For nature lovers, for cloud watcher, for trucking experience, for explorers you should visit here the maintenance is not good but you can get a raw natural feel. Broken boat house near the watch tower reduce its beauty. Government should take actions to maintain this place. For Geographers and geologist you should visit here.

Amazing place and unexplored mangrove forest .... It's run by the forest department of Tamil Nadu and has limited boat rides to and fro from the mainland... It's similar to pichavaram mangrove forest but has wooden platform to venture in to the mangrove forest and enjoy the nature's view Must visit place It's 85-90 kms from Karaikal

Avoid this place for atleast 1 year....coz you can see nothing due to gaja.....all trees were uprooted

It is mangrove forest. Boat ride is required need 1.30 min to 2 hours. Under forest department control, need to get permission on spot any boats are maintained by them, the office is in the beginning or on entry of town and boat launch is 7 km away, so get permission and get tickets from them. They will guide you and accompany with you.

Very good place to see. The backwaters and mangrove forest. Very natural. Not polluted. Very calm and quiet. Lot of birds to eat fish from the water.
