles. Try to reach atleast 3-4 hours in advance if you want to do shopping. Brussels airport is famous for chocolates so find your bargains.

A nice and comfortable airport in the heart of Europe. You get easily there by the train that is under the terminal. Gets crowded very fast in some places, so it is a little bit small for the loaded days with passengers. At the gates area the airport is clean, comfortable with seats, WCs, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. For checkin Monday morning you need more time as the line is big.

A small airport where you can relax before flights. At the CAMDEN FOOD CO Bistro, there were bones in the Caesar salad in the anchovy fish. Photos are attached. It's dangerous ⚠️! Chefs work carefully.

What a dismal airport? Zero style or finesse. Less like a country's prestige ambassador, and more like a bus station. The food is extremely overpriced and the restaurants have less appeal than a greasy spoon cafe. As an airport on purely basic requirements it ticks most boxes.

Pros: Brussels Airport The Heart Of Europe One of nicest airport in Europe. At first impression upon arrival from the train or bus, the airport seems poor, as there are only two cafes in front of the check-in counters but once you pass through the inspection gate, you will find everything you could need before the trip or during the transit period. There's a very nice food court area after passing the duty free shop with many varieties for restaurants, gift shops, pharmacy and money exchange office. The duty free shop is nice. There's a available many options for transportation from and to the airport such as public bus, Taxi and private care. The ground services staff friendly, helpful and speaking englishbvery well. Cons: The airport became crowded it there's too much flights at the weekends and holidays so it's recommended to go early as usual. Otherwise can't complain.

A large, airy, and efficient airport. It was such a delight to bump into the Tintin rocket just as you are heading to the exits. Other Belgian culture artifacts abound around the airport. There are plenty of restaurants for you to catch up on seafood, fries, and waffles that you might have missed during the stay. Our luggage arrived very soon after we arrived at the carousel.

Let me start with the downsides: it was like 30 degrees Celsius for n the area next to the Quick restaurant; all charging stations next gate A45 weren’t working. The good thing ls about the airport: easy to find your way, clean restrooms, fantastic train connections to anywhere in Belgium and neighbor countries.

One of the best and most luxurious airports in Europe! It has nothing in common with the miserable Charleroi Airport. Brussels National Airport is absolutely huge, packed with restaurants and shops and full of benches, clean toilets and things to see. You can reach it by bus, underground or car. I reached it by bus 620 which was very cheap but I waited for it 2 hours! Keep that in mind. Also, because the airport is so huge, you should come a bit earlier just to have enough time for the long walking.

Line every airport. This airport only smell money in every part, it’s a temple of business, buy, buy, consume, consume and then you do it again, over and over again. But I love the design and the people working here they are so friendly. The cleaning women are dressed up in nice dresses, wearing heavy makeup and looks like stars, lovely to see;)

I was raised with the idea that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all so...I never say this lightly: I hate this airport. The queues are a nightmare. Flying in from London, we stood in line at customs intake for a full 90 minutes in a hot sweaty hall. At one point they passed out water. Leaving Brussels, the British Air check in staff started 15 minutes late and the boarding pass kiosk had the airline's option blacked out. I'm sure there may be nice things to say but I'm out of patience. Thirty five minutes after check in was supposed to start, this picture shows the queue. Perhaps 25 people in front of me were processed. We got to the check in counter an HOUR after they opened and we were the halfway point.THEN another 30 minutes to passport counter and that's only because our flight was boarding and we literally bulldozed past the queue with other passengers from our flight. Next time, it's the high-speed train from London. I'm over this place. Zero stars. EDIT: I found a nice thing to say! The police at passport control were actually really friendly and we had a little comedic relief. That's a blessing. I sure didn't want to board my plane in the foul mood I was until I met those nice policemen. So Brussels airport, at least you earned that one star. Thank your policemen.

Probably one of my favourite airport in the EU. Well laid out, clean, ample dining 🍽️ and shopping πŸ›’ opportunities. Great selection of newspapers and periodicals at Relay. Of course, high quality chocolate, fabulous beers to choose from, Tintin, Snowy & the gang visible at every turn - what's not to like

A strange time and an empty place. Never saw an airport that has been robbed off its life rather than that one before. Vending machines instead of a lively snacks and beverages bars. Passengers look equally sad and dull (and I feel like being included, too). I admit coming from a country with a blue sky it didn't help seeing the drizzle outside the windows and taxing back to parking position because of a technical problem didn't improve the situation 🀭. 2021/10/11 I received a reply from the airport: " ...be advised that Brussels Airport has many restaurants and bars where you can enjoy one last drink before your flight". Well, that sounds good and I will give it another try.

Transitioning from the United States was a breeze. Border control was friendly and the airport staff very helpful. EXCELLENT chocolate selection. If I could change one thing it would be to have connection gates posted a bit earlier as I tend to like to go to my gate, get the lay of the land, and then venture out to shop. Regardless, a great airport and one I would be most happy transiting again.

Beautiful airport and great service. It only took 20 minutes to clear the security checks and immigration. Many shops are there to do your shopping and duty free.

This airport has the most facilities and services for travelers. Multiple places for work and fun. A play room for kids, and pray rooms for every different faith, smoking rooms, lots of shopping places and cleanest restrooms compared to other airports like AMS and BER. I found Terminal A more comfortable than B with great seats for taking a nap and also with larger seating space at gates. The security was professional yet tried to look friendly. The only problem was that they were on a strike when I arrived, causing very long waiting lines.

Not a big flashy Airport. But gets the job done. You will not find so many options for eating and shopping, very few of them available at arrival and departure terminal. Downside is if you are arriving at the evenings and you need to go through the immigration, then it is horrible, will take minimum 1.5 hours to go through. The airport is clean. After 7 pm most of the shops is closed remember that.

In the hart of Europe, Zaventen Airport is one of best European airports. Hundreds of stores of different types, pharmacy, restaurants and free-shops are available to satisfy your last minute needs or to buy something on arrival. If taxi lines are taking too long, go to the parking building, in front of the terminal, get the lift to floor 4 and call an Uber

the city center. The airport serves as the primary hub for Brussels Airlines, as well as a number of other major European airlines. One of the strengths of Brussels Airport is its modern facilities and efficient operations. The airport has undergone significant renovations and expansions in recent years, and now features a wide range of amenities and services for passengers. These include a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as lounges, currency exchange, and baggage storage facilities. Brussels Airport is also known for its strong safety and security record. The airport has implemented a number of measures to ensure the safety of passengers and staff, including advanced security screening procedures and 24/7 surveillance. Another advantage of Brussels Airport is its convenient location. The airport is well-connected to the city center via a range of transportation options, including taxis, buses, and trains. This makes it easy for passengers to reach their final destinations quickly and easily. Overall, Brussels Airport is a modern and efficient airport that provides a high level of service to its passengers. Its commitment to safety, convenient location, and range of amenities make it an excellent choice for travelers to and from Belgium.

Comfortable modern airport. Obviously the airport where you should drink a couple of Belgian speciality beers whilst waiting for your next flight! ✈️ 🍻

The lounge in A gates is amazing. It serves all of the flights going in and out from Schengen countries. Also, they welcome United Airlines gold card. In the B gates, for flights to USA, there is only a private lounge that does not recognize UA Gold, even though there are direct United flights to NYC and DC. Plus there are no decent food options in A gates area :-(

Easy airport to navigate. Very good onward connections via public transport all within the building. Lots of good shopping and food outlets. But by far the best thing about this airport is the Brussels Airport live information direct to your phone. Makes it all stress free as guides you through the whole process effortlessly.
