😠 I love to support my local businesses, so when they opened I went there a few months back and didn’t like the attitude of the lady there and the food wasn’t good. At that time I thought they’ve opened recently so maybe the quality of everything will improve. So, I went yesterday and I’m sorry to say... People often mention lady, African,

I love to support my local businesses, so when they opened I went there a few months back and didn’t like the attitude of the lady there and the food wasn’t good. At that time I thought they’ve opened recently so maybe the quality of everything will improve. So, I went yesterday and I’m sorry to say but the lady’s attitude and the quality of food is worse than my first visit. I’m posting pictures just because I took them while I was waiting for my order. Bottom line I will not be going back again ever. Not recommended at all.

Well worth it! In Ghana they have a saying, TIA (This is Africa). Seeing some of the peoples reviews, y’all need to know that in Africa, this Restraunt is legit. I’m sad to see so many mentions of negative attitude. My fiancé and I both came here today and at first the lady wasnt warm but by the end of our meal there, after we spoke with her and shared some conversation she opened up beautifully and we had a great conversation. Food wise, it was tasty, spicy, and the portions were huge. We just came back from Ghana last month and it was awesome to be able to get an African plate of food here in the States. That’s a first for me. For those who think that the lady had a bad attitude, consider the cross culture and there’s more than meets the eye. I feel like it was worth the trip and experience if you want authentic African flavored foods and quality.

Everything was good and while the lady got right to the point when we walked in, she was very nice. Will definitely be going back there again, you get a lot of food for your money. I got the fufu with goat meat and okra stew.

JUST STAY AWAY!!!! Yesterday after work, I ordered okra soup with a full fried fish (they were out of the cassava leaf). When I got home the okra soup was burnt & scorched and the fish was cut up into 3 small pieces and it was cold. The rice was old & hard. Today, I went back to exchange the food at 11am, they were not open. About 15 minutes later they opened. I spoke to the young lady who was pleasant and stated it would take 15 minutes to prepare. So I waited. Upon her return with my food she rung me up for the full cost and I asked do I at least get a discount since I returned my food. She said one second and went to the back. Came back and said here you go. I said thank you and as I picked up my food to leave the old light skinned lady came out with an attitude. Next time you need to call. I responded, I was just here yesterday after 4pm, you rung me up (incorrectly) and she said you need to call first. I’m thinking it’s not what you say but how you say it. This lady took my order wrong and knew the food was burnt when she sold it to me. How is she blaming the customer for her inadequacies is beyond me. I finally told the lady, I’m not calling next time because I’m not coming back. And she was like oh well. I said if you prepared your food correctly in the first place no one would’ve to bring it back. It was a lot more I could’ve said but being that she’s a woman of a particular age I reframed out of respect for my elders. This place has potential with the correct staff. I’m a professional American trying to support but I’ll go to Maryland mom & pop African restaurant before I drive 10 minutes away from my job to go there. I wish I had taken pics of the food. The okra was black burnt.

Meal was served in decent time, quicker than I expected. Ordered Fufu and light soup jollof rice and meat Kebab and ginger drink. It was all a hit. My kids approve of it, and they're selective. Portion was decent and well priced. I'm sure coming back.

An opportunity to try authentic West African foods. The jollof rice and meat offer a unifying theme, which is always rice, a spicy tomato stew, and the seasoning made up of curry, thyme, ginger, and chili pepper. The portions are excellent, along with the flavors. Meal came with a great spice level, enjoy it 😋

Don't believe the negative reviews. The food was absolutely amazing. Remember, this is an authentic African restaurant operating on African time. Things move nice and easy. If your in a hurry this is it the place for you. But if you want to relax and eat something amazing. This is the place to be

waiste of money turkey tail is either uncooked or too dried to chew, fried yam is not fresh it’s from the day before. The jollof is the worst jollof we ever bought and my brother run 🏃‍♀️ to the bathroom right after eating his jollof and no taste very disappointing. All the food looks like over night.
