Emergency room

😠 A very bad memory of my stay in that emergency room. While waiting for a series of test results, I witnessed many poor situations on the part of the staff towards arriving patients. Orthopedic block - inhuman approach, unpleasant comments towards people. Especially one bald man... No words. A little... People often mention people, pain, emergency, hours, doctor, waiting, nurse, wait, room, patients,

1 star is way to good when evaluating the type of human being that works in this place. I have been living in krakow for 5years, I understand Polish well, but I still don’t speak. I arrived at the registration cause my husband is coughing and we needed to see the doctor. The guy from the reception said: IF YOU DONT SPEAK POLISH THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, NOT MINE. And he refused for many many times to register my husband in. He started to give excuses for everything, even we were willing to pay for the consultation and everything. It was a very stressful situation and after 40 min insisting he finally did registered. The hospital was packed with people and the receptionist was playing ego games with us. That was ridiculous and the worst service I have ever seen in my life. I have been to this hospital several times and every time there is someone who treats us badly. But today was the worst day I have ever seen. I really don’t know what these people have in mind. Why do they work in a hospital if they can’t deal right with people.

Horrible and incompetent nurses and doctors. After experiencing bleeding in the middle of night in pregnancy we went for the emergency just to check is everything fine with baby. There were no signs of labor so we just thought it will be quick check do we need to go somewhere further. I was marked as not urgent case and no one came for 1 h. After three intervention that included making scenes and threatening to report, I was finally checked by gynecologist. Two actually. First (younger woman) one behaved like a butcher and I was screaming from pain from regular check. Also I was accused that I was never examined in my pregnancy ( which was not the case, I see doctor in private clinic which treats woman normally).Second gynecologist was ok and finally took me seriously and organized transfer to other hospital. Never had worse treatment in the hospital! P.S. doctors sleep during night and they will not awake unless you where shoot! Stay away from this place!

Scandalous behavior of the nurse, Mrs. Danuta Firczyk, and the doctor, Mr. Jan Magiera. I came to the emergency room on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 7 p.m., with a hand injury that I had suffered the day before. Pain in my right elbow, I couldn't (and still can't) straighten or bend my arm at the elbow. I suffered the injury on Saturday, February 3, around 12:00 on a ski slope in Slovakia. A drunk skier hit me. At 7 p.m. I registered for the sora. Approx. 7:30 p.m. I was called for triage and from the very beginning I started being attacked by the nurse - why did I choose this ER when I have another one closer to where I live (why does the nurse need my address? ), why didn't I go to the ED in Slovakia, why didn't I take painkillers. I started to reply that I didn't have to explain why I did that. I wanted to say that I pay taxes and ZUS contributions in Poland and I want to use the National Health Fund when I need it. The nurse shouted so much that she jumped in her chair - that I was uncultured, that she was a freelancer, that she was sitting here for 12 hours, that she was just paying taxes... and another nurse and a doctor got involved. Neither the nurse nor later the doctor even listened to what I said. The nurse told me to raise my arm in the shoulder joint and said "well, your arm is moving", when 2 minutes earlier I said that the pain was in the elbow joint... When this pathetic "examination" was over, the nurse only said "12 hours of waiting, wait outside office C. After about an hour, the doctor called me and didn't ask what happened, he just told me that I was rude, that I forgot that I paid taxes and that I had alienated the entire medical staff from the very beginning. A scandal, the doctor didn't let me finish my sentence, he didn't even listen to what hurt me or under what circumstances I suffered the injury. He said to go to other emergency departments because people from all over the province come there and they have too much work. Finally, he sent me for an X-ray and said that my hand was intact. Unfortunately, I have to go to the doctor again under private health care, because the pain is getting worse, as is the tingling in my hand. Scandal, scandal, scandal. If your nurse and doctor are not satisfied with the work they do, it may be time to consider changing their profession. Moreover, health care is for patients - not the other way around.

minus a star, personally, the entire staff, without exception, should be fired, along with the crooks who dare to call themselves doctors. lots of patients without proper service. I witnessed a client who entered quietly, when he learned that he would have to wait for several or a dozen hours, he started simulating pain and screaming. like crazy. in a few minutes they fixed it up and with a smile they left this pseudo-SORR with a smile. They spent PLN 70 million but saved on staff BRAVO KRAKOW

Very bad service, brought my wife to the emergency room, in very bad pain which had her crying. The person in triage was a racist who is anti-Ukrainian, who told my wife she needed to speak polish, of which my wife was, because she did not understand one word my wife did not understand, and told my wife she saw no problem.and made us wait many hours, because the woman coded my wife's problem as a non emergency room problem. My wife has been sitting in the emergency room lobby because of the racist in triage.

I suffered from kidney pain for two days, an ambulance came for me, and after being admitted to the emergency room, I was given the lowest priority! Probably because when I was admitted, the pain stopped due to the medicines given in the ambulance. After an hour of waiting, I gave up because if the pain came back, I would be safer at home than in the emergency room. Judging by the comments, it was a good decision The waiting room was full of people, an old lady sleeping on a sleeping pad. This is just sad

5 hours of waiting and nothing. They just made announcement that if you’re not almost dead, it makes no sense to wait any longer. Nice and clean building but zero service

Very first person you meet in the facility is a sociopath (registration lady). She knows that you are weak and in pain and she behaves maximally rude without any reason. I’m really hoping someone can take care of that. It is not acceptable.

I think it depends on your luck. I was there twice, one time with a bone fracture which was not a busy time, not a lot of patients so it took under 2 hours from arrival to casting. Lines are big and waiting times are long, I saw even woman with severely damaged hand wait in line for a really long time (over 3 hours). Receptionists are rude, always. There is usually someone speaking English among doctors or nurses. With more complex problems, I think it can be very hard because they will try to push you away to GP or not even accept you if they think issue is very general and is not directly threatening your life. Some nurses are nice and patient, many are not. Not every doctor is available at any time so you may have to wait for a specialist additional 2-3 hours. Overall not the worst I have seen and considering Poland has a "free" healthcare system. Hope you will be lucky with doctors or rather wont ever have to visit this place.

Worst place ever, came with a very striking chest and back pain, almost couldn’t breathe. Instead of giving an immediate pain killer they made me wait 5 hours, doing all kinds of unnecessary staff. After yelling at them that I need immediate attention they again made me wait another 20 minutes and put me on a dropper with natrium chloridium. LOL. I yelled again and demanded to stop this nonsense, and was greeted with rude comments about how in wonderful country of Poland you can decline any medical services. Might be happening a lot there… Since they consider that a big plus!

I don't know how Kraków being a big city has such stupid emergency service. The hospital is big and seems to be very structured. Entering there having emergency you get a sociopath on reception and stupid lack of any assistance later. Aren't there health professionals in Krakow that could work here? Need urgently to develop a minimum emergency service. I had other experience on Prokocin SOR for children, there I got good service for my son when needed.

Complete crap, zero competences, rude staff, Emergency Department suitable for liquidation, not for admitting people

Very poor place. No matter how much you writhe in pain, help will not come... Well, maybe after 12 hours of waiting. In general, the poverty is terrible for such a hospital to function like this. What more can I say, all the negative comments are true.

Hopeless, if you don't have any visible sign of imminent death, please don't go there. Save yourselves.

I recommend this branch! Sunday 7 a.m., arrived in great pain, home help was of no use. The patient was admitted immediately as a high priority. Help was provided immediately, with drips and a number of tests. After 6 hours, recommendations and discharge with a referral for further diagnosis and treatment. Emergency help in this matter was received :) While sitting and waiting for my partner in the waiting room for 6 hours, over 30 new patients arrived - only 2 of them qualified for the Emergency Department and received help immediately. In the meantime, there was a broken patient after an accident. I'm not surprised by these negative comments, I heard a lot of complaints about patients sitting since 8 p.m. the previous day: with a sore ear, a cough, a bruised ankle (a week ago on Wednesday) or a headache. The Emergency Department is not a clinic, 90% of people should be sent to a family doctor on Monday :) People, think before you block a place for someone more needed. Health!

Lack of empathy among most employees... I understand that it is hard work, but if someone decides to take up this profession, they should know how to work with people...

Brought our friend to this God forsaken place after calling for an ambulance 6 times. He was very Ill with terrible vomiting and pooing. Very dehydrated and could keep nothing down Took from 1am to 10am for him to be treated and from 10am to 5pm for him to have his 'consultation' so he could pay. We would have just left but they refused to take his IV out.The entire process took 16 and no other patient had to wait nearly this long. We highly suspect that he was treated this way because he was foreign. No compassion and no care! Stay far away Was also no soap or toilet paper in toilet

The younger medical and nursing staff from the Emergency Department are suitable for replacement. Complete lack of empathy, culture and tact towards patients. In Triage, as a patient, you are treated like cattle, a cursory medical interview that no one records anyway because Gen Z nurses are busy flirting with each other or making fun of more or less troublesome patients. When asked what a migraine with aura is, all I got from a nurse who was about 26 years old was "f***ed." Nothing more. A harsh approach, people fainting in the corridor or in the toilets. DELAYING in admitting people who really require it and ignoring complaints about the deteriorating well-being of patients who were previously ordered to inform about it whenever anything happens. Semi-conscious elderly people sleeping on red chairs - no one is particularly interested in them, unless some machine to which they are connected starts whining or the IV tubing draws half of the blood. Two cannulae were inserted unnecessarily, to which the doctor's comment was: "Well, now you have two." Throwing the results in patients' laps and walking away before they can ask anything. Patient misinformation, solicitation, mockery, ridicule and showing each other memes while working - we all know that as doctors you also need a little break from your profession, but the Emergency Department and the people listening to you around you are not the best place. I made several visits to this hospital, each one was worse than the previous one, and I wholeheartedly advise against seeking any help in this facility.
